"We live locally and have been visiting Konnigans for years and never been disappointed. My husband and I used to come here when we were dating for cocktails and wine on our way home from work. Now we bring our baby when we can and they couldn’t be more accommodating. I think Konnigans is one of those rare venues that can really do it all it’s great for Drinks, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and the menu is so varied it always feels easy. We love the Staff, Menu Choice, Ambience They usually play good music and cool decor. See you again soon!"

"We were on our way to another venue for breakfast and saw this was open and offering breakfast with outside seating in the sunshine. It was absolutely fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were super friendly and attentive and the bill was reasonable. Will definitely be back."

"Booked table for 1pm, pre ordered and specified we only had 1 hour lunch break, hence pre ordereing .. food came at 1:35 which is ridiculous considering we pre ordered. We then had an extremely rude lady member of staff, when we told her we had pre ordered a salad without dressing she gave no apology and said we hadn’t, twice. To which I showed her the email sent. Food was bad quality , over priced. Steak tasted frozen, no flavour and definitely not rare as asked. Wouldn’t recommend."

"I checked the menu before booking and was satisfied with the selection. When we arrived, we were told that it was a buffet only on the day of the event. this had not been communicated before our arrival. the food was ok’ish. the veg was frozen and it was still very little left, the starters were very exhausted. they did not seem to maintain the option. the veg I had was tepid. service (drinks) was ridiculously slow. it cost a head and was unfortunately not what we expected. certainly would not recommend and will not return"

"Could not book any other time apart from 5pm as was booked up. May as well not have bothered booking a table as when we arrived, said we had a table booked and was told just sit anywhere you like . No names taken, we could have just walked in. What 's the point in having a booking service. Was not full either, so could have had the later time I originally wanted! Bar service very poor, seemed like they could not be bothered and didn 't really want you there! No real atmosphere, or welcoming feeling from the woman behind the bar! Very rowdy 'regular ' crowd. Has a very bad reputation, was told it had gone down hill, am sorry to say that it is true and is only getting worse! What a shame as used to be a lovely pub."

"Really nice hidden gem of a venue, gorgeous ornate decor. Have walked past so many times not realising it was there. Food prices reasonable for area, drinks prices a little expensive however. But realised it was actually part of the andaz hotel not an actual pub independently. Comfortable seating, friendly service and they gave us menus instead of asking us to download/ sign up to various qr codes via mobile phones- massive brownie points. Food was very tasty and presented beautifully. Would definitely come here again. Thanks guys."

"during the time of the covid so service was a bit strange, although still charming and effective. but young, oh young was eating well. all my friends and I (5 in total) finished another plate, and the star of it was all the steak pee. by far and above the absolute best steak pie I had ever had so far in the whole of England during my 2 years stay. Five stars only. the location itself is also very charming and welcoming, beautiful even. perfect in the late afternoon and evening."

"Pros: The staff was beautiful, and also attentive, the food was fantastic (cooked by the owner and very fresh (best fish cake I had in a long time, and the place has a great sea view (we had a beautiful window table). Cons: Tiny, tiny niggers, we both had French beans with our meal, and although delicious, it would have been nice to know that they were boiled in garlic butter (on the menu). We couldn't breathe after the meal, the next place we went to:"

"Booked Sunday carvery for son and daughter in laws birthdays. Seated beside a table of 20 very loud and we couldn't hear what each other was saying at times. The starters were ok but the main carvery very disappointing food was luke warm and not much flavour. Service was good but disappointed on the whole. Wouldn't rush back in a hurry."

"Fantastic and we would definitely go again. Food was good.... Service was great! Couple of areas just for feedback. Gravy could have done with being a bit thicker (our personal taste) and probably in a gravy boat, rather than already over the roast. Any it did get rather noisy when all the tables were full. I believe there were quieter areas, so would request that area on our return. Other than that. Fantastic..... My family who had not been before were very impressed. (thankyou)!"

