"Allowed to book onto the set menu for 7:30, arrived and told the set menu isn’t available after 7. Spoke with the manager who was rude, unable to deal with accordingly and actually had no experience in handling with issues. One person missed off for drinks and another wrong item arrived on the table when the food did arrive. Lovely food but well over priced and no service to match"

"Great choice for a date night or birthday treat! Convenient location, set menus as well as a la carte, friendly attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere, what more could you want! I took my partner here for a brunch treat and had planned it completely forgetting that it was Mother's day weekend (oops). This meant that brunch was set menu only, but this wasn't a problem as the set menu was quite extensive and had all the dishes we wanted anyway! The only difference was that the prices had been marked up by about 8 pounds per person. Despite this, I still feel it was a good deal for three very well executed courses that tasted as good as they looked. I had the goats cheese and black olive tart, the black truffle risotto and the green apple parfait. Each one was delicious and the green apple parfait is coated in green coloured white chocolate and designed to actually look like an apple on a plate. Amazing! I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!"

"Thank you Lutyens for another excellent lunch. My sister who joined me as my guest had a broken foot and the manager and staff were most accommodating in finding a box to stand it on so it was raised. The Dover sole is always very good but as a beer drinker could they stock Birra Moretti as well as Peroni as the former is much nicer and it's what the Italians drink!"

"large eating and service, as one would expect from coq d 'argent. a little disturbing was that the opentable booking through it as an outdoor / all fresco booking (31 dez,! which was not mentioned everywhere in the opentable booking information. the second time has happened to us now when we book with opentable in various restaurants and start thinking that this is a malus 'worn' from restaurants for not to book directly about them?! leaving was a little time-consuming as it took a good 5 minutes to return the weights."

"For a Sunday cocktail, lovely place to go. Be aware it closes at 6pm. Cocktails are over priced, but I guess you’re paying for the fun ambience and live singers, which are fantastic. Staff were friendly, but a little over attentive, this might have been because we were only 1 of 2 tables in. Overall would definitely recommend for a fancy drink or two."

"only at chez bruce ate, because our original choice to the jubilee dinner (thames river cruise) was cancelled at short notice after we had already booked our hotel: in wandsworth. instead of canceling the whole trip to london, I decided to try cb and see if they could fit us as they were only about 30 minutes away from our hotel. it was a Tuesday night when we were able to get in. I have bruce poole cookbook so was very excited to taste the restaurant and eating was really good. very similar to la trumpet in chiswick and I think they share. my starter of enoki mushroom salad with romaine, rump and comte was enormous. my cousin also thought her makrelenrillettes were first class. we have rejoined our head; I choose the hain that was outstanding again. my cousin complained that her pork was too much meat and not enough of something else. she was again on board with the dessert of white chocolate jerk and rusty ice cream. I had the cheeseboard that was good, but I had better. good wine list, with a little decent half bottle. However, the bottle was ordered by pomerol i was not available, but the sommelier hit an alternative, cheaper bottle that was very good. brot was very nice. service was okay, not great. there were some stretch before us to pour wein, to take plates that were both my cousin and I annoyed. but this little grip aside, I thought £200 without wein was pretty good."

"The team at Medlar were incredible last night, they helped make my friends birthday celebration so special. Any issues were dealt with right away and they were so incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is outstanding, word to the wise -visit Medlar on an empty stomach because the portions are big!! Wine list is incredible and the Sommelier was great and understood what we wanted perfectly. I can’t wait to visit again."

"50 Cheyne is gorgeous ! Each time I go I realise I don 't come enough. Food, cocktails , interior design all exquisite.. and all in my local area. Usually i find you have to go into town for this kind of restaurant.. which doesn 't often work for me on a weekday, with children at home ! On Thursday night it was just the right type of busy with every table buzzy. Mostly dates and small groups of friends. I skipped a starter, had the lobster (grilled to perfection and really flavoursome) for mains and ended with a one of everything cheese board ... honestly best cheeseboard i 've had in London. The quality of cheeses you usually only find in restaurants in France. Obsessed with the fact you can go over and choose from the trolley. Naughty delicious! The chef Iain came over to see if we were enjoying our food. Such a great touch. Old school Chelsea but zero snobbery and lots of smiles .. just the way I like it. Thank you 50 Cheyne!!"

"only returned from a beautiful week in y a and it was perfect in every sight! we were in a superior room that had a lot of space for the 2 of us. the bathroom was huge to london standards) and the floor heating was fantastic, after the move to return london for the day. breakfast every morning was wonderful, like the flat white ones! we only upgraded one tomorrow, as the continental offer was so impressive! the most beautiful fruit salads, the yogurt with granola and fruit-comonate....almost the trip alone worth it! y a was the perfect basis for tour london, we found ourselves most often rides, as the look of the second level was fantastic! buses to take us where we wanted to go were no longer that 2 blocks away. after a busy day in the inner city of london it was so pleasant to be back in relatiw quiet location of camden town in just 20-30 minutes. the return to the same few faces at the reception and our little boutique hotel made the london experience so intimate. with so many places to eat we have only eaten one night in y a. we chose pizza from the wood burning stove. I was a bit embarrassing to be that the guest is asked to sit in the less formal pizza salon instead of the formal dining room and the personal was happy to accommodate! the pizza was fantastic as you are expected! and huge! we ordered 2 but you would have been perfect for the exchange. many thanks to the entire team at y a! they have made our trip perfect! "We tried the early tasting menu (great value, book online beforehand). The food was beautifully presented and the portions were generous. They substituted all the meat dishes on the menu with vegetarian options, which were all incredibly delicious. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff, especially a charming French waiter. The atmosphere was lively and the outdoor seating was lovely. We would definitely return."

