"we went to the kings head to celebrate my man birthday. we booked in advance and at first the things were not too bad, but after ordering the food everything went up to the hill! we arrived at 7.30 and at 8.30 we waited for the appetizer I ordered did not indicate that it sits on mayonnaise, so when it arrives, I sent it back because I mayonnaise did not eat. I was then told that another starter would last 10 minutes, so I didn't tell them to worry, and I would stick to it at the top of it myself, a minute later our waitress came with my new starter, which was actually the original that she had just moved to another plate and tried to point out the mayonnaise that it had on her! Therefore I told them that I didn't want it, and hour later our net arrived, which my friends was completely cold and very dry, so it was sent away, they removed net from the bill and told us that a big table they had had caused chaos that affected all the others in the restaurant! would not go back."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that is advertised as a cocktail bar, but actually serves real ale accredited by CAMRA's WhatPub. It is currently located under a set of structures around the corner from Oxford Road Station. They offer a great selection of cask ales on hand pumps and other craft beers on draft or in bottles. CAMRA members receive a generous 25% discount, making the prices very affordable. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of space. The cask beer is in excellent condition."

"We had booked a table and arrived 15 minutes late because we got stuck in traffic. We tried to call to let them know but no telephone number was to be found anywhere. When we got there 1h before closing, the place was completely deserted and they told us that they had already closed the tab and couldn’t serve us anymore. Very disappointing since we had come all the way across town for nothing."

"After dining at this restaurant multiple times in the past, I was disappointed with a recent lunch visit. We ordered one Cod and Chips and one piece of cod on its own, as my wife has a small appetite. While the fish was delicious, the chips were soggy and seemed to be reheated. When it came time to pay, I was surprised to learn that the piece of fish on its own cost the same as the fish and chips. I tried to explain that there should be a price difference, but the staff insisted that they had to charge the same amount. This seemed like nonsense to me. I have reached out to the brewery for clarification, but I don't expect a quick response. Overall, I don't plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon."

"I booked a table for 7 people at 7pm online. I received instant online confirmation as well as an email to confirm our booking. When we arrived the staff said they had no record of the booking. The restaurant was only half full so they were able to seat us anyway. It was a Sunday and we had primarily chosen the venue as their Sunday roast sounded good and was served until 9pm. As we sat down we were told they had run out of Yorkshire puddings. Within 10 minutes they came and took the Sunday menu away and said it was now unavailable but we could still order from the standard menu. My mother in law asked if it was possible to swap chips for mashed potatoes with the pie and was told no, the mashed potato portions were already allocated to other meals. At this point we left. The staff did try and seemed sympathetic but were annoyed when we left as they had poured out a couple of the drinks order. The restaurant looked like a good place it was a nice setting but the menu was expensive and other diners could be heard complaining they had been waiting a long time even though they weren't busy. We were understandably really disappointed with the whole experience."

"I made a reservation for a table of 7 at 7pm online. I received immediate confirmation online as well as an email to confirm our booking. However, when we arrived, the staff mentioned that they had no record of the reservation. Despite the restaurant only being half full, they were able to accommodate us. We had chosen this venue primarily for their Sunday roast, which we heard good things about and is served until 9pm. Unfortunately, when we sat down, we were informed that they had run out of Yorkshire puddings. Shortly after, they took away the Sunday menu and said it was no longer available, but we could still order from the regular menu. At this point, we decided to leave. The staff did make an effort and seemed understanding, but appeared annoyed when we left since they had already started on a few drinks. Other diners were also heard complaining about long wait times even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the entire experience."

"I visiter here with a friend recently ,all i can say is .what a incredible bar /restaurant. Frome the moment you walk through the door the vibe is relaxed and the interior is incredible with its rooftop level and outside orangery with retracting roof in summer is awesome.The bar has a great choice of alcholic and non -alchoholic drinks and the cocktail list is immense .The food menu is exotic and the choices of dishes always cooled to perfection, In all muse is a great venue for a family meal ,couple meal or even just a drink. Part of the muse complex is the ANNEX which is a private function venue available for private hire which really does have the wow factor .In summary the friendly staff amd managment combined with the beautifull tasty food amd interior design is a credit to saddleworth .recommended ."

