"Among the dozens of Indian restaurants in Brick Lane, we reluctantly fell for the sales pitch at the door and decided to dine at Aladin. The menu was extensive, but seemed very similar to that of the other nearby curry houses. I decided to order the non veg thali. There was a good variety of offerings, but I was disappointed with the taste of the food. It wasn't bad, but definitely nothing special no deep flavors or spiciness to add to the taste that I have gotten accustomed to enjoying from better establishments. The interaction with the waiter was confusing at best, during the order process, but mostly at the end when he presented the bill. It was a handwritten check that was finally corrected after the fourth attempt amid a bunch of scratched off numbers to indicate the discount that the salesman at the door promised, and to also remove items that were double charged. The street level dining room was small, but somehow accommodated a lot of diners which made it very noisy. I will unfortunately not return to Aladin. There are much better Indian restaurants around London."

"Loved this place, really nice food good quality and reasonable price. Made my order on line, got a meal deal for over £30, but didn’t want 3 curries. Told them, no problem, really nice, had a glass of wine whilst waiting’ for my order I collected. Got home, guess waiting and we were item missing, called them, but the attitude of the guy who answered was shocking, he accused me of lying and said he had packed this himself, well it wasn’t and I wasn’t having this accusation. It wasn’t the fact it was 70p, or even £700, it was th the fact he was rude and started telling me about his banking issues. I’m done here, you keep the item, you’ve now lost a good customer. I won’t be spoken like this. You wasn’t busy as I was there, maybe thats why you’re losing customers, your treating them with contempt , if you need to lye to gain additional money, your not fit to trade,that’s stealing !"

"Upon entering this lovely restaurant, our dining experience was exceptional. We enjoyed the buffet and had a delicious meal. The service was outstanding, with a friendly and welcoming staff. Although they do not have a liquor license yet, it was easy to run across the road to Scotmid for a bottle of red wine. This minor inconvenience did not detract from our enjoyable time, and we will definitely be returning."

"The first time I ordered from Kismet, the vindaloo was amazing, the prawn biryani was excellent. I was a little disappointed that I ordered chili naan and received plain instead, and I ordered 4 pickles (wobble lime, red sauce, mango) but only got 2 (mint lime and wobble). The poppadoms were great though. Overall, it was a great meal at a good price. Thank you."

"This restaurant seemed perfect for our group of 6 friends with a round table. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, although we were allowed to order too much. However, we found the prices for pappadams and naan to be excessive. The food was served in large containers with lids, which made it difficult to fit everything on the table. The bill came to £60 per person, including 3 reasonably priced bottles of wine and some beers. Considering the price, we expected the service to be more refined, but it fell short of our expectations."

"Fleet Tandoori, close to Hampstead Heath, is a very friendly and reliable neighbourhood restaurant with an excellent menu that extends beyond Indian staples to speciality regional dishes. There is a particularly good range of fish dishes, including some tasty freshwater fish recipes that are well worth trying. "Since we last visited some years ago the Everest has made a real effort with their décor including a new beer garden out front. Lighting inside is decorative and colourful but overall ambience is a little too bright maybe? Our food was very disappointing, we ordered Everest Special Mismas and Mixed Grill Masala as mains. Both were higher priced dishes that were supposed to include prawns but there were none in either dish. The Mismas didn 't look anything like the menu photo but in fairness they do state Photos are for suggestion only: Actual Platters may appear DIFFERENT . The Masala grill was described as medium sauce but our dish was very mild with no trace of chilli heat. The stuffed paratha was undercooked and greasy. Pilau rice and vegetable bhuna side however were both very good. Kingfisher and Cobra are served on draft but both were charged 30p a pint more than the printed menu price it 's gone up was the explanation. Prices overall are fair but I was hoping for authentic tasty food that at least lived up to the menu descriptions."

"Went for my sister’s bday. Had a great time. Only few things is that they don’t give tap water and charge a lot for a small bottle of water. They don’t accept card payment. It must be cash for now because they haven’t installed the card payment machine, there is an atm right outside the lounge. The food was too tasty and will be back again to have it again. The Mocktails are so good and generally it was a nice vibe and great ambience. The staff were really attentive and made my sisters day really lovely."

"I visit regularly,So I thought I'll invite a few a my Taxi driver friends to try this fantastic place out. Wel! they were very impressed with how fresh and tasty the food is, We didn't wait long and there was nothing left on the plates. We ordered breakfasts, burgers and chicken dishes. Unfortunately we was enjoying it so much we forgot to take photos but rest assured Shirley Cafe is worth a visit. "This is the best Indian food we have had anywhere outside my mother inn laws kitchen. Authentic flavors, meat is tender, the mixed grill was to die for. Fish curry incredible and the biryani totally floated my boat, Service was prompt, and friendly, yes seating is a little tight and portions a little on the small side, but for this area it is still amazing value, you will not find a better Indian. I am eating the leftovers cold for breakfast : What a treat !"

"The restaurant was dirty, both the inside and the dishes used. The food was way too spicy (and I like spicy food). When we spoke to the waiter to tell him this he said we should have asked for less spicy (they should have given us this choice when ordering). A normal curry or dansak is normally spicy but not to this level (Phall level). The waiters were keen, but a bit too clean, when he was taking our dishes away he done this so quickly that some leftover food landed on my trousers. I would recommend that the restaurant is cleaned properly, dishes cleaned properly, ask people what level of spice they would like"

"OMG! This place is a true gem One of the best Indian restaurants in London, offering truly amazing food with a wonderful ambiance and friendly staff. I ordered the Lamb Biryani, Kerala Parotta, and Lamb Ularthiyath. While everything was delicious, the Lamb Ularthiyath really stood out. Even though the prices were reasonable, the unexpectedly high convenience fee came as a surprise. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in London!"
