"a nice afternoon dinner. we booked for a table of 10 for a afternoon dinner and had a good time. it can be difficult to book online so we arranged the hotel marriott and they booked us in carluccios. tony called me the day before to make sure we were still before our booking. at the arrival the manager (a woman) did not know that we were pre-ordered, but her colleague has laid our table and waited for us. all staff were very nice and professional, service was prompt and friendly. the food was traditional Italian fare and well cooked. the drink selection was also very nice and the cocktails went well down. dephran took care of our table and was extremely professional and friendly. we celebrated a birthday and the personal brought a cake and extra cutlery, nothing was too much annoyed and they did it with a smile. the restaurant is spacious and has a beautiful feeling, with seating for groups, families and couples. it is located in the marriott hotel, which is a beautiful bar and lobby area next to the restaurant. there is a fee for parking, but there is a lot of space. if they are well cooked Italian cuisine in west london in a beautiful environment with good service then carluccio is definitely worth visiting. we will definitely visit again. thanks to all the staff."

"Great service but food very disappointing and overpriced. Mini antipasti was very poor. One piece of Parma ham and a slice of salami with pickled vegetables , olives , chutney and a breadstick. Not antipasti in my book! Mini or not. One of our party found the tiramisu the worst she had ever tasted anywhere. Beautiful employees but shocking chef. The tempura fried seafood was terrible and no batter on the king prawns. Nothing seemed fresh and had been reheated. Will not be back. Unfortunate as it is a beautiful restaurant with great staff."

"Recently Carluccios have changed their menu, and we ordered the steak with rosemary potatoes. This use to come with a side of rocket with balsamic dressing and Parmesan shavings. Which was delicious. It now comes as plain rocket on its own which basically tastes of nothing. So we asked for our usual dressing to be told it’s not on the new menu and this is the way it comes now! Please what is a bit of dressing that completely transforms the flavour! Disappointed and probably won’t order the steak again …. The most expensive item on the menu! All because of a minimal touch of putting dressing on something"

"We pre-cooked a table and arrived a little early. However we were welcomed with a smile and were able to enjoy a drink until 12 noon when the main menu kicked in. The foccacia was light and tasty, and our dishes of lamb and calamari were wonderful, with good portion size and excellent presentation. The restaurant was very busy, but staff ensured we were served as promptly as possible. We were only too happy to enjoy the ambience and the lady who served us had a wonderful friendly, yet professional manner. This is our favourite restaurant when visiting this area. We also feel it is good value for money due to the quality of the food. We have no hesitation in recommending Carluccio's in Richmond."

"Booked fairly last minute and got a table for 4. We ordered 2 x chicken burgers, 1 x steak and carbonara with garlic bread. Food was really nice to be fair! No option for peppercorn sauce BUT it’s an Italian so can’t be expected. Dessert we had brownies and fondant, really nice can’t be faulted. Didn’t catch our waitresses name, but she was blonde and pregnant so nice, really kind and welcoming to us. Good value for money, for a drink each; meal each (including steak) two sides and 4 desserts £150. Can’t fault it."

"it is a difficult reataurant for sale. I was disappointed to find that it was in the train station, it was never really warm, we had to reach our own menus, since no one came by, I ordered carbonara and it came like rührei, I expect better from an Italian restaurant, manager offered to reach, but said it would probably come the same. so he had another court he recommended. the new court was amazing, therefore the 3 stars did not give it the 2 I wanted."

"the service and eating were restless. I sat myself and a hospitable, but it took twenty minutes to take our order for everyone. it then arrived another twenty-five minutes before our drinks; it was just two beers, so no complicated order. our meals (no appetizers were ordered) arrived an hour and ten minutes after sitting. my order, a relatiw simple order of chicken milanese was not hot, in which did hardly warm, although my guests meal was delivered hot. the only positive is that the 'side' of focaccia brot was good. in the fact our 'alone tabletime' of ninety minutes would not have been enough to eat our one cure! "Carluccios was my first dining experience out following I was impressed by the measures put in place by the team and how well these were adhered to. I felt completely at ease throughout my meal, staff wore face masks, tables were socially distanced, staff...were visibly washing their hands/using hand sanitiser throughout and the cleanliness of the restaurant was unmatched. It was reassuring to see these protocols in place during these uncertain times. The staff really went above and beyond to deliver the authentic Carluccio’s experience despite the current challenges! My experience was amazing from beginning until end. I was greeted by management at the door and by the wonderful bar team, Gemma and Emma, who made me feel welcomed with their friendly greetings as I shown to my table. I was then greeted by my amazing waitress Sasina, who is an absolute credit to the team! She was so friendly and bubbly, very attentive to our needs and delivered an overall wonderful experience! Our drinks order was taken promptly, we were asked if we had any allergies (very impressive and offered bread and olives to start off with. Once our drinks arrived, our food order was taken quickly without any hassle. Sasina suggested the lasagna for my main with a side of the garlic and rosemary roast potatoes. Her suggestions were superb! Sasina was also very mindful of the fact my guest was a vegetarian, making sure to point out all the vegetarian options (and even went out of her way to get some vegetarian Parmesan cheese Our food came promptly and cannot be faulted. It tasted incredible (big thanks to the amazing chefs We had the garlic focaccia with cheese, tomato bruschetta and calamari to start which was delicious. The calamari is the best I have ever had! And for mains, we had the lasagna and the spinach and ricotta ravioli (which the lovely Sasina was able to change the usual sauce to a tomato one with a side of garlic and rosemary roast potatoes. Our meal was phenomenal and the service was even better! My mother and I will be returning to dine with the amazing team at Carluccios without a doubt! Overall, the restaurant had a lovely, welcoming ambiance. All of the staff were smiley and friendly and all made a point of saying goodbye to us as we left the restaurant. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the mouth-watering new menu! Thank you all for a terrific experience!"

"not many restaurants were open on Christmas. we found this restaurant on open table and it was a pass of richmond. we loved the cozy atmosphere. it was the perfect intimate Christmas dinner. the owner/host was absolutely delightful. the service and the hospitality were excellent. the food was beautifully presented and was delicious. try the homemade focaccia. it was a great value and 100% delightful."
