"I've past this Giraffe a few times in the past and especially in the morning, it's busy in the morning. When you book a table online it will give you two options; standard or top. I booked it standard but I was curious of the top option, so I've changed it and was happy with the result. Location is within 10min of Victoria station, venue has both in/or outdoor seating so option is there. It's not a super big venue but it seems that there are enough decent space between the tables. Service was ok, they were not a lot of people in the restaurant so not sure why it took longer to get our main when my main came, the visual appearance is nice but the chicken was lukewarm and borderline cold. Didn't complain cus I was not sure if the chicken was meant to be cold as the salad plate that I got, well it was cold. It's a nice restaurant and worth a visit. The while Giraffe set up reminds me a bit of Zizi."

"My wife and I went for a meal here near end July 2024. The place was nearly empty. Little atmosphere or ambience. We both had Sea Bass for main coarse....and duly our meal arrived. Nice sea bass...but very small and served on a ton of risotto (to fill out the meal , I presume). All tasty enough. But the meal was expensive for what we got and poor value for money. Service was good and the girl dealing with us was very pleasant. But it was not an experience I will bother repeating. John Murnaghan"

"We had a wonderful evening at B&V last night. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the drinks were excellent, all of which are typical for a high-class restaurant. The staff were also friendly and attentive. It appears that the bar area is now more for decoration, as there was no dedicated bartender that I could see, unlike in previous years. In the past, the staff would also take our coats, and while it may seem trivial, these small gestures added a special touch that set the restaurant apart from its competition. Despite this, I still believe that B&V is the best restaurant in the area, but paying attention to these details could elevate it even further and compete with Cockfosters as well."

"Honestly, I've eaten here before (Pre-pandemic) and I'll eat here again. 5 stars everytime! On Sunday just gone, at no prior notice, they accommodated 15 people for a staff dinner. Skewers for a starter were great, The Kimchee Fried Chicken Burger (see photo) was so damn good and I even doubled up the chicken. Thank you to the staff that night for being so polite, so patient as we were very dis-organised too. Shout out to EJ, you're the best!!! As I said in my opening line, I've eaten here before and I will do again."

"Breakfast served beautifully, presentation on the pancakes was amazing, they were lovely and fluffy and fruit zingy. The traditional breakfast was great, I wasn’t a fan of the tomatoes and mushrooms it came with on the menu so the staff member happily suggested substituting for more sausage for no extra cost. Great choice as well because the cumberland sausage is to die for, egg yolks cooked to perfection along side the bacon and the sourdough bread was on another level. The fresh juices they offer are a steal for the quality, complete burst of flavour in your mouth and the same goes for the coffee which is served in a cute glass! Perfect breakfast before our little one’s arrival! Will definitely be returning!"

"My boyfriend and I had an absolutely brilliant evening here for our anniversary last week (mid October). The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the ambience was just delightful. We arrived an hour earlier than our booking and enjoy some drinks on the roof of the boat. As it wasn't busy, we were able to be seated 15 minutes earlier than our booking which made the night go more smoothly. The food was served quicker than expected (about 15 mins if that), and was all presented very nicely. We ordered several small plates to share. Everything was divine! I would just like to point out for other guests, in case they skim over the menu as we did; the sweet potato chips are HUGE. You only get about 4 or 5 and it looks like the entire sweet potato has been slices long ways with the skin. Yummy but we didn't even eat half so I wouldn't order if you're not absolutely starving. ALSO: the regular chips are cooked in duck fat. As a vegetarian I didn't order this, but I did pinch some of my boyfriend's chips, as every girlfriend does, only to realise a few moments later what I had consumed... again still yummy, but I wish I had known beforehand. Could not boast enough about how amazing all the food was!! The cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed a french martini and a rosemary rush, the latter had a particular kick I'm still mouth watering over even a few days later!! The dessert was impeccable. We got the chocolate ball as did everyone in the restaurant, and it did not disappoint! That was plenty between two people. It's also quite romantic to share too. But being us, we also ordered the yogurt meringue delicious!! As we had such a great conversation with the manager and mentioned it was our anniversary, he didn't charge for our desserts! We were so touched, we are hoping to take some friends back with us soon. Would definitely 1000% recommend this fun little find. Also it is only maybe 10 footsteps from Paddington Station! Definitely a date night to remember."