"We were in JAM in Sir Thomas Street, Liverpool now twice had promptly, friendly service in clean, bright environment. The coffee specialities are very welcome. 5 of 6 of us were vegetarian, we had a fairly limited choice, so one of us was disappointed that they would run out of Veggi Burger! She chose salad that was ok, but not ideal, chips that quickly disappeared! The Mushroom Risotto was really good. Two salmon table cakes as starter at about £5.50) seemed positively generous when compared to a very small goat cheese tartlet a handful of rocket salad as main £12 50) I wonder if the cook feeds for a day full of work?! Good work there was a pot of new potatoes. Only 1 x dessert ordered a veritable plate of bread butter pudding, on a rubbery black substance on top no evidence for even 1 stream or Sultana, neither the white chocolate on the menu promised. I don't eat Custard would like to have given some options. 2 x v. cold, hard strawberries did not do well. A mixed review, therefore we like your establishment some of the foods that requires some beautiful tweaking. The service was great, both from the kitchen at the table. We will take into account hope that our feedback that helps others make the necessary difference. P.S. I have submitted an application to your main office for parking information; it has never happened before, although I said that the one forum review mentioned some good parking nearby, but just don't say where!"

"I don't typically write reviews, but I have to say this place is fantastic! The portion sizes are enormous, and the haddock was incredibly fresh—definitely enough to easily serve two people! The owner, Lynton, is always friendly and welcoming. The prices are great, so what's not to love? If you're still unsure, just stop by and give them a try; I promise you won't be disappointed! Well done, Lynton and the team—what a wonderful establishment! Food: 5"

"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with great, friendly service. The staff even brought a dog bed and water dish to our table, which we and our pooch appreciated. The menu had a lot of variety and the food was delicious (the loaded pommes were a must-try). The prices were reasonable and it was evident that the restaurant tries to cater to everyone. The restaurant is run by a husband-wife duo, with the husband as the chef and the wife managing the front of the house. They do a fantastic job. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in the Cirencester area. Thank you!"

"Unfortunately we waited very long for our food, which more pampered the experience. at 2.00 we were all quite hungry and we waited for our frying for three quarters of an hour eating at 2.45 that was also not where close to full this time. but when the food finally arrived, it was delicious."

"We decided to celebrate my Dad's 50th birthday party at The Annex and it was absolutely wonderful! We chose this venue because of its flexibility in terms of weather. Despite reserving an outdoor space in hopes of good weather, it ended up raining in typical British fashion. However, this did not pose a problem as the staff had set up large umbrellas and heaters, allowing us to still enjoy the outdoor space. Abi was incredibly helpful leading up to the event, answering all of our questions promptly. On the day of the party, the staff assisted us in setting up decorations and provided excellent service from beginning to end. They even packed up all the decorations and wrapped up the cake at the end of the night. The pizzas were delicious and well-received by our guests, and Abi accommodated our requests to customize certain items on the menu. I highly recommend The Annex as a venue for any party or event!"

"Not sure what to say we were excited to come and had emails about food requirements, but the email was missed and we were held responsible for it I think the staff was overly stressed and therefore slightly upset. Because the reaction we got when we asked what could be done about no vege option was really like an aggressive shutdown strange at the end they had a vegetable option, although at the beginning a whole lot of incredible bad service, if it was easily avoided with service backgrounds themselves, we were all just a little speechless. The food was wonderful when it finally arrived two hours after we had set ourselves first and we laughed about our erroneous towers experience."

"the restaurant of the pilgerhotel is its typical, friendly, neutral, on-the-posh side restaurant. so I was surprised to find a clearly displayed vegan option on their menu "pilgrim’s pie a light, beautiful veggie dish. Beyond that, the staff had arrived unbelievably, even to give me advice on what kind of beer and apple wine were suitable for vegans (without asking me at all)! I did not get the impression that they are used to get a lot of vegan customers, but they were really considerate. I would definitely recommend this place to go with people who eat everything (read: I went here with my mother)"
