"For those of you who are struggling for a proper cafe in Colchester, this is for you. Finding a cafe that’s decent anywhere is hard enough but I’ll definitely be coming back. This place will be my go to. Staff were helpful, quick, food was...piping hot, very reasonably priced and on the table in no time. Remember guys just give people extra chips, leave off the hash browns, its still very reasonable! I had a massive “Colchester Breakfast” which is shown below (less the hash browns as I just couldn’t eat it), hot beverage and toast, bargain. I went here with the wife and my daughter and we were all stuffed for around quid. Keep up the hard work. The only minor constructive criticism is to try and be more flexible when people want to substitute certain items or drinks, people won’t mind paying a bit more for what they want. See you next time! "this place is amazing! I have always heard good things, but had never tried to jerk so bad when I like it. but tonight the woman and I decided to go, and I'm so glad we did. the ruck huh is amazing, sweet with a nice grill taste. the fried chicken was beautiful, not fat. the chicken cure was great, reis and exhort great. dumpling and festival were amazing. there was so much to eat. I can't move physically now, but one of the best things I've ever eaten in this city."

"We decided to stop over at this lovely traditional looking pub before we had to catch our coach home. My friend and I needed something to eat before our journey. It is lovely inside, but our experience with the food was dreadful. There wasn’t really...a great deal on the menu that we fancied, so we both ordered the Nachos. They came out cold, stale, and with no cheese. The pulled pork that was meant to be on mine, literally a few flakes), taste surprisingly like tuna. Even that was cold! I think that if I had more time, I definitely would have requested a refund."

"I stopped by for a drink on Thursday night and was not disappointed. We ordered a rum-based cocktail that was a bit different for us, but absolutely delicious! This was followed by another rum cocktail that was also fantastic. Both were reasonably priced, especially with the sharer at £16 and the 2-for-1 cocktail offer. The atmosphere was friendly, and the decor was lovely. Although we only had drinks this time, I definitely plan to return for a meal. The menu looked fantastic, and everything that came out of the kitchen looked great and smelled amazing!"