"Grateful the host got us a booth in a quiet corner, the service was fairly quick and our waitress was really kind, my white wine was a little lukewarm, my burger temperature was on the cold side but manageable. Asked for sauce from the waiter who delivered the mains, he seemed like he literally couldn’t care less and didn’t ask what we wanted (only ketchup) and ran off saying he would find someone else. Staff seemed pushed who were serving but not sure if it was senior staff or managers but they were tidying away candles and table decorations before 7:30pm when still in service and a busy restaurant. The website when you book makes a fuss about what you are celebrating reason for visit, which I highlighted this from the options and literally no one mentioned anything about why we were celebrating, no small touch on the dessert or anything like I’ve experienced in other restaurants who didn’t have this information readily available. Just not sure why it asks, it makes you expect something to happen and then feel disappointed when nothing did happen. (our waitress did say congrats after a short conversation so I cannot fault her) also the menus online don’t reflect what’s on offer in the restaurant. It’s not very clear and a little underwhelming, I think the website is misleading as you select that exact location and it shows all menus on offer. "What have they done??? Ruined! They’ve tried to turn this wonderful street food restaurant into ‘fine dining’. Over 20 years we’ve been going to Bugis Street, Gloucester Road service was always attentive, portions sizes good, food authentic and tasty BUT NO MORE. The waiters and waitresses were struggling, was promised our drinks a few times but they took an age to arrive. The food took quite a while too. The menu has been drastically reduced and the price hiked up to an astronomical amount. The food was all wrong, the taste has gone the laksa had no flavour, was too creamy and the portion size halved, there was hardly any soup in my tiny bowl. The Chicken Rice the presentation was ridiculous the whole point of having the rice on the same plate as the chicken is that the juice soaks into the rice the rice was dry and had no flavour, the chicken was bland. So in summary huge price hike, smaller portions and tasteless food. However, you do get fancy table cloths, beautiful cutlery and crockery and comfy seats!!! Bring back the old chef and old menu keep to your roots Bugis Street. We definitely won’t be back until you do. Such shame. Gutted!"

"I have recommended this place for what feels like a million times to people as I have had many fantastic meals here However... On Wednesday it was unfortunately the last time we go. It had nothing to do with the wait, as the burgers are cooked from fresh and it's always worth the wait. The problem was the fact we got completely ripped off with the toppings. I paid for just one single thin slice of chorizo, it was rather embarrassing really. Same again with the bacon, we had one tiny piece of bacon each and then the halloumi was also a bit of joke too, it was shocking. Back in previous visits, the burgers were loaded with toppings but honestly, it was pathetic It's a shame because I had only last week organised the team in work to all go out for a meal there because i told them it's the best burger around Now I have to find somewhere else because I don't want them wasting money on what seemed like a child's portion of a burger."

"Bad service the whole way through. I can see that the restaurant has told other reviewers that they have checked their CCTV . I would love for you to check the CCTV and see what we saw! I am only posting this as your restaurant contacted OpenTable to state we were no shows. Unfortunately we did show. How did you miss us in a practically empty restaurant? We had to chase for water, napkins, plates, condiments etc. Took a napkin from the empty table next to us eventually. 5 mins later a femal staff member walked over and dumped about 10 napkins on our table and walked away. Aggressive much! The quickest part was getting the bill. My partner was served a cocktail that was approximately 1 sip and it was gone as the Martini glass resembled something from a doll 's house play set. Staff openly talking about us in ear shot huff, puff, what do they want , WHAT 'S WRONG yelled from the bar when we requested another drink from a waitress. Food... Garlic bread? Covered in rosemary, couldn 't find/see/taste garlic. Burger bun a brick, chips cooked on the outside not the middle and my chicken was so dry it peeled and was like string. Checked the review site before we went and saw 4.3 so thought this will be great. As meal became worse and worse we read the comments in the reviews. Filter anything from the last 4-6 months and it 's ALL bad. I am assuming I am too going to be called malicious as a previous review was and I see they had a real similar experience to us. No wonder it was practically empty at 9pm on a sat night. We won 't be going back. Refused to pay service which they after a fashion fianlly broken hearted it seemed accepted but we 're so disappointed. The venue looks beautiful, menu looks great and there were 2 staff members out if the team of 6 or so who we saw, who when they appeared were not particulary helpful but the whole experience was shocking. £80+ for 2 people, 2 mains a sharer starter, 4 drinks and 2 sides for what we got in hindsight unacceptable I should have argued for most of the food to be removed from the bill. Food and anbienc should be renamed Food and Ambulace. The manager sists there watching his CCTV and the owner is raking it in from unsuspecting guests and no doubt pays his staff a pittance so thats why they and the unqualified chef act like this .They need to learn manners. Imagine this lot on a cookery show each week as they would all be evicted on the first eviction date or Lord Sugar would fire the whole lot and ask for a new set of customers. Why are people so dishonest as its theft of you hard earned cash.Dispicable."

"I visited for dinner on December 23rd. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and very quiet, which I appreciated, likely due to the limited staff. I ordered the grilled pasta and garlic bread, while my partner had a burger, which he really enjoyed. The pasta was delicious, but it was served lukewarm. The garlic bread consisted of two small pieces of French baguette for £6, and it was cold. The only reason we didn't complain was because of the friendly service from the lovely red-haired staff member."

