"Visited the restaurant on a midweek after work catch up with friends. When ordering we asked for tap water in which the waiter replied they do not provide tap water due to covid we asked why and he had no justification and that it was...just due to covid. He then went onto say they do not provide their usual on the house side salad either as again due to covid We were baffled as to why they refuse tap water as by law they cant refuse this. We carried on eating then as just a few mins before finishing the food a waiter put a sign up on the wall next to us which said card machine not working, cash only This sign was up even last year as we remember and you could tell it was a sign which was being used all the time as the paper was so old and crumpled. These people evade tax basically! As we were about to finish up we then noticed a strand of hair in the veg biryani. Completely mortified we askd for the bill and wanted to leave asap. I then showed the waiter the hair i found he was not phased at all by it and just walked off! I then insisted that we are all paying by card when the waiter pointed at the notice and said that the card machine does not work. I replied that i hav seen this notice even last yr and how its very cheeky to put it up conveniently while we were eating. I replied well due to covid, we do not handle cash so pls go get the card machine The waiter then went and spoke to management to relay the message and came back to tell me very discreetly that we can pay by card if we come to the front at the till. Do not eat at this place! Fraudsters! The food quality has gone down. Extortionate prices. Very disappointed."

"Dining out is all about stimulating all the senses. The ambiance, the service the food.... all in there own way contribute to either having a bad, or 'just ' a good dining or having a really good memorable dining experience. As you enter you come into what looks like an 'old open plan public bar ', which is not particularly inviting, however you are quickly ushered right into the open dining area. First observations of this are very nice, but on a closer look you do get the impression that they either ran out of money or ideas in respect of the finishing touches. Seriously suggest they change the curtains and remove the very 70 's window vases?? Service overall was very attentive and helpful and totally acceptable. The floor manager does need to 'loosen ' up a bit and be a bit more gentle in his approach. Tended to rather shout and although helpful, this was a bit obtrusive. We only got a 'check back ' after we had finished each course, which was too late. Lets talk about the food. The starters were superb. Would recommend the 'mushrooms ', delightful tasty. The lamb chops divine. So we were off to a good start! For mains two of us had a lamb dish, Laal Mass which was absolutely superb, our third friend had the Chicken Masala Dosa, which as a fully self contained dish was again superb. All these dishes had great flavours, lovely meat and were well presented. The rice breads were very good. As a side portion we had a portion of the black lentils, the Dal Bukhara superb!! So let me finish on my dish, a Lamb Patia, which I tend to select often when dining out...then I have to say it was one of the worst I have ever ordered. Bland meat in a 'tomato ' based sauce, in fact it really did feel like I was eating meat in a tomato soup? This was supposed to be a 'sweet sour ' sauce.... it was nether sweet or sour! Given the superb meals my companions were having only added to my utter disappointment. It spoiled the night, and I couldn 't wait to leave. Would I return, probably.... but I would be careful what I ordered.... and even if there in company would definitely speak up, and not as on this occasion deciding not to spoil the meals of the others in my party."

"Me and family usually eat at this restaurant. At first we thought it’s just a one time case but as we frequently visited it seemed to be their day to day normal behavior. The food is not that great compared to the actual preparation of the dish except the dosas, they are good. All other Indian dishes just does not have the same taste and it’s suppose to be. When we order for all members together we expect receive all ordered items together to avoid anyone waiting and looking at others who received their food, but this doesn’t happen here. We ordered food for adults and child, the food for adults were received but for a child a simple chicken noodles took an hour to receive. We did share our food with the child and by the time the food was received the child wasn’t interested. It’s a shame. We orders for a chicken dish and received vegetable instead upon advising the server of this they went to the kitchen and came back telling us it’s chicken coated with cheese inside. I had to literally show the server the outer coating, the vegetable and the cheese for them to understand the order was wrong. Then they apologize and say it was a mistake and a misunderstanding etc. We cancelled that dish in the end as it was already an hour for us to receive it and was afraid it would take another hour. When I initially inquired the ingredients in the chicken noodles it was advised that it’s chicken, noodles and vegetables. I specifically asked if there is egg and was told no egg. To my surprise the dish came to us with egg in it, the only reason we didn’t want egg is cause the child doesn’t like the smell of egg in food, but since the order took an hour, the child already ate and we adults had to eat it. It wasn’t great.. Finally the last issues I had is with the smell of the spray used when cleaning tables that finished their meals and left. It is so strong that I could actually taste it 2 tables afar. It did ruin my mood and family lunch experience. My advise is if you want to have South Indian food like dosa it’s good but other Indian dishes and service experience is really poor based on my experience.. We did have similar incidents in the past but always thought that everyone makes mistakes and it could be just a one time case, sorry to say we have faced this issues before as well and I think that the management is actually not interested or careless enough to ignore these issues. I hope this review helps someone to avoid facing similar issues and hope the management reads this and pull up their socks.."
