"We visited the Comedor on a whim to try have something a bit different. We had eaten at some steakhouses in London and as an Australian are quite spoilt for good cuts of beef which had become apparent throughout the week. This was the first place I was completely overwhelmed with the quality of meat and the spectacular cooking. The service was a bit slow to start but as there were only 2 waitresses available we gave them some leniency on that. The staff were friendly and respect the meat when one of our companions ordered a particular cut of meat to be done well done' she told him that will become very tough and suggested a cheaper cut which would benefit more from his preferred cooking...read more"

"Was very excited for a meal out here as we'd seen lots of great pictures however we were a bit disappointed with our experience. The service was very slow, the interior felt empty and didn't live up to what we saw online and the seemingly compulsory service charge left a bad taste in our mouths after this below average experience especially for the price in a student area. Fortunately the food was good however this was after having to re-choose with the kitchen having ran out of steaks. One weird moment was discovering the olives weren't kept at the bar but in the kitchen so it wasn't possible to have olives at the same time as our drinks. I'm sure most of the issues will be fixed over time considering how new this restaurant is, but it will be some time before we're willing to try it again."

"Steak as requested for my child's birthday lunch, asked for medium ribeye and filet, came out well done however, we were hungry so didn't debate over it. Chips were not homemade, they're frozen. We decided against desserts judging by the quality of food, and shocking prices of desserts. We visited close to lunch break closing time and waitresses disappeared, had to go hunting for someone to settle our bill, could have walked out but we are honest people. Any other customer wouldn't have been so polite about the overall service and dry steak. The toilets needs a good clean too."

"I was in London to attend a conference and was looking for a good steak restaurant after the event close out. I was pleasently surprised to find this charming Argentinian restaurant with excellent reviews. I walked there from the station with my rain coat. The ambiance was nice and the food was great, but unfortunately I had a very unpleasent experience which I will proceed to illustrate. There were many white Europeans inside and a lady who looked Asian. I am from Angola, but look a little Arabic due to my lighter complexion. People payed normally and left. When it was my turn to pay, I too asked for the bill from the younger waiter and paid. Apparently, the older (supposedly Argentinian) waiter did not see me pay and when I left the restaurant she went after me outside inquiring if I had paid. I then showed her the card receipt as evidence. This event was quite saddening to me. There were some German tourists outside who witnessed the occurrence as they were leaving as well. Whether I can blame this on a bias I really don't know, but what I can share is that this really changed the whole mood of my trip which had been quite pleasent up to that point. Appart from that, everything was great. The restaurant is really nice, the other waiter who happened to be from Romania was really friendly, and the food was excellent. Maybe I was just unlucky."

"“First time here and all I can say it’s that the rib eye steak lives now on my memories” that’s the words of my boyfriend. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday for the first time because a friend of mine recommended me to go there, she said it was the best Argentinian restaurant that she had been in London and she was not lying. I ordered beef with some mushrooms sauce and potatoes ! It was delicious! . My boyfriend literally asked to the waiter “ I want a massive delicious piece of meat “ and he recommended him the Rib Eye Steak. The point of the meat was just what he wanted, salt, juiciness… he said he loved it. Thank you guys for your service!"

"Fine food and Issues Decided to visit as the reviews were mainly great. Arrived to find it looked ten minutes after due to be open. They were just opening the door. I went in and quickly used the toilet, not flushed by last person that used it! It's a well laid out, well decorated restaurant. I chose the Escargots as my starter, well cooked with a very small amount of sauce sadly no tongs to hold the shell. They were 6 very nice molluscs. The main was an absolutely sensational tasty seafood salad. Interesting dressing on a generous variety of sea food and nice salad. I had ordered a lime and soda, it transpired they had no lime so someone went out to buy some and could only get lemon, which was ok. When it came to the desert I liked the idea of four of them but ordered the lemon tart. A few minutes later the lady running front of house (I later discovered it was her first day in post!! Returned hugely apologetic telling me sadly they had no lemon tart. I chose the cherry clafouti and a few minutes later the young lady came back devastated to tell me they had none of that either! I eventually had a brownie, which she didn't charge me for. Must confess it didn't excite and the supplied ice cream was quite crystallised as if it had been refrozen. The table next to me were told they had no more Escargot, so clearly they opened with only one portion available. Front of house was good, 2/3 of the food I had was great but clearly someone needs to sort out the kitchen too many problems to give customers confidence of availability. Was it worth the trip? Oh yes but they have some serious organisational issues to resolve."

"Have stopped in here a couple of times due to have great vegan cake. We had lunch here for the first time ordered the clearly labelled vegan coronation chickpea sandwich. Unfortunately when I dug into the sandwich it had a honey mustard dressing on, which clearly, isn 't vegan. We were also unsure on the pile of crisps on the plate, but assumed they had milk in like most crisps. We were a bit disappointed that somewhere that claims to be knowledgeable enough to have these great options for vegans, doesn 't actually understand Veganism didn 't give us the vegan food we ordered. Shame as the sandwich was incredible! Also we were charged £3.25 for a can of coke that litrally have '50p ' on the side. You usually get charged that for a pint or coke in a restaurant. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Vegan Chocolate Cake"

"We were in Yeovil for a family wedding and stayed two nights at the Mildmay Arms The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and helpful. The manager was on hand at our chosen breakfast time to make teas, coffee and toast. The Rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable. The food we ordered off the menu was really delicious and we sat outside in the seating area in the sun which was lovely. All in all it was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay again or recommend."

