"I visited this restaurant with friends on a Saturday for the bottomless brunch and had an outstanding experience. We were served by a gentleman named Chris who provided exceptional service. He was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to assist us. The food was delicious with a wide variety of options and generous portions. It was also great value for money and conveniently located in Angel. Overall, our experience at Bills was fantastic and Chris definitely deserves a raise!"

"Great service at Bills, really safe. Actually one of the safest restaurants I have been to. Temperature check on arrival, masks, social distancing and hand sanitizer on every table. Quick and friendly service but we were let down a little by the food. The poached eggs unfortunately had no taste and the rest of the breakfast very salty. I have always loved bills and raved about the food but on this occasion we were a little disappointed by the food. Would still go back as it’s a lovely ambiance and not uncomfortable with social distancing. Maybe just an off day on the food front. I did eat my breakfast as I was starving and I’m sure if I had said at the time it would have been resolved"

"I just wasn’t satisfied with the Hotel itself. No spoon to stir my tea/coffee with (in the room) No initial towels (even though I asked for extra and they replied promptly) It’s a decent place once you arrive and looks nice but I ended up finding someone else’s underwear in my room. Had to call front desk for towels Shower head was taped down (was leaking from the sides). Very boring room, unappealing but the view was probably the best. The bed felt nice. Granted they are under renovation but you’d think they would take extra care of those staying there. Not just some £10 voucher. The worst is the keys. Hated opening my own hotel room because you have to Jimmy it a few times. Don’t like the big hall pass attachment to the key either. Doesn’t fit in pockets or anything I look forward to the new improvements and will not be staying unless I stay in a new bedroom."

"While the food was hot and tasty, we debated on whether to risk waiting for dessert. Unfortunately, that decision was made for us as we were left unattended after the plates were cleared for the main course. No one came back to check if we wanted dessert, so we eventually had to flag someone down to ask for the bill instead. It's a shame because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the food was reasonably priced—especially the festive menu. Unfortunately, the service was poor enough that we decided to remove the service charge (a first for us), and we likely won't be returning anytime soon."

"from both of us I found eating at elenas to be totally acceptable, but the price-performance ratio is a bit ho-hum. the photos of the stars that decorate the walls gives him a certain charm, but the bright lighting makes nothing for the shaded color job that lurking behind the mugs, and I felt, giving the place a caffe feeling. Some candles and somewhat lower lighting could go the inner further. I think the attention to small details makes customers appreciate. for example, why not use stainless steel eis eimer instead of plastic, which I enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, served with roasted brioche and chutney. so good. "One Sunday evening I had a glass of wine in the Bonds a good glass of wine and just a small one. I left my purse probably at the bar where I paid. It was only Monday morning that I realised what happened and I knew it could only have been there. So I called and there it was, waiting for me to be picked. Next day I had dinner there with my kids. Thanking the lady who was the day before, she simply said that this was the pub’s policy and they just followed it. Thank you who made that policy and a thousand thanks to those who followed it! Btw I had a wonderful Cesar’s salad. It looked unusual, nothing like the common ones, but the taste was special and all incrediences fresh and tasty. I also loved the french white cuvee! Looking forward to come back!"

"Why has this restaurant had a makeover that resembles the competition. Hard floors plastic tables all a clatter if it ever fills up. The plot has been lost along with the unique selling point that any successful business desires. It has had the photos signed by the stars replaced by modern images which could have been purchased at a cheap decor shop. The food was not up to that expected to make you want to return, so I will pass to hopefully better eateries. Drinks over priced and red wine came in a glass that looked like it was barely pub quality. If you are going to serve a good wine put it in a glass that at least looks the part."

"We had a dreadful meal on Wednesday before a gig at the Apollo. Asked about allergies and told them, however was then brought food with the allergen in twice. It is an unusual allergy, so gave them a bit of the benefit of the doubt, however service was painfully slow andncertain serving staff were pretty rude (including one staff member spilling water on my friend and not even apologising). My friend's main course then arrived cold, and we did not have time to wait for it to be remade. In fairness, the staff member who brought our bill was very apologetic and took all of the food off the bill, but that didn't make up for the terrible experience and my friend only having a starter in the end. We just wanted to have a decent meal with competent service, but that did not seem to be on the menu."

