"Generally, the food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty—always hot and full of aroma. I typically dine here once a month and usually get takeout, but it has always been a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there used to be a whole section offering the mains with jackfruit or vegan meat alternatives, but now there are no other options for vegans apart from the generic vegetable curry, which not many of us enjoy. However, the paneer was excellent for vegetarians. I hope they bring back the previous options as I used to enjoy dining here before they removed them."

"alishan tandoori is one of the best Indian takeaway in the colchester range. everything I order from an Indian restaurant or takeaway is pilau rice and lamb madras and alishan makes the best in colchester. I've never been disappointed by them. their take-away service is fast and reliable. I recommend alishan tandoori in colchester."

"I visited this restaurant regularly until Christmas 2021. this was my first visit this year and the property has changed again! in the front part of the restaurant were three lights turned on, the light was bad, the heating was...ab and there was no music at all. the waiter' had difficultities in the first part of my order for 2 plain and 2 spicy poppadome and a bottle cobra, after several repeated accusations he finally got it right, except to try to give me 2 bottles cobra at the same time. I decided to skip the starter and chicken jalfrezi mushroom rice and okra ordered. the food came, but the waiter treated the plate with bare hands and not covered with a served cloth, while he got the food I used my bag sanitiser to wipe the plate where he put his thumb. the chicken was tasteless and was possibly boiled, in which the whole meal was tasteless. I paid the bill and went around 9.45 clock within about 1 minute of my leave the restaurant closed and the roller shutters were closed. this was a Saturday night and it seemed that I had been their only eating in the customer. I don't think they'll survive much longer. a great scandal that a beautiful restaurant with a hygiene rating of 5 seems to be on the way last year."

"I had a great experience trying the American-inspired dishes at this restaurant. The diner chicken burger, fries, cheeseburger, and salad with a unique dressing that resembles a mix of ranch and are all delicious choices."

"If you close your eyes and guess what your eating, you would not have a clue? Under seasoned, under flavour, under texture. The middle photo shows a vegetable curry and a Bombay potato , looked the same taste the same!!!!! Prawn purée was a total failure on all counts, no flavour no seasoning, no spices! The free popadom was smashed and not a whole one anyway. Chicken biryani was lack lustre, chicken tikka Marsala 4 pieces of chicken, no flavour but loads of heat, onion bajhee just a ball of dough with onions, no flavour!!! We’ve renamed it RED FLAG stay away!!!!!!!!! Only saving grace was the naan and pilau rice but the were stone cold, and we collected!"

"It appears that this Indian takeout restaurant operates under two different names, Tandoori Nights and Tandoori Knights, despite sharing the same address and phone number."

"We were in UK last summer and were visiting Edinburgh. I made a mistake and did not do any research of the area for any Indian Restaurants in case of any exigency. The exigency arrived in a way that, my four year would not want to eat anything but Indian food. Seeing him so edgy and cranky we just dashed into the nearest available place and believe me it was a nightmare. The food was bad and service was worst. The basic courtesy was missing and it seemed that they wanted us to leave as early as possible. The vegetables were ok but Dal Tadka was smelly. The Tandoori Rotis were half burnt and when we asked for replacement what we got was half baked. Somehow we coaxed our little one to have...read more"

"Got some chips with curry sauce just now on my way home from work. The curry sauce is more like a spicy, warming butternut squash soup. On chips it's a bit weird tho, not really what I expected, and they didn't really go well together. I'd totally pay for this as soup with some flatbread on the side, I think it would easily be a hit at a posh café, so do keep it on the menu"

"The restaurant is now under new management and has improved significantly since the last visit. Formerly known as Zimt Tandoori, By Kinder provides delicious food and also offers great deals every day of the week for online orders through their app or website."

"I ordered Indian food using the Just Eat app and I must say, I love a good Indian takeaway. The curry was creamy and delicious, the naan bread was fresh, and the onion bhaji was delightful. I have no complaints about this Indian takeaway - it was delivered before the expected time and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend giving it a try."

"kismet tandoori, which I should explain to the inappropriate, is an adventurer, no restaurant, is my go-to Indian takeaway in cambridge for many, many years (at least and in all the time I can only remember that disappointed meals. One...was where I had asked for extra seasoning in a biryani, and it had not been added (a disorder in the communication between the receiving cook), and once when a dhansak was under par (usual cook on holiday all the other paints my extra spicy biriyanis and my dhansaks (my two favorites) were absolutely delicious. I have lived in a couple of different parts of cambridge, but apart from a short time after the disappointing dhansak when I visited another facility that subsequently closed, I always go out of mine to give kismet my use. I can't comment on re-delivery as I always collect personally. I like that they better recycle their food in foil containers the portion size is generous and eating is always a good temperature."

"Worst curry I have ever had!!!! The veggie Madras was a watery potato stew with a chilli thrown in for good luck and my partner’s chicken masala had no flavour with a lot of water! Even the saag aloo had no taste and way too much spinach; should have used some of the potatoes from the Madras to even it out! Don’t bother wasting your time or money wasn’t cheap and nowhere near value for money! What we didn’t eat (and there was a lot) has been thrown in the bin!!"

"The menu is excellent, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes. We had someone in our group with a gluten intolerance, but that was no issue at all. I mentioned to the waiter that it was a birthday celebration, and they surprised us with a birthday dessert, complete with a candle and a lovely note! The food was delicious, and I would definitely come back again."

"This is my favourite Indian restaurant in London so far. I've eaten in and had take away from here and have enjoyed it every time. My regular order is a chicken korma with extras such as naan bread and onion bhajis. What I like most about this Indian restaurant over others I've tried is the way they make the chicken korma. They're generous with the chicken and the sauce is creamy and the best I've tasted. Eating at the restaurant is a pleasant experience. The staff are attentive and polite and you don't have to wait too long for your food. The music, lighting and atmosphere is relaxing and the tables are located around the the large window looking out onto the street so it feels very open, yet cosy at the same time. Overall, a lovely eating experience."
