"I made a quick visit to Mancunia and Media City to catch up with friends, and my wife chose this café as a convenient spot for us to meet, eat, and drink. The food was excellent, with two Full English breakfasts, a bacon and avocado toast, a bacon bagel, and eggs Benedict. The coffee was good—while not exceptional, it was well-brewed. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were really friendly and helpful. We also picked up a couple of bags of coffee beans to try at home; I haven't tried them yet, but I'm looking forward to it!"

"Not from Tamworth and stopped here for a lunch whilst driving to a short stay rental for Christmas. Had pretty high hopes due to pictures on their social media, and was excited to see so many free tables as walk ins the day before Christmas Eve. However, was really disappointed by both the customer service and the general conduct of the staff the person who served us on the till didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing, food took a long time to arrive and everything arrived at different times despite having ordered altogether, no one checked we any cutlery (we didn’t) or were happy with everything (we received the wrong drinks). We didn’t see anyone clearing any tables and felt mostly abandoned, only spoken to when our order was finally brought over. The pizza was very nice and generously topped with cheese which earned the two stars, but was generally unimpressed with my experience."

"We chose to stay at Peak Weavers while visiting Alton Towers, and it was the perfect location being just a short drive to the park. The hotel is situated in a peaceful area in Leek, only a quick walk to the main shopping street. The hosts were delightful and provided us with great recommendations for nearby activities. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering a variety of options including continental choices or a full English breakfast with salmon and scrambled eggs. Our room was comfortable and spacious."

"We are staying at robin hood's bay. The tea toast and post cafe was recommended to us. We have visited the cafe twice now. Food is outstanding, service from the staff was warm and natural and the atmosphere was electric. Very quirky little cafe that will fill ya boots with great food. Really is worth a visit. "We enjoyed a Cream Tea outside on the terrace. I chose the fruit scone which came with fresh clotted cream and jam, and it was absolutely perfect. Probably the best scone that I enjoyed on our 2 week trip (and we had one nearly every day! . It's worth seeking this place out, which is just off High Street off a small alley sandwiched between two store fronts. You won't regret it! "Oh dear. Having passed this place many times we decided we might give it a go. It was sunny and so we sat outside. There is very little space between the café’s curtilage and the pavement, enough room to get in four or five picnic type tables, a couple of which had umbrellas. Otherwise, the area is untroubled by any kind of decoration. The form is that you go inside and order and that they bring your order out to you. Inside I was greeted – or more accurately not greeted by an unsmiling lady whose mood may have been occasioned by the inconvenience of having to break off from her conversation to take an order. Or maybe it was caused by the prospect of doing something about the very visible large pile of used plates and crockery waiting for someone to wash them up. Our coffee arrived fairly promptly accompanied by a rather dismal apricot Danish, which may have been seeing daylight for the third or fourth time that week. The coffee was passable, but in a resort town like Bude the bar is set fairly high and passable doesn’t really do it. I don’t know if the place is run by its owners, but in the unlikely event that they are reading this, here are some tips. Put a bit of thought into making the outside more appealing. If you can afford it, put a palm tree in one of the corners or at very least get some greenery. And while you’re about it, junk those picnic tables. Many of the elderly and the disabled can’t use them and anyway you’re not a country pub. And whether the place is run by you or your staff – smile at the customers. They’ve got what you’re after – money. The catch is they’ve got choice too."

"I ordered an extra hot cappuccino but it arrived lukewarm at best. The food came after and was served without napkin and cutlery, which I had to request. I asked for my coffee to be made extra hot but instead of remaking it or adding hot milk, I saw hot water being poured from a machine at my table. When I pay for a cappuccino, I expect it to be made with milk rather than being topped up with hot water to increase the temperature. The service was quick and easy but disappointing to a paying customer."

"Delicious! This cafe we happened to visit as we were passing by, and needed breakfast/brunch. The people working there are so friendly. Coffee is great, I had an oat milk flat white. Breakfasts were really good. It was busy, the lady serving us explained straight away that there would be a little wait on food. We were happy to wait and it did arrive when she said great customer service. We would happily visit again if in the area. Highly recommended! "Brilliant and friendly atmosphere. Our 4yr old that can’t be a bit of handful sometimes, was more than welcome and felt she could be a bit like herself. We had baguette and panni, with chicken and chips for the little one. All were very generous portions and very well priced. Good selection to drink and food was outstanding. Loved the you decide and make your own baguette/pan in/sandwich ect rather than the usual this or that."