"A very special restaurant with a fabulous view over Trafalgar Square and way beyond. A great menu with vegetation choices. A good wine list, but the bottles start just under £30.00. I made a mistake (and so did others) of leaving my coat and umbrella in the downstairs cloakroom, which closes before the upstairs (floor three), restaurant! I was told my coat and umbrella would be bought up to the restaurant cloakroom later but sadly this did not happen and it was a bit of a farce trying to retrieve my items at the end of the night! It is a little tricky to find floor three where the restaurant is situated. Basically enter through the main entrance, go up the stairs to the first level, walk all the way to the back of the room and you will see lifts at the end that will take you up to the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip but book first as this place gets busy."

"We had a fabulous evening meal at Corse Lawn restaurant. The actual room could do with a bit of a make over. Most of the pairings were crooked and there were cobwebs on the wall light shades but it sort of added to the quirkiness of it. Can’t fault the food it was really excellent. The wine list was quite extensive but not so that you couldn’t get through it. Can highly recommend. The hotel is owned by the Hine (cognac) family which is why the wine list is excellent. The bar has plenty of choice and we sat in the lounge area for our coffee and petit fours (homemade)."

"This restaurant is really wonderful, located right next to the Prince Edward Theatre. While the bar area is great, we had made a reservation for the restaurant. I had requested a quiet table and we were accommodated. From the moment we were greeted to when we left, all the staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. Even the bartender said hello as we passed by on the way to our table. The food and drinks were exceptional. I had mentioned it was a big birthday celebration for my friend when booking. I had completely forgotten about this, but we were surprised with a delicious piece of cake and sorbet at the end, with birthday wishes. I definitely recommend this restaurant and bar. A big thank you to Tamara, our lovely waitress."

"Everything from the Service to the Food was 5 star. How this place hasn’t got a Michelin Star is beyond me. Have eaten at Ramsey Kerridge restaurants and the food here is just as good. Would highly recommend"

"Business lunch for four, recommended by a colleague who loves the place.Location is great and the conservatory style dining area is really nice. Tables are well spaced out and the overall effect is really calm and peaceful.Only one other table being used, so the service was quick as you would expect. Bread and olives to share were delicious, really nice, mains ordered 2 tuna and 2 salads. The tuna steak was exceptional, beautifully cooked, delicious. Everyone in the group well satisfied with their food. They desserts were good, but not up to the standard of the starters. Decent priced bottle of wine, some coffees and everyone was happy. It’s a little lifeless, I’m sure some days it must be busier which would create more of a buzz. Prices aren’t bad, given it’s location, service and food are good. Would definitely go again, and just to make sure we do, the restaurant have a loyalty card scheme which we signed up to. Covers a few different restaurants (including Ginos and Piccolinos) and you get £20 for joining! Not bad"

"We had a fantastic evening. Table for 4 social distancing adhered to and other safety measures in place. Great menu choice, including one vegetarian guest who was very impressed with the choice. Fabulous wine list. Service was lovely, informal yet professional. One very happy table thank you we will be back!"

"Perhaps less accessible than the other Grind siblings in town since this one doesn't open in weekends. Although they still manage to have friendly staff to deliver a consistent quality of their signature products, not only the coffee but also the classic-chic interior with a modern hipster twist. However I can imagine how busy it becomes in the mornings during the week. My flat white was one of the best ones in the recent few weeks time, creamy texture, gently punchy taste and subtle but firm aroma. Absolutely worth to check it out when in this side of the town during the week."

"Bartender 's drink making skills were lacking. Flavourless drinks with too much ice. As we reviewed the menu and discussed the menu, he lectured us that no one comes here for the burger. When my wife said the burger looked pretty good, he replie, you should order something else. We were seated soon there after and told the waitress we wanted a burger. Sorry, sold out was her response. I ordered the overpriced fillet mignon medium rare and it came out medium well. Nice looking restaurant. Seems they put a lot of thought into the design. Someone else should be running place and they could be more inventive with the menu. As a former bartender, I recommend that rethink their cocktails. And paper straws? What a way to run a mint julip."

"Food was very nice, prices were reasonable for the food quality. The service was utterly inadequate. First, they seemed to lack knowledge of their own menu. Second, everything moved at a glacial pace. It took them 5 minutes to pour a glass of wine, despite the restaurant being almost empty. We had to ask 3 times for more tap water. When I asked about the sorbets available, the waiter offered chocolate or vanilla ice cream. A single scoop of vanilla took 15 minutes to arrive at my table. Funnily enough, the only thing the staff did quickly was take the payment at the end. The waiters seemed to value the style and form of their service much more than any effectiveness or personability. Avoid this restaurant if you value good service."