"We had a great meal here sat in the beer garden at the front of the pub. We let the guy behind the bar know we were sat outside, menus brought out quickly, and order taken by very friendly young man. Both had the steak and ale pie, one with chips, one with mash. Plenty of fresh veg served in a separate bowl. Was the nicest steak pie we have ever had, and we have tried several in Yorkshire! Ordered a crumble and custard to share and that too was delicious. Another young member of staff kindly asked if my mum wanted a blanket as the breeze was making it feel a bit chilly. Lovely food, and the staff made us very welcome, especially the young man and lady waiting on. We were staying in nearby Easingwold and was definitely worth driving to the Blacksmiths Arms for lovely food and excellent service."

"A group of eight of us made a reservation for 6:30 at this restaurant with lovely surroundings. The meals were served hot, but unfortunately, the three orders of hunter's chicken were absolutely terrible. When a waitress asked us about our meal, we explained how awful it was and she promised to send a manager to speak with us. However, after waiting for over 45 minutes, no one came to address our concerns. The meals were dry and rubbery, with barely cooked bacon. As tourists in Tintagel, it seems clear that the pub doesn't expect us to return. We advise against visiting this restaurant as the meals were tasteless, except for the soup of the day which our niece and nephew enjoyed and said was amazing."

"Couldn't fault it. Lovely hosts. Dog friendly everywhere which is a bonus for dog lovers like us! Fab evening food. Fab breakfast. Complimentary toiletries were really nice. Our bathroom was quite large which always feels luxurious. Been a long time since I've stayed somewhere with a pillow protector, very impressed! Comfortable bed. Would have happily stayed much longer than one night. Rooms: 5"

"Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5, as my experiences have been quite good about 90% of the time. However, I've had several instances where items were forgotten, particularly extra toppings for breakfast or drinks. The menu offers a wide variety of food and drink options, and I have to say, the lattes and baguettes are fantastic. The prices are reasonable, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. One issue worth noting is that the Just Eat app is not always accurate, as some items, like sandwiches, don’t come with the crisps as indicated. This is something they should address to ensure customer satisfaction."

"After a previous good experience we decided to visit again. OMG what an awful experience. We were sat down straight away as they were quiet. Service was shocking, but we made allowances as the young girl seemed to be new. We waited about 40 minutes for our starter, it was basic at best. When the main course came, the chips were soggy and border line raw. My Corn was cold and peas like bullets. No onion rings as stated on the menu. We were asked how it was and gave out honest feedback. At this point I was told I wouldn’t get a refund as I had eaten the meat from the Ribs !! I hadn’t even asked for a discount even thought the food was disgusting. I have never been spoken to like this in a restaurant, it was beyond belief. Needless to say we will not return !!"

"This friendly pub is a hidden gem that we stumbled upon while walking along the canal. The Golden Lion is a traditional old pub with a friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. The landlady was extremely helpful and even provided us with horseradish and Yorkshire puddings for our roast dinner on the boat. We were pleasantly surprised when an old man in the bar started singing and playing guitar, entertaining us with a mix of new and old music. The locals were also welcoming, offering us a seat at their table in the evening. Overall, a fantastic 5-star experience that should not be missed."

"We absolutely love this place! It has a friendly atmosphere and feels like a great local pub. We recently celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday here, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The catering was amazing—plentiful and of excellent quality. It was a fantastic night!"

"We have eaten at this restaurant every time we travel through Brewood. The service has always been excellent and the food was up there with there very best. On our recent visit we found the service to be perfect however the meal lacked flavour and was not up to the standard that we have come to expect. The prices have rocketed and is by some margin the most expensive I have ever paid for an Indian meal. I doubt I shall be eating there again; it is just too expensive."

"Thursday 30 jan22 was our fourth visit since the takeover of the new owner and his always good beer and eat etc. but unfortunately there has gone a bit quite wrong now. we were a party of 3 this time, but 4-6 at earlier locations. three. steaks, two were in order, the third was the half of the size and not the same cut. I should have sent it back, but the others in the party had a good time so I had it slipped, which was a mistake. then moved back into the desert two were good, the third (mine) was a pure ice cream, but I soon discovered to my frightening a sharp clump of plastic (probably broken from the storage container lid) in my mouth the size of a £ 1 coin! I hate to think what might be happy. this was the last stray, until the counter (plastic and ice in the hand) and told the waitress, where I was offered a replacement or ice from the bill. no apology by management. No, I'm sorry. I just couldn't believe what I heard. because I suspected that the duty would come to a number of people and later talked about it. Oh and yes, it gets worse. we ordered a few take-beers and it came from another and I thought a few words of apology or a discount maybe, na zilch. we paid left and with no tip. it is only the quality of the beer that stops this total value lees. our group visits rendham several times a year, but we will not go there again! the personal needs a certain training to deal with such problems, although it should not be before. tony reading"
