"Found this restaurant by chance. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have a pre concert dinner before going to the NEC. We were met by Shahir who quite simply epitomises what customer care and attention excellence should be. Nothing was too much trouble. This review is short and concise for a reason. The venue was clean, contemporary warm and welcoming. The order was made. 10 minutes later the food arrived. It was well presented and hot (as in temperature I mention this because I really do not like my food luke warm or cold, as do most people I should think). I have been to many restaurants home and abroad, most of which have been good to excellent. The food at The Delhi can only be described as a tingling treat for the tongue. 10/10 for the chefs. I am a carnivore and my partner is vegan, and they catered for both effortlessly. I will finish by thanking you and wish you the best. Keep to this standard and you will remain successful."

"Took several booking attempts to secure a slot as not keen on taking voucher and there seemed to be some issue with the older Groupon voucher, which the staff did explain when we arrived. The whole voucher set up is just unprofessionally managed. Food was nice for the price and would be happy to return. Interior is very basic but food does make up for this. Some nice options on the menu and will try some more in the future. Portions are small but not laced with thickeners etc which is most welcome Happy to recommend"

"They welcomed us even though it was already very late. The place is really clean and elegant, the service excellent, the staff really kind. They offered us a free opening dish, then we had 4 starters and 4 main courses, all really delicious and really plentiful dishes, so much so that 2 of us could have eaten from one dish. We reluctantly left a lot of food but it was a lot many asked for the dog bag. Thanks again to the very kind and very patient owner."

"I absolutely love this, I tried both the main dinner menu and the buffet lunch and both were amazing. the Italian and Indian food is really authentic, the personal is beautiful and the chefs really know what they do. the decor inside is beautiful lush fabrics and a warm comfortable environment. the buffet every day is a fantastic place to take a fast business meeting and fast lunch and the weekend is perfect for a family day. so far I was only for work in mumbai milano, but I am very pleased to visit her Sunday bread buffet with my family. all in all I am quite impressed by this place and look forward to going back!"

"Do not make a reservation at this restaurant! They are unreliable. We booked a table for a party of 5 at 4pm and traveled all the way from Essex, only to find the place closed. We tried calling multiple times with no answer, and even messaged them on Instagram, where the owner responded with attitude. They need to improve their website and booking process, especially if they only open at 6pm on weekdays. They should also be more considerate towards customers and treat each individual with respect."

"Pre ordered using just eat on New Year’s Eve and I cannot explain how terrible it all was. 3 adult meals got thrown away, one of the kids meals had to be microwave heated just to make it warm (it was still disgusting) and one of the side dishes (cucumber raita) was curdled to a point it looked like a small brick.. I called them straight away and was told that they could not send any replacement food as they were too busy but they would give us a 60% reduction on our food instead so we could at least order someone where else. Still not received promised discount, we’ve complained to just eat as we ordered through there App but because it was New Years they can’t do anything and the restaurant are now denying they even delivered to us.. I understand it was New Years, lockdown and that they were busy but how can you expect repeat customers when your service is so bad!!!!!!! Avoid the hassle and use someone where else!!!!!!"

"I tried the Sunday buffet, and I have to say, it was quite disappointing. The absence of properly set tables made the place feel closed down. The food was displayed in small heated servers, and the descriptions for the curries were written on star-shaped card cutouts with a felt pen, which didn't inspire much confidence. I ordered chapatis, but they never arrived. While the food itself tasted good, we couldn’t wait to leave. I would consider ordering takeaway from here to enjoy at home, as that would likely provide a much better experience. However, I wouldn't book a table to dine in again, especially when there are so many fantastic restaurants in the area with a great atmosphere. The owners need to put in more effort if they want this place to be more than just a takeaway spot."

"I recently dined here with a group of my golfing friends to celebrate our ‘end of tour’. As this year’s winner I got to choose where we went for our meal and I chose here. This was based on a meal my wife and I had had a week or so earlier where we really enjoyed the food. I was a little nervous as it’s not the biggest of restaurants and there were 13 of us. However I needn’t have worried as everything went smoothly from being warmly greeted when we arrived to paying the, very reasonable, bill at the end. The restaurant is clean and bright, the service good and courteous and the food lovely. Portion size is about right and the food served piping hot on pre-heated plates. Everyone afterwards said how much they’d enjoyed what they had. I’ll definitely return to try some of the other dishes on the menu and wouldn’t be surprised if next years ‘end of tour’ celebration was here too. "My wife and I were here in Kirkwall on a tour of the Scottish Highlands and needed to find a nice place for dinner. Dil Se seemed like a good possibility for a couple of reasons: it was convenient to our hotel and we love Indian food. With its bright exterior, Dil Se was very easy to find. We were welcomed as soon as we stepped through the door. The atmosphere was authentic and relaxing. You have to admire the logical way in which their menu is organized. There are the usual sections categorized by Tandoori and Biryani dishes. Then, there is a section for special Balti dishes. Following are separate categories for mild dishes, medium dishes, hot dishes, and traditional curry dishes. The variety of choices was totally amazing and it was a challenge to come to a decision but we finally selected Lamb Tikka Chasni and Tandoori Mixed Shashleek as our choices accompanied by lemon rice and garlic naan. As soon as we tasted our entrees, we knew we had made the right decision in choosing Dil Se. Our food was perfectly prepared and the portions were just right. It was truly a memorable meal. "Ordered a takeaway a couple of weeks ago. On their internet homepage it was offering 10% discount for online orders. When I paid, the discount did not come off the bill. I e-mailed them to report this and they replied within an hour. They apologised and told me that the offer had finished but they refunded me the discount as it still said this on their homepage. This was very fair of them and the refund was cleared within a few days. The food came a little earlier than the estimated time and was piping hot. We were very happy with all of the dishes that we ordered.....8 things altogether. We will use again and recommend to others."

"Horrific experience. I booked this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. However, I was really disappointed with the service and staff. It was meant to be for a family celebration meal but I found the service was very forceful, just couldn't wait to get rid of us. The food was also really cheap, dry and looked nothing like I ordered from the menu. I wanted to try out their Tandoori chicken but it came out like a KFC chicken wings? They don't do anything by the glass either so forced to pay for a bottle. Not worth visiting here. Go to the other restaurants in town!"