"We had left Dolly's Tea Rooms across the road as we were very disappointed in them (see review that I left! We only noticed Zest Café Lounge as we were driving away, and decided to call in. How lovely! Very attentive waitresses and good snack type menu choices. The table was cleaned as soon as we sat down although we were told it had been cleaned already. Didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Everything was very fresh, and really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed eating at this friendly little cafe. Well definitely be back!"

"The atmosphere is fantastic, with a truly unique English-style pub vibe. Unfortunately, the food and table service fell short of expectations. The waiting staff seemed to operate at their own pace, making us feel guilty whenever we requested something like water or wine. It was also hard to identify who the staff were in the restaurant. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with an incomplete meal and inedible food, we were told that no one else had complained that day, with no offer of an apology. As noted in other reviews, several menu items were unavailable during peak hours. The food itself was disappointing; the potatoes were undercooked and the meat was tough. It's such a shame because I really wanted this to be a special occasion. It has the potential to be an exceptional place, but we won't be returning."

"ONCE AGAIN ! a pub with no Beer absolutely no Ale whatsoever SERIOUSLY, this is a massive pub and owned by Youngs brewery and everyone there is very upset, however this is a regular occurrence in this pub, yet it has around 8 Ale pumps. It Can’t be a couple of weeks since it last time it was totally without beer, what’s the point in driving to a Pub it’s a half hour round trip for me, to have a pint of beer when it’s proven so unreliable people just go to the multiple pubs in the area that employ managers capable of keeping at least one beer on tap ! I approached a person regarding this with a major attitude problem, sitting at a desk, to ask why this keeps happening says he one of the managers but flatly refuses to give me his name !!! Seriously, no wonder the place is so utterly disorganised. Rather than be accommodating and apologetic for the inconvenience (having driven for 15 minutes to get there for a nice pint chose to tell me I was lying. It turns out that he is the deputy manager behind Tom not on property. I felt this behaviour very strange so I took my camera phone and said ok, took a picture and said I will post it… he stood up and started to threaten me if I was to post it he would….!!!! I left the property with a view to raising this with the Police. They have spent a fortune on this property under the control of a French manager who did an amazing job in improving the property something of a disaster that through the the non existence of any management capable of running it properly will end up a waste of a lot of money."

"Whilst the food was nice and reasonably priced, the service left a lot to desired. We had a table booked for 8pm all as we’d expect by this point. We ordered a pint of Stella and a glass of lemonade plus a jug of water for the table, so nothing too exotic or taxing to prepare. 15 minutes later our drinks arrived, minus the jug of water and our food order was taken. So it’s now just a few minutes after 8pm and we order, again nothing to difficult, just 2 sirloin steaks; one medium and one rare. Fast forward a while to 9:20 and our food still hasn’t arrived, neither has the jug of water we ordered 1 1/2 hours ago. Now I don’t expect to be eating within 5 minutes of sitting down but neither do I expect to be waiting 1 1/2 hours for my first course. I called a waiter over to ask if he could find out how long our food was likely to be and it must’ve been some kind of divine intervention because within about 10 seconds our food was on the table. I decided to risk it and ask for another pint of Stella, big mistake. We ate our main course and our dessert was brought out about 5 minutes later. Luckily we had the foresight to order dessert at the same time as our mains. We finished our desserts at no great pace, just relaxing and chatting while we ate and still waiting for the beer I’d ordered which never materialised. Paid the bill and left around about 10:20. Whilst the venue was pleasant as was was the food, the service left little to be desired. Will I go back? Perhaps, perhaps not. We left satisfied with the food but very disappointed with the service."

"beautiful staff and good food. only something I would comment is missing from signage for the first visitors it is not obvious that the parking is a way system unless they use google cards no arrows on the road or exit on this way". toilets are a bit hard to find if they don't ask the staff to instruct. other wise it is a nice place to go for a meal."

"I recently had one of the best brat dinners I've ever had at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially towards our one-year-old baby. The pork belly roast was mouthwatering, and the sides were amazing. Make sure to ask for extra gravy, as it is delicious!
