"The food was lovely. The menu isn't overly extensive but the food everyone ordered was lovely. I had sticky duck salad and calamari for starters which was cooked perfectly. The children ate for free with a paying adult (half term offer) which was great. They had a main, side and desert. The only complaint I have was a can of coke was £3.85 which is extortionate. It was a friends birthday and they brought out her dessert and sang to her which was a lovely touch. Service was great too. All in all a lovely meal and good service. I'd come again."

"My husband's lobster linguine was delicious, but his white wine was lukewarm. The helpful waitress explained that it had just come out of the fridge, which led me to think they should have stocked it earlier in the day to ensure proper chilling. My steak was mediocre, though the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the glass of Pinot Noir was terrible and tasted like the dregs from a low-quality bottle. To top it off, I had the worst Espresso Martini I've ever encountered and couldn't even finish it. In conclusion, the restaurant needs to significantly improve the quality and service of its bar offerings. On a positive note, the service was cheerful, friendly, and accommodating."

"Today we went for lunch and were extremely pleased with our meal and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was also a special birthday lunch for my wife, which I mentioned in my booking but didn't expect anything from it. The staff greeted us and wished my wife a happy birthday. At the end of our meal, when we ordered coffee, they surprised us with a brownie with cream and a candle, and even sang happy birthday to my wife. It was a lovely touch."

"This was a really disappointing dinner experience. We ordered 2 of the fillet steaks for 42 euro each, medium rare. Both arrived well done. I asked to send my steak back and then waited another 30 minutes while the other guests finished their mains before I got mine. With no apology or no waiter to check and see if everything was okay afterward. We also had to ask for steak knives as we were given no cutlery. The server that was looking after us was chewing gum and really unprofessional. For a dish that costs 42 euro you would expect a much higher standard. We won’t ever be coming back."

"I visited this restaurant with my cousin while we were waiting for our friends to finish their marathon. The place has a charming atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. We both ordered the breakfast brunch, which was delicious, and we enjoyed a latte and a tea with our meal. "I visited this bar for drinks and a light snack on two consecutive nights. On the first night, we tried an IPA that we didn't really enjoy, but we made a better choice on the second night and had the most amazing cider! Both evenings, we ordered the Thai fries, and let me tell you—they are little bites of heaven! They remind me of the log-cut fries I used to have as a kid, but in mini form! Each fry is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned just right, and the sweet chili sauce is the perfect dip. In addition to their impressive drink selection and tasty snacks, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!"

"I have recommended this place for what feels like a million times to people as I have had many fantastic meals here However... On Wednesday it was unfortunately the last time we go. It had nothing to do with the wait, as the burgers are cooked from fresh and it's always worth the wait. The problem was the fact we got completely ripped off with the toppings. I paid for just one single thin slice of chorizo, it was rather embarrassing really. Same again with the bacon, we had one tiny piece of bacon each and then the halloumi was also a bit of joke too, it was shocking. "We chose this restaurant because it was advertised as dog friendly and we were interested in trying their traditional Sunday Roast. However, we were disappointed from the start as we were told the roast could only be served on the terrace of a lovely garden, rather than in the restaurant. Despite our preference for indoor dining, we agreed due to the nice weather. The service was slow, but we were not in a rush. As we began to eat, we were bothered by wasps, which was concerning for one diner who has an allergy to their stings. Our mention of this issue did not result in a solution. The quality of the food was mediocre and as we asked to move inside, we were told that our dog would have to stay outside even though the dining room was mostly empty. Our complaint about the lack of dog-friendliness was ignored. In the end, we decided to leave and the only form of apology was a significantly reduced bill compared to what we had ordered. Overall, a disappointing experience and a shame."

