"Our experience was lovely! Our waiter Marcel was very kind and answered any questions we had. We were cautious about our spending as even though this was a special occasion as we're students but the prices weren't as bad as we were expecting. Our two mains cost £15 20 each which we shared and we also purchased a starter for £10. We weren't too fussed about purchasing drinks or dessert. We were lucky to get a table seat and a complimentary birthday dessert! The food was good but not the best we had eaten (but the vegetable rice was incredible) was mainly there for the beautiful view. The overall restaurant is very pretty and was dimly lit for ambiance. Only downside was we were sat next to a very large group who were very loud I wish the bigger tables for many guests were more sectioned off? The other side of the restaurant was very quiet but we didn't want to risk losing a table view. In short, it's an amazing experience but I wouldn't come here very often, only for special occasions. Also, we asked to get the service charge off and they kindly agreed."

"Honestly, I don’t understand the need for such loud music. It is not a club, it is not a concert; you come to the rooftop to enjoy the view with your mates, have a good talk, and generally relax. But the loud music makes it all impossible; all you hear is auto-tuned voices screaming in your brain. When I just entered that place, I wanted to leave immediately. "At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"Best kept secret in Saltash. Food is amazing, try the Asian Adventure Menu, the food is cooked to order and is the best Asian cuisine in the southwest. We've been there 3 times and it's excellent every time. If you smoke they even have a shelter attached to the restaurant so you can smoke under cover with seating. We will be returning to try more from the menu. I can't praise them enough."

"Came here for a brunch with the girls after finishing University. The drinks are absolutely gorgeous! The food was okay, we had a platter to share, it was nothing special. The pizza was very good. I had a great time here until the waitress was incredibly rude. We added our student discount and she stated we didnt look like students and walked off. We also removed the service charge (to tip in cash) and the women again was incredibly rude and stroppy, said okay purposefully avoiding eye contact and stropped off again. Didnt leave the tip in the end, disgusting attitude. She was very short and rude to us the entire time."

"The waitress brought he wrong order. We told her twice but she was confused. Seized the plates on our table and left. We ordered a Breakfast that included juice. Never came. Coffee was included in the meal we ordered but she charged us for coffee and then said the machine was broken and did not refund us. A 50 pound breakfast Renee up costing 95 pounds. So I paid 132 dollars for a breakfast I did not order. Also we got charged for for cafes cause the waitress took my husband drink when it was still half full. This is a nice place to eat but I would never return. I should have just told the manager but I didn’t want to be a Karen. But ordering breakfast is not that complicated."

"We made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. The day before our booking, we received an email asking us to confirm again, which we did. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that there was no reservation under our name. "This restaurant is set within the Marriott Hotel. On arrival it was very quiet and could've done with some background music. We were warmly greeted by the manager. The menu offers a nice selection and some different dishes. Our waitress was very nervous as it was her first week, we really felt for her. She didn't know the soup of the day, and had to ask about what the dishes included. She really could've done with some training and help from her supervisor. Our wine arrived and we weren't offered to sample it and then they left it for us to pour ourselves. We wouldn't expect this from this type of venue. The food was lovely but the prices and service charge made it a very expensive affair."

"When we finally found it we were totally unsure of where we were meant to go for food and staff were whizzing in and out of a door which was the kitchen and no one asked if we were ok, when we were finally told abruptly that it's down the stars (in the tiny kitchen area) we were shown to a table and which my partner was glad it was happy hour on the cocktails still! We ordered our food and it was really nice! And for the price completely spot on! Couldn't fault the food! However the one thing we were disgruntled by was the 12.5% added on for a tip, I don't feel we got the personal service to add on a 10 pound tip at all!! And not only that because the bill came after happy hour we were charged full price. As we felt we were being a lead on a little to take our money as much as possible and as quick as possible we didn't stay for another drink as first planned when we chose to eat there. We were in a awkward spot where people were knocking our chairs to get past and standing right next to table having conversations. So this put a damper on the evening and chose else where to drink and continue our evening! But I will emphasise that if you are going out a good food then I really can't fault the place."

"We were a large group, who had booked weeks in advance. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to receive our starters after ordering, and another hour and a half after ordering mains (why weren't both orders taken at the same time? to receive our mains. It was a Saturday early evening. Our party arrived at 1730 and left at 2115. Way too long to wait as we had somewhere else to go to afterwards. We felt that the staff were just trying to encourage us to buy more drinks whilst we waited. Nothing wrong with attentive staff, but nearly 4 hours to finish our meal was unacceptable. The restaurant was not very busy, and to see other tables eat and leave before us was frustrating. The food was good, staff polite and friendly, but the experience let down by the slow service. First time Id been there and I will not return or recommend."

"The surroundings are very pleasant but unfortunately the gentleman that was providing the live entertainment was really pretty bad,however,the staff realising this did not let him play for very long they did go round asking the diners for their feedback.