"Stayed at the Gilvenbank this weekend as we were attending a wedding at Balbarnie House. The hotel is lovely but the rooms were very basic. The pillows were paper thin, the curtains were so thin the light shone through and the bathroom was dangerous. I stood in the bath to have a shower and within seconds was on the floor of it as the non slip stuff on the bottom of the bath was non existent and clearly hadnt been cleaned properly. I ended up attending the wedding with a huge bruise on my arm and limping as I 've got a huge black bruise on my bottom and leg. I spoke to reception and I 've emailed the hotel manager and not heard a thing back. Reception said they couldn 't do anything as we paid before we arrived and the manager wasn 't in at the time. Our other friends rooms had marks on the walls, tvs that were smaller than your phones and didn 't work and beds that they had to push together themselves and the rooms were so dark they had to have their lights on all the time. On the Saturday night the reception staff told us there was a party that would be finishing at 11. This party was still going at midnight with guests standing outside shouting until 12.45 am. The patio doors in our room didn 't shut properly so we could hear everything. It was like they were in our room and the music thunder through the floors of the room to the point we could sing along. When we rang down to complain were just told it 'll wrap up soon . The bar staff were lovely, the food was nice, the location was perfect for our visit and the staff did get us more pillows and an iron when we asked for them. Just found it disappointing that I reported I 'd been hurt in their hotel and it was shrugged off and that we couldn 't sleep because of the party that finished nearly 2 hours after they told us Would stay there again if ever in the area as it was clean and these things could be easily resolved."

"The location and beer garden view at this place are absolutely dreamy. The staff, especially Tom, were professional and welcoming during lunch and dinner. The quiz night was a fun experience as well. However, my stay was unfortunately ruined by the disappointing breakfast provision. The room I booked last minute was clean and well-equipped with a lovely view of the garden and river, creating a peaceful atmosphere. But the breakfast included in the 120 pound room rate was a disaster. The provided supermarket packaged waffles and bakewell cake could not pass for a continental breakfast. Toast, cereal, and cold coffee were also subpar. It's a shame that such a great stay was marred by the breakfast experience. If the restaurant wants their letting rooms to succeed, they need to improve their breakfast offerings. Overall, a disappointing end to an otherwise 5-star review."

"I took yesterday the most beautiful marinated chicken bag from the Deli counter home. a short explosion in the many and it made for a delicious (and quite big lunch! although they could serve it with some salat or chips and they would have a meal for 2! in the inner was a very generous part of the extremely slender chicken breast, and many delicious veg also! only divine, I would definitely recommend a try! the personal was pleasant and the service was fast as usual! 5 stars round! x"

"Based on the Google ratings we chose this cafe today and we can confirm all the other 5 star ratings. It 's a beautiful little family business. We immediately felt like we were at home with mum (in this restaurant probably also like at home with dad, because he is the cook, if I remember correctly). We were served quickly and friendly. The food was delicious and you could tell it was freshly made. It 's really worth the wait, which was perfectly fine (less wait usually means worse quality). There are also vegetarian and vegan dishes marked with v and vg (I think more v could be added here). There were a lot of guests that day. As soon as one left, the next came in. So a very very popular cafe. Despite this, the owner took the time to talk to us and also to answer questions. I really like the style of the 1940s. And it is nice that it is consistent in decoration, music and menu. I like the pun Four Teas . Finally, I would like to mention that we really liked that our table was cleared and cleaned first and then we were shown to the table. This was very friendly discussed with us beforehand. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian/vegan dishes marked with v/vg. Other side dishes to supplement, also vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Detailed information on allergens is on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Children 's chair available. A family with four children, we with two adult children and a mother with one child were there and were served very friendly."

"Charming café with absolutely delightful cakes! I've been a regular for years, but I'm disappointed with the disorganized queue system. I understand it’s a small space with limited staff, making it difficult to keep track of things. However, I saw several people who paid and left after sitting in, while no one came outside to let us in. This led to some customers who wanted to dine in leaving because the wait was too long, thinking we had been overlooked. After waiting an additional 10 minutes in the rain with no staff in sight (while customers were leaving), a waitress informed us that we needed to stand outside again. Yet, there’s a sign in the doorway that says to wait there for seating! It was quite confusing!"