"What have they done??? Ruined! They’ve tried to turn this wonderful street food restaurant into ‘fine dining’. Over 20 years we’ve been going to Bugis Street, Gloucester Road service was always attentive, portions sizes good, food authentic and tasty BUT NO MORE. The waiters and waitresses were struggling, was promised our drinks a few times but they took an age to arrive. The food took quite a while too. The menu has been drastically reduced and the price hiked up to an astronomical amount. The food was all wrong, the taste has gone the laksa had no flavour, was too creamy and the portion size halved, there was hardly any soup in my tiny bowl. The Chicken Rice the presentation was ridiculous the whole point of having the rice on the same plate as the chicken is that the juice soaks into the rice the rice was dry and had no flavour, the chicken was bland. So in summary huge price hike, smaller portions and tasteless food. However, you do get fancy table cloths, beautiful cutlery and crockery and comfy seats!!! Bring back the old chef and old menu keep to your roots Bugis Street. We definitely won’t be back until you do. Such shame. Gutted!"

"I had a nice lunch here. my friends living in the opposite, recommended me to try. 3 of us, when and it was not disappointed. we had the express lunch deal. 2 courses for £10.95 but for seafood is £2 extra. starter we have chosen chickensatay, dim sums maiskuchen. the starter comes as 2 pieces for each product. I had seafood rad na nudel. my friends had huh wheel na that is a thick noodle with gravy vegs. my other friends had pad thai. my friends also had dinner here often, they said that they always enjoy it and his best Thai food in epsom. "Bad service the whole way through. I can see that the restaurant has told other reviewers that they have checked their CCTV . I would love for you to check the CCTV and see what we saw! I am only posting this as your restaurant contacted OpenTable to state we were no shows. Unfortunately we did show. How did you miss us in a practically empty restaurant? We had to chase for water, napkins, plates, condiments etc. Took a napkin from the empty table next to us eventually. 5 mins later a femal staff member walked over and dumped about 10 napkins on our table and walked away. Aggressive much! The quickest part was getting the bill. My partner was served a cocktail that was approximately 1 sip and it was gone as the Martini glass resembled something from a doll 's house play set. Staff openly talking about us in ear shot huff, puff, what do they want , WHAT 'S WRONG yelled from the bar when we requested another drink from a waitress. Food... Garlic bread? Covered in rosemary, couldn 't find/see/taste garlic. Burger bun a brick, chips cooked on the outside not the middle and my chicken was so dry it peeled and was like string. Checked the review site before we went and saw 4.3 so thought this will be great. As meal became worse and worse we read the comments in the reviews. Filter anything from the last 4-6 months and it 's ALL bad. I am assuming I am too going to be called malicious as a previous review was and I see they had a real similar experience to us. No wonder it was practically empty at 9pm on a sat night. We won 't be going back. Refused to pay service which they after a fashion fianlly broken hearted it seemed accepted but we 're so disappointed. The venue looks beautiful, menu looks great and there were 2 staff members out if the team of 6 or so who we saw, who when they appeared were not particulary helpful but the whole experience was shocking. £80+ for 2 people, 2 mains a sharer starter, 4 drinks and 2 sides for what we got in hindsight unacceptable I should have argued for most of the food to be removed from the bill. Food and anbienc should be renamed Food and Ambulace. The manager sists there watching his CCTV and the owner is raking it in from unsuspecting guests and no doubt pays his staff a pittance so thats why they and the unqualified chef act like this .They need to learn manners. Imagine this lot on a cookery show each week as they would all be evicted on the first eviction date or Lord Sugar would fire the whole lot and ask for a new set of customers.Why are people so dishonest as its theft of you hard earned cash.Dispicable."