"Overall this was a good experience. Although we did have to wait a while for a member of staff to notice that we had arrived. My son and I ordered steaks for our main course which were tender, well cooked and served in good time. My son is a bit of a steak connoisseur and he gave a thumbs up. The only criticism I would have is if you are going to put some green salad on the side at least put a decent amount or don’t bother. To drink I had a gin and tonic, unfortunately this had so much tonic and ice in it I couldn’t taste the gin. This could be improved on. Bearing in mind this is a bar and grill in East Grinstead High Street they did a pretty good job and we both left feeling satisfied and it’s not often I say that."

"Thoroughly disappointing! We booked at the hotel because there was a nice restaurant attached. We booked a table, when we checked in at 2pm we had our table booking confirmed for 6.30pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant it was all in darkness, a member of staff came to tell us it was closed after an emergency that had happened this morning and we could sit in the bar. The only tables available in the bar were low ones with big lounge chairs..not the seating for a meal! We don't go out very often so was planning on going all out with this meal, 3 courses, wine etc. Not at a lounge chair though. No one told us about the change to our booking. No one had reserved us a table in the bar. I went to reception desk where I was met with a very hostile member of staff who merely shrugged when I asked why no one had let us know about our booking. He didn't care. I felt really sad as like I said, going out is a rarity for us, and we were really looking forward to having a nice romantic dinner. Because of the lack of interest, and suitable seating we decided to get an Uber Eats delivered and had it in our room. Awful service. I presume the same kitchen produces the breakfasts in the morning.. which was delivered to our room over an hour late and stone cold. Such a shame as the location is stunning. Customer service needs work."

"When I ordered, I mentioned the 50% discount that was supposed to apply, and the server assured me it would be honored. I placed my order, and while the eckribs were enjoyable, the krabbenburger had an unappealing texture similar to cottage cheese. The strawberry cocktails were bland and tasteless. In fact, I didn’t eat the krabbenburger at all because we were waiting for someone to check on us, but nobody came. When the bill arrived, I brought up the issue with the krabbenburger, and the server removed it from the total. However, as we paid the bill, I noticed that the 50% discount had not been applied. I pointed out their mistake, but they said there was nothing they could do and just stared at me, waiting for me to leave. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant."

"I enjoyed a nice lunch with my friend on a very busy Saturday where people were queuing to get a table, so we were glad we had booked. Despite how busy it was, the staff were pleasant and efficient and we were not made to feel rushed at all, which can often happen when tables are in such demand. We shared a bowl of olives then both chose a very taste and generously portioned duck stir-fry. An Aperol spritz and 3 glasses of a very nice rose blush and the bill came to approx £56, which is reasonable for the city centre."

"Great resturant, really good food. Prawn Coaktail was lovely and the Fillet Steak was cooked to perfection. Great friendly service and Rachel on reception was very helpful. Only slight disappointment for me was the Panna Cotta. And somebody really really needs to do something about the play list. Backstreet Backstreets back and Another Level Freak Me on a loop mixed in with a compliation of the worst of the and No. Just No. That playlist is completely inconsistent with the entire hotel and resturant. Apart from that we really enjoyed it and will be back"

"We went to celebrate my boyfriend birthday. Food was alright but service wasn’t great. Waitress forgot to send one of our main course and we had to ask few times where is our food,eventually arranged when we all finished our main courses. Also some of the starters arrived but we didn’t order them and later on they were added on our bill. No apology or whatsoever, I wouldn’t go back there again even though venue it’s really nice and if the waitress would be nicer to us I’m sure we could have better experience."

"Hubby and I have had breakfast in there past few weeks after Tesco shopping. The service is exceptional, the staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and kind. The pina colada cocktails are fab and tasty made by Jess (I believe. Ben who served us was a lovely guy as others are but unfortunately not sure of their names. Food tastes delicious. The eggs are top quality and bacon lovely and tender. Think it will be a regular visit now. Well done everyone"

"We approached the restaurant to see from the window that no one was inside which was worrying. I was put off and contemplated finding another restaurant. Called to ask if they was even open and turns out you have to enter and go downstairs. First impression wasn't great. Service was okay and the restaurant looked nice. I ordered the Fillet medium rare, what came was not medium rare but more medium well done, my wife ordered the chicken which was lovely. I was offered a replacement but I didn't want to wait whilst my wife had eaten her food."
