"Nice view as you'd expect from 33 floor of the Shard. The service was good, the lady who served us was very polite. The duck was nice, my kids loved it, the dim sums were very good, not very keen with how they served the rest of the duck though, it will be nice to give an option for you to choose as how you want the rest of your duck served rather than stir fried them with beans. Yes, it is not cheap, I think it is reasonably priced considering the location of the restaurant. It would also be nice if they have some complimentary fruit or ice cream after the heavy meal. Overall, I'd be happily recommend this place to friends and family."

"Visited for brunch for my Mums birthday this weekend. The food and wine was lovely, Caesar salad was outstanding. The views and decor in the hotel and restaurant are fantastic. What really made the trip was the service we received, all staff were so polite and even brought out a slice of cake for my Mum which we appreciated so much. Downstairs Derek, on the reception took lots of photos of us and gave us great information about London and how to get about. Will definitely be back the next time we visit!! "At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"Best kept secret in Saltash. Food is amazing, try the Asian Adventure Menu, the food is cooked to order and is the best Asian cuisine in the southwest. We've been there 3 times and it's excellent every time. If you smoke they even have a shelter attached to the restaurant so you can smoke under cover with seating. We will be returning to try more from the menu. I can't praise them enough."

"Just as the same experience as Scarlett (Soho) over staffed lack of service. "Would have loved to give a 5 for the value, we had a chilli calamari which was really disappointing. However, there was some good and some great too. I decided to go for the fish cake with poached egg, the texture was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, much the way I prefer them, the cake was nicely seasoned and the poached eggs nicely cooked and the whole thing very well presented. My partner decided on the Chicken Skewers with grain which she was more than happy with, not my taste. Now, the highlight the Kids Fish Fingers, not your typical kids meal, large fish finger which were mini Cods pieces So, in summary, don’t have the calamari find a child to take, take them to Mc Donald’s first and steal their Fish Fingers."

"The waitress brought he wrong order. We told her twice but she was confused. Seized the plates on our table and left. We ordered a Breakfast that included juice. Never came. Coffee was included in the meal we ordered but she charged us for coffee and then said the machine was broken and did not refund us. A 50 pound breakfast Renee up costing 95 pounds. So I paid 132 dollars for a breakfast I did not order. Also we got charged for for cafes cause the waitress took my husband drink when it was still half full. This is a nice place to eat but I would never return. I should have just told the manager but I didn’t want to be a Karen. But ordering breakfast is not that complicated."

"My family and I had a wonderful meal at Red Torch Ginger last weekend. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was delicious and close to real Thai cuisine. We ordered many times take out from them, but the restaurant offers a bigger variety of meals when you dine in. We enjoyed the crispy duck and the pad thai noodles. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful, and the portions were generous. We also liked the cozy atmosphere of the place, and the prices were reasonable. Red Torch Ginger is one of the best restaurants in Maynooth."

"I've past this Giraffe a few times in the past and especially in the morning, it's busy in the morning. When you book a table online it will give you two options; standard or top. I booked it standard but I was curious of the top option, so I've changed it and was happy with the result. Location is within 10min of Victoria station, venue has both in/or outdoor seating so option is there. It's not a super big venue but it seems that there are enough decent space between the tables. Service was ok, they were not a lot of people in the restaurant so not sure why it took longer to get our main when my main came, the visual appearance is nice but the chicken was lukewarm and borderline cold. Didn't complain cus I was not sure if the chicken was meant to be cold as the salad plate that I got, well it was cold. It's a nice restaurant and worth a visit. The while Giraffe set up reminds me a bit of Zizi."

"Great service and environment, the interior is really spacious and escapes the traditional dim atmosphere. I had breakfast on my own and felt really welcome. The breakfast menu does not offer anything overly impressive but it has all the classics to accommodate different tastes; the food was well cooked and brought out almost immediately. The day was overly cold (big snow day) and the waiter didn't mind I was holding onto my Starbucks take-out-hand-warmer of a tea, which was nice. "We made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. The day before our booking, we received an email asking us to confirm again, which we did. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that there was no reservation under our name. Despite showing them the booking reference and the two confirmations on my phone, we were still not able to get a table. "Perched canal-side in Little Venice, the restaurant has a casual but chic nautical theme with a really family-friendly vibe. During the Saturday lunch service, the restaurant was buzzing, full of families and friends happily gathering for a bite to eat. Our little group were treated to three courses of fairly classic dishes, simple in flavour and generous in size. I loved the beetroot cured salmon, was a little defeated by the enormous chicken salad, and grinned ear to ear at the arrival of my knickerbocker glory!The service was accommodating and familial, which is exactly what you expect from a good neighbourhood restaurant; I got the sense that the diners in there had been eating at The Summerhouse for some time and would continue that tradition for some time to come."

"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. "This restaurant is set within the Marriott Hotel. On arrival it was very quiet and could've done with some background music. We were warmly greeted by the manager. The menu offers a nice selection and some different dishes. Our waitress was very nervous as it was her first week, we really felt for her. She didn't know the soup of the day, and had to ask about what the dishes included. She really could've done with some training and help from her supervisor. Our wine arrived and we weren't offered to sample it and then they left it for us to pour ourselves. We wouldn't expect this from this type of venue. The food was lovely but the prices and service charge made it a very expensive affair."

"When we finally found it we were totally unsure of where we were meant to go for food and staff were whizzing in and out of a door which was the kitchen and no one asked if we were ok, when we were finally told abruptly that it's down the stars (in the tiny kitchen area) we were shown to a table and which my partner was glad it was happy hour on the cocktails still! We ordered our food and it was really nice! And for the price completely spot on! Couldn't fault the food! However the one thing we were disgruntled by was the 12.5% added on for a tip, I don't feel we got the personal service to add on a 10 pound tip at all!! And not only that because the bill came after happy hour we were charged full price. As we felt we were being a lead on a little to take our money as much as possible and as quick as possible we didn't stay for another drink as first planned when we chose to eat there. We were in a awkward spot where people were knocking our chairs to get past and standing right next to table having conversations. So this put a damper on the evening and chose else where to drink and continue our evening! But I will emphasise that if you are going out a good food then I really can't fault the place."

"We were a large group, who had booked weeks in advance. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to receive our starters after ordering, and another hour and a half after ordering mains (why weren't both orders taken at the same time? to receive our mains. It was a Saturday early evening. Our party arrived at 1730 and left at 2115. Way too long to wait as we had somewhere else to go to afterwards. We felt that the staff were just trying to encourage us to buy more drinks whilst we waited. Nothing wrong with attentive staff, but nearly 4 hours to finish our meal was unacceptable. The restaurant was not very busy, and to see other tables eat and leave before us was frustrating. The food was good, staff polite and friendly, but the experience let down by the slow service. First time Id been there and I will not return or recommend."