"There were two of us for dinner. We ordered a main and a starter as the two mains, and had specified this to the waiter. Then the starter came 10 minutes later by itself. I told the waiter and he went off to check and didn’t come back. I then had to resay it to the waiter who just went silent as they didn’t know what to do. I asked them to take it back and bring it with the main course I ordered as part of the overall meal. The starter was cold when it came with the main; I had expected a new starter would be done given the issue. The bill had then overcharged for an item. "We called into Bill’s and had a lovely warm welcome . Our waitress was Kris, she was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We went off the lunch time menu , me and my husband both had starters I had Calamari and my husband had the Pate which he really enjoyed, however they were both delicious. "We had recently visited Bill 's in Reading and I said in my review, I shall return! . We had booked a table for 7pm and were greeted promptly and very courteously by a very happy and smiling young lady. The ambience was very warm and friendly. The lighting in particular was set perfectly and made for a very conducive dining Date Night . We also caught the tale end of the early diners with young children and, their presence enhanced the feeling of Christmas approaching as we also looked out onto the immaculate High Street Christmas decorations. The menu has something for everyone; young and old, not overly simple and not overly sophisticated. My partner had the Sea Bass and I had the Fried Chicken. From order to service, on what was a busy Friday evening, took very little time and the food was both hot and well presented. My chicken was a little bit dry and the Brocoli a bit under done but, nevertheless, very tasty. My partner said her Sea Bass was perfect. The standard of food and particularly the service was very good, and like my comments regarding the Reading restaurant, all the staff were Happy! We have found one of our firm favourites in Bill 's and, will look out for one wherever we may travel. We 'll done Bill!"

"GOOD FOOD TERRIBLE SERVICE I was looking for somewhere local to Wembley stadium. I had an overseas guest visiting who had tickets to a Wembley event. There were only 4 tables seated when we arrived. I had to ask could we order after 20 minutes of waiting. Whilst we were waiting for our starters another table (6 guests) were seated, orders taken and served. I chased our order. It took a total hour for our starters to arrive. Thankfully they were worth waiting for. Fresh crisp calamari, although unfortunately I was also given lemon mayonnaise despite advising I could not have any citrus. The cheesy garlic bread was also delicious. Very large portion, but you can imagine we were pretty hungry by this point. Meanwhile 2 other tables (2 guests and 10 guests) arrived and were served. I again chased our order. The table of 6 that arrived after us were served, had eaten and left before our main course arrived. The table of 2 and 10 also had their mains before us. By now were were running short of time and asked that our main course be brought as soon as possible, and not wait until we had finished our starters. That didn't happen. We had to ask again. The spaghetti bolognese was delicious, and would have been perfect with a sprinkling of parmesan, which we weren't offered. The lamb shank was not the best that I have had. The potatoes with which it was served were a little too watery, not the soft peaks that I was expecting. Although I had not been to Gusto before, the review online was positive, whilst warning about the slow service, which is why I allowed 2 hours. It took 2 1/2 hours, and that was with my questioning. It would have been far worse had I not done so. I can't imagine how bad it would be on a busy night. Perhaps that is why it was quiet on a Saturday night. When we went in I was impressed and hoped that I had found a new restaurant to regularly visit. Sadly it was my first and will be my last visit."

"I dined at this restaurant twice recently: once with my husband, and then again with a friend who I had mentioned it to. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The fajitas were particularly tasty, and the white wine complemented the meal perfectly. I was initially unsure about the type of cuisine offered at this restaurant, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try as it has become one of my favorite places to dine. Coventry doesn't have many restaurants like this one, aside from chain establishments, so it is a welcomed addition to the dining scene. While I would love to see dishes like Tlayudas and tamales on the menu, what we did have was fantastic, colorful, and filling. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, and the interior is charming. I enjoyed sitting in the back garden on a sunny day, but the upstairs area is also cozy and colorful. Keep up the great work!"

"My first visit to LayaLina was on Valentine's Day and it was surprisingly quiet with only two other couples present during the two hours we were there. The food was excellent, although we were limited to the Valentine's set menu. The waitress did allow me to order one item from the a la carte menu, but unfortunately one of the dessert options was not available. This was disappointing considering the restaurant's quiet atmosphere and the fact that it was a set menu. The Valentine's set menu was priced at £85 per person, whereas on any other day the same choices would have cost £60 per person. I found the markup to be excessive and unnecessary."
