"I visited De Rougemont Manor on Wednesday the 28th of February for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my mum and aunts birthday. When the food was presented to us the crisps to me looked as if they had either been broken or it was at the end of the packet some of the sandwiches were dry and also the cakes had dried out from where I believe they had been cut too early. As a party of five adults and two children we had to keep asking for refills (cheese, jam etc) as we wasn't asked if we needed anything else, we was never asked once if we needed our tea or coffee replenished. I appreciate it may of been short staffed that day due to the weather (it was snowing on and off) as there only seemed to be one member of staff working in the bar/restaurant. I feel really disappointed that the day was ruined by this as it was meant to be a nice get together for joint birthday celebrations. Also I have contacted the hotel and have not had any response back from them which again is awful customer service. All in all I will not be returning unless things are thoroughly improved and what should of been a lovely day celebrating was not."

"The meal was excellent and the staff were outstanding. My only issue is that Miller and Carter is supposed to be a special place for a night out with a dress code, but more than half of the people there didn't follow it. It was disappointing that none of the staff addressed this. The carpark was well lit and the service was good."

"thema is not just what this is about. it has a pharmacy theme. it prompts any amount of discussion, since damien brain has clearly either adapted everything or come with it from scratch-apete, chairs, embroidered cabin seats prescription bar, surgical instruments. in the rule, places like these depend on the themes to go through. this place has an unusual selection of groundless **** marys and bellinis. interestingly, there is also a section on the menu dedicated to Girolles-based oriented. some unusual egg dishes for brunch also offer the run of the mill canard and less run the mill legbar. super delicious everywhere. not bad for what it is. Go."

"The new style Sunday lunch, which was NOT made clear through advertising or point of booking is a big let down from previous menu. Small starter choice, plated lunch with reheated shrivelled vegetables and served Luke warm. NO dessert included just brunch items like muffins to select. At £15.95 a person this is very overpriced especially as a Marstons restaurant adjacent offes far better value for money. After making a complaint to customer services, I am really disappointed by the return email response. We chose St Davids as a special occasion birthday meal choice and can honestly say I would not recommend to others."

"Was in here for lunch the other day and was always putting it off because the thought of sourdough for a pizza base just sounded quiet odd for a pizza As it turns out, that was something I shouldn't have been so afraid of. Their pizza base with their tart sauce just works so well. Their ingredients are fresh and top notch. They offer two pizzas a day, a meat one and a vegetarian one, of course you can customise them too Their pizza is maybe closer to a 4/5 but their odd service is what dings them. Similar to their cafe Peter's Yard, it's just an odd experience. At Soderberg, they take you to your table, then after you decide which of the two pizza's you want, you head up to the till...read more"

"Antalya was close to our London hotel in Russell Square so we decided to try it: it was a wonderful meal in a very pretty place with excellent food and friendly service. The full dinner provides an excellent selection of hot and cold starters. Everything was very fresh and the portions were large. The baklava, served warm, was the best we’ve ever had. If you’re in London you must eat at Antalya!"

"What a hidden gem! This place is bursting with exceptional customer service, really capturing the essence of Aylesbury. Now for the food… I was feeling a hearty meal and boy let me tell you it was hearty indeed. Starting with the toast, not a fan of the pre-buttered element as the toast was a bit soggy. However it paired well with in the other components. The egg was cooked to my preference, well-done, the sausages were plentiful, and the sprinkle of baked beans was perfect. Improvements could be made with the mushrooms as they were too chewy and over cooked. Furthermore, the bacon (halal) was a little on the crispy side but the smoke element was *chef’s kiss*. Moving on to the hash browns, an extra few minutes in the oven would have been fantastic for the crispy topping. To top it all off the spicy sauce complimented this dish well. Overall a solid 8.7 out of 10. I will be visiting in the near future."
"I treated my mother to a birthday brunch at Two Sisters restaurant last Sunday. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given information about the brunch options, including the buffet and special brunch dishes. They even accommodated our request for turkey bacon instead of pork. I believe this is a perfect spot for a leisurely brunch, especially for a mother-daughter outing. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and top-notch service. We originally used a Groupon for our visit, but we plan on returning even without it. The experience was definitely worth it."

"eating and service was amazing. word of warning: starving! we were a party of two pieces away on the back of the restaurant. loved the anti pasti; the salmon and sardine was the highlight. scallops were deliciously perfectly cooked and sauce was amazing. blood orange sorbet was brownish and refreshing. we had x2 steaks standing in. before dessert was delicious and then the last dessert. beautiful wine to accompany. can't blame that everything can't wait to go back!"

"We visited Alps kitchen twice last week, whilst we were in London and I was receiving treatment at the Royal Free hospital. Alp was so friendly and very welcoming. Our meal was perfect, simple but delicious, grilled chicken with a fabulous salad and the most amazing fries ! Some lovely warm bread and butter with olives also accompanied our white wine which made it a most marvellous meal.We enjoyed it so much we returned with two friends at the end of our week and they were both equally impressed. We wish Alp and his attentive staff well during these most difficult of times and hope very much to dine in his restaurant again when we are back in London next January!"

"Although booked 2 weeks in advance and arrived 15 minutes early my table request was ignored. There were tables free but reserved for other customers,! We were given an inappropriate table especially as one of our guests was disabled with a walker. There were other tables reserved waiting for other patrons! I protested and eventually were seated at a more appropriate table. As expected, it was very busy. I’m not sure how your system works to my advantage and would such advice."

"Despite getting slightly confused by the layout of West Smithfield (as usual) I had a really lovely evening in Cellar Gascon a few nights ago, and must recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a sophisticated tipple and Michelin quality snacks. Cellar Gascon is the wine-bar little-brother of Club Gascon, Pascal Aussingnac’s Michelin-starred SW-French restaurant next door. They have their fingers in various pies, having recently launched pop-up Duck’n’Roll (a fabulous addition to Street Feast) and also running Comptoir Gascon, Cigalon and Baranis. The wine bar was relaxed, with couples, some suits and a few small groups making it chilled but busy enough on a Thursday evening. We got cracking with the wine of the week, a delicious Languedoc Cepage Rolle 13, for £27 a bottle. They change them every week and put real effort into sourcing a stellar list, and many are exclusive to the venue. This one was soft and fruity, not too heavy and inherently drinkable. Food followed, and is a menu of small plates to compliment the wines. I loved our gorgeous board of cured meats, a cheeseboard arranged in the order in which you should eat them, and a little bonus at the end of duck pastrami with black garlic aioli. The pastrami was rich and salty, and the aioli packed a punch but without any harshness – I could’ve eaten both all day. Despite the quality food is reasonable, and they do an express lunch for £6, add £3 for starter, dessert or cheese and £2 for wine. I wish I worked closer."