"Just happened across this place while driving through and having a quick walk around the village and was surprised to see vegan options on the menu. Walked in and were greeted by happy and immediately helpful staff who told us where to park and double checked vegan availability with the chef. Service was amazing throughout, food was very nice (including perfect onion rings and tasty apple and celeriac soup), and we even had 3 yummy desert choices that made it difficult to decide (an unusual and delightful experience to have). Staff were flexible and even offered to make one-off vegan items from available ingredients. All in all, a wonderful surprise so are now planning to come back someday."
"We made a reservation for 7:30pm and were unaware that the restaurant closed at 9pm until we arrived. Despite not feeling rushed, we did not leave until 9:30pm. It would have been helpful to have been informed of the closing time beforehand, as we were the only customers and felt pressured not to overstay our welcome. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that at least 2 cocktails were unavailable due to ingredients running out."

"There's no excuse for poor service. My wife , my daughter and myself were seated and then left for 15 minutes and no sign of the one waiter/manager. I had to ask at the bar to be served. The restaurant was empty and it was booked for 9am. When the food arrived at around 9.30am it was Luke warm and considering they need customers, the portion sizes were less than generous. At £12.95 a head for a brunch you'd hope for more than over cooked bacon, a table spoon of beans and 8 mushrooms. The eggs were best thing on the plate, but they were tepid. To add to this the room was cold. We won't be eating here again. I ll spend the £50 we spent here, somewhere else. Is it worth noting it was my birthday and my daughter had made time before going in to school on the Marylebone rd. I'm a local, not a tourist which is a shame as I am often asked to recommend places to eat."

"Popped in here for a hearty lunch on my own. The service was exceptional, I have never known anything like it before The food was in the most part amazing (although I wish there was an upgrade of steak available for the steak and eggs) Was able to upgrade the fries to sweet potato fries. I ended up going the whole hog and having coffee and desert too as I had time. I don't believe in the 12.5% service charge (as some companies do not pass it on and surely you can not eat at a restaurant without being served) but it was optional and they removed this £3 odd fee. I did think it was amazing though, so left a £5 in cash tip"

"GOOD FOOD TERRIBLE SERVICE I was looking for somewhere local to Wembley stadium. I had an overseas guest visiting who had tickets to a Wembley event. There were only 4 tables seated when we arrived. I had to ask could we order after 20 minutes of waiting. Whilst we were waiting for our starters another table (6 guests) were seated, orders taken and served. I chased our order. It took a total hour for our starters to arrive. Thankfully they were worth waiting for. Fresh crisp calamari, although unfortunately I was also given lemon mayonnaise despite advising I could not have any citrus. The cheesy garlic bread was also delicious. Very large portion, but you can imagine we were pretty hungry by this point. Meanwhile 2 other tables (2 guests and 10 guests) arrived and were served. I again chased our order. The table of 6 that arrived after us were served, had eaten and left before our main course arrived. The table of 2 and 10 also had their mains before us. By now were were running short of time and asked that our main course be brought as soon as possible, and not wait until we had finished our starters. That didn't happen. We had to ask again. The spaghetti bolognese was delicious, and would have been perfect with a sprinkling of parmesan, which we weren't offered. The lamb shank was not the best that I have had. The potatoes with which it was served were a little too watery, not the soft peaks that I was expecting. Although I had not been to Gusto before, the review online was positive, whilst warning about the slow service, which is why I allowed 2 hours. It took 2 1/2 hours, and that was with my questioning. It would have been far worse had I not done so. I can't imagine how bad it would be on a busy night. Perhaps that is why it was quiet on a Saturday night. When we went in I was impressed and hoped that I had found a new restaurant to regularly visit. Sadly it was my first and will be my last visit."

"We were not looked after at all, we had to ask for everything (order to be taken, drinks, water, bill every step of the way… . They took our order and 15 minutes later came back to retake our order with the waiter confirming the order hadn’t been put through, we had children with us too which caused more stress to the experience. I went to the bar to ask for water and the waiter handed me a jug over the bar for me to take back to the table! Really disappointing considering we go to Bills quite often in Farnham and has put us off."

"We decided to dine at The Bosham Inn when meeting our daughter and her boyfriend for Sunday dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted at the entrance and promptly shown to our table. Our waitress, Lucy, was lovely and efficient. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, perfect for a cold winter day. Our daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed the Blument pots dessert, which they said was very tasty. My husband was pleased to find charging points in the parking lot. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend The Bosham Inn."

"My first visit to LayaLina was on Valentine's Day and it was surprisingly quiet with only two other couples present during the two hours we were there. The food was excellent, although we were limited to the Valentine's set menu. The waitress did allow me to order one item from the a la carte menu, but unfortunately one of the dessert options was not available. This was disappointing considering the restaurant's quiet atmosphere and the fact that it was a set menu. The Valentine's set menu was priced at £85 per person, whereas on any other day the same choices would have cost £60 per person. I found the markup to be excessive and unnecessary."
