"This has to be one of my favourite Canal side pubs with lots of history in the surrounding area lovely walks by the canal. After many years (10 coming here I'd through I'll finally leave a comment Every time I'm passing bye on my Canal boat I always try and moore up near by for my 2 weeks stay pop in and see Martin and his team. What's to like? A Great location,A nice garden with lots of tables. Free o2 WiFi. A good selection of cask ale Gin,Whiskey cocktails available. Also Tea,coffee for the non drinkers soft drinks for the kids. Doggy beer (water is available for your pooches and well behaved dogs can have a doggy treat. Ask the staff. Muddy paws are welcome at the bar but not in the restaurant. Bar snacks available. A menu that changes every few months. (As with any village Inn It's not Cheap but if you want cheap go down the local cafe! . But with a great menu on offer there is always something interesting on it sometimes I have hard time choosing what to have to eat If you like your Sunday Roast pop in try one, very nice. For the early morning person they do a lovely Breakfast/brunch menu (see my photos of the breakfast I had . Check the opening times for breakfast or just call them. What's not to like? Right PARKING...Let's get this out of the way, it's FREE for pub guests. YOU just need to enter your vehicle's registration at the console just inside the pub entrance or at the bar,any problems see the staff for help. If you forget to then you could be in for a fine! If you just want to park take a walk along the Cancel then you Pay! There are a lot parking signs around the car park telling you to enter your registration at the pub so you can't really say you didn't see them!!. It can get INSANELY busy on a nice day and you may have to wait for your food,so just warning you! So sit back and relax, watch the Canal boats or the Ducks go by have a drink while you wait. Lastly, The WiFi here is SO slow it has always had been that way (it's not the pubs fault it's just o2 WiFi ! . Overall imho it's a nice place to relax and have a drink grab a bite to eat. So if your passing by on your Canal boat or by car or just on foot drop in and check the Cory Carp out you may like it, just like I do. Enjoy! If you like this review found it helpful leave me a thumbs up Parking: Just enter your registration number for your vehicle at the Bar for free parking"

"I booked Bill 's Covent Garden well in advance for my 50th birthday meal. There were 11 of us altogether. We left our unfinished cocktails at Tequila Mockingbird in order to get to Bill 's in time for our booking at 7.30pm. We arrived in time and were told that the table was not ready and to wait outside. We waited for 30 minutes during that time no one came out to update us on what was happening. When a member of our party asked when our table would be ready and explained that it was for a special occasion the manager said and I quote 'Everyone here is special '. We were not implying that we were more special than other diners, only that it was a special occasion and having to wait 30 minutes in the cold with no explanation was not a great start. When we were finally seated we were given no table water until we asked for some 15 minutes after sitting and it took a further 20 minutes for anyone to come over to take our drink order (after having to go and ask! A member of our party spoke to a senior member of staff (unsure if manager or deputy manager about the situation and that what was to be a special occasion was turning into a terrible night. Then the manageress (short blonde hair not sure of name came over and interrupted the conversation, was very rude and aggressive claiming we were being deliberately obtrusive. When we explained how long we had to wait, the lack of awareness and service at our table and that what was to be a special night was being ruined she seemed to calm down and two bottles of complimentary prosecco sent to our table. We then had a further extended wait before our order was taken. Between when we arrived at 7.30 and when we received our food was an hour and a half. The managers left before we asked for the bill and were not around to support the staff when we found discrepancies in the bill. The manageress of this Bill 's was terrible and had an absolute lack of any customer service whatsoever. She would not acknowledge that the long wait times were a problem and in fact implied that we were the problem. The wait staff however were lovely and understanding of our situation. This was a memorable birthday but not in a good way. Avoid."

"We had to see some important clients in Canary Wharf earlier in the week. We booked this restaurant as they expressed a liking for indian food and the location was perfect. We arrived ten minutes early, and the waiter very kindly pointed us to a parking place very near. The restaurant was split into two, with the ground floor serving Italian food and the upstairs serving Indian food. It was modern and clean and was right on the wharf, with expensive yachts parked on the Quay. The menu was very, very extensive, with some dishes I had not heard of before. We ordered a cross-section of vegetarian and meat/chicken dishes. These dishes turned up almost immediately, and none of them were freshly prepared. We got the impression everything was just reheated. None of the food was hot, not even the nan breads or Roti. The service was very amateur, though friendly enough. There were a total of five of us eating. Three of the others shared a bottle of Rioja, one had a beer, and we used three bottles of water. No one wanted a dessert. The food was cheap for the area, but it would have been much better to increase the prices and also the quality. The menu should (in our opinion) be reduced to a manageable length size so that it could all be prepared properly. The total bill was just under £200 and 12.5% service charge was added, making it £222. There were not a lot of clients in either the Indian of Italian parts of the restaurant, though our booking qas early at 6.30pm (leaving at 9pm) When we left we thought what a shame, for such a nicely presented venue, in a unique setting."
