"put them around, young n girls, and listen to an old 27 years old telling stories of the greatest Indian takeaway this side of the missipi. lammkotten? peng. solid 10/10 chapati? fantastic. 10/10, would smash. chips? cruel, crispy and tasty. the thing that divides the young from the men is to store a load of the chips and their chapati-til near the end. When they finish the meat from their curry, they make small chip kebabs and use it to mop the sauce. balti exotica is absolutely equisite. order this always because they can garunteeee, someone else in their family has already ordered the lamb rogan josh and the chicken bhuna. they are great portions, so they will not end it, so they eat most of them, the rest of there, and save them the rest of them to the breakfast. onehandedly the best curry in somester"

Nice food and great service. It's a BYO for alcoholic drinks and they also sell a range of soft drinks. Our family's favourite curry house in Stockport. Highly recommended

Thank you so much! We had an amazing meal at this restaurant, our first time out after lockdown. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Don't miss out on this gem – you won't be disappointed! View menu

This charming Indian restaurant has friendly staff and serves excellent food in generous portions. There is plenty of parking available. We have dined here multiple times and have never been disappointed with a meal.

Make sure you book your table and remember to bring your own drink [wine or beer] as they only do soft drinks. The food is absolutely excellent, right down to the last mouthful and perfect service from the staff as well....well worth further visits.

I would always recommend this place because their food is always of a very high standard to choose from on the menu. They only serve soft drinks and if you require beers or wine, you have to bring them in yourself and the payment is by cash only. Definitely worth plenty of return visits. View menu

If you plan to dine at this restaurant, be sure to reserve a table in advance to avoid any disappointment if they are fully booked. Also, note that they only accept cash payments and do not accept card payments. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, and we all greatly enjoyed our meals. Please be aware that they do not serve alcohol, so you will need to bring your own if you wish to have beer or wine. Overall, I would highly recommend this place as everything about it is fantastic.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
