"Treated my mother in law to a birthday meal here and she absolutely adored it as she loves French food. I’m vegan and the two vegan options unexpectedly blew me away, they were gorgeous. The champagne and wine were amazing the sommelier was extremely helpful and continuously kind and friendly. The service was outstanding, they were very helpful at all times. Waiters, sommeliers, hosts, and chefs of course. We are excited to return soon. Thank you for a lovely evening."

My sister who joined me as my guest had a broken foot and the manager and staff were most accommodating in finding a box to stand it on so it was raised. The Dover sole is always very good but as a beer drinker could they stock Birra Moretti as well as Peroni as the former is much nicer and it's what the Italians drink!"

"The best dinner and dining experience we’ve had in the UK since we arrived 15 months ago. Just wished we had gone here sooner as we move back to the US in a couple months . So many people recommended it and we finally had the opportunity to fit it in. Chef Bruce, his staff and the restaurant itself were all amazing. We were so impressed with Bruce’s presence and his hospitality. We felt so welcomed, and we felt he and his entire staff cared about our experience. And now to the food. Just fabulous. I’m mostly vegetarian and their aubergine dish was mouth watering! My husband had the Chateaubriand and loved it. Thank you to the entire staff at the restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant"

"large eating and service, as one would expect from coq d 'argent. a little disturbing was that the opentable booking through it as an outdoor / all fresco booking (31 dez,! which was not mentioned everywhere in the opentable booking information. the second time has happened to us now when we book with opentable in various restaurants and start thinking that this is a malus 'worn' from restaurants for not to book directly about them?! leaving was a little time-consuming as it took a good 5 minutes to return the weights."

"We had a fabulous evening meal at Corse Lawn restaurant. The actual room could do with a bit of a make over. Most of the pairings were crooked and there were cobwebs on the wall light shades but it sort of added to the quirkiness of it. Can’t fault the food it was really excellent. The wine list was quite extensive but not so that you couldn’t get through it. Can highly recommend. The hotel is owned by the Hine (cognac) family which is why the wine list is excellent. The bar has plenty of choice and we sat in the lounge area for our coffee and petit fours (homemade)."

"After our original booking was canceled due to the start of Covid, we decided to dine in Centurion instead. It turned out to be a perfect Sunday at a fantastic location with just the right amount of ambiance - not too quiet. The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. "Having taken the River boat to Docklands and visited both the National Gallery and the NPG, we were ready for tea. I was keen to take daughter and her friend visiting from Boston to a special place and I remembered how great the view is...over the National's rooftops and how the light fading as London lights up gives this restaurant an extra dimension. The young ladies were so fascinated to have a better view of Nelson across the skyline. Delicious delicate sandwiches and tiny macaroons and delicacies all served on one of those three-tier plates. My sister and I had one in our dollhouse but never actually to use at home so remains a special treat!"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"A gift for my 60th birthday. Was so excited as I thought it was in the big west end store, but no, it was in an old bank building, soulless in the city. Emails said to upload photo so they can greet you personally on arrival. Did as instructed but had to hover and wave the maitre’d on arrival. Wasn’t overly busy and a nice young lady seated us. All tables are small (for2only) and in a bright central space, surrounded by jewellery shops, and of course Fortnum &Mason tea and gift shop. It wasn’t cozy and welcoming, more like sitting in an airport departure lounge. 2 afternoon tea towers delivered, with tea,coffee and champagne. The table isn’t large enough for 2 towers, 2 cups, teapot, champagne and water glasses. It’s awkward. AND THE TABLE WOBBLED. Hubby had to keep his foot firmly on the base of central pedestal to reduce the wobble. What should’ve been relaxed, cozy, maybe even romantic was more like a supermarket cafe experience. So disappointing. Maybe go to the Swan in Southwold, they know how to do afternoon tea, they offer a huge offering of savory, Inc. mini fish and chips, then an enormous cake/dessert selection Fortnums afternoon tea £48p/p Swan Southwold afternoon tea £42 Inc champagne. I know where I will go next time. It won’t be F&M"
