"I booked a table for 7 people at 7pm online. I received instant online confirmation as well as an email to confirm our booking. When we arrived the staff said they had no record of the booking. The restaurant was only half full so they were able to seat us anyway. It was a Sunday and we had primarily chosen the venue as their Sunday roast sounded good and was served until 9pm. As we sat down we were told they had run out of Yorkshire puddings. Within 10 minutes they came and took the Sunday menu away and said it was now unavailable but we could still order from the standard menu. My mother in law asked if it was possible to swap chips for mashed potatoes with the pie and was told no, the mashed potato portions were already allocated to other meals. At this point we left. The staff did try and seemed sympathetic but were annoyed when we left as they had poured out a couple of the drinks order. The restaurant looked like a good place it was a nice setting but the menu was expensive and other diners could be heard complaining they had been waiting a long time even though they weren't busy. We were understandably really disappointed with the whole experience."

The service was pleasant and thre food of a good standard pub style. There was a friendly busy atmosphere we would go again. Good value.

The staff were very good, and flexible as we had guests arriving at different times. They were attentive to the kids (aged 13 and 7). The food was good and the outdoor area is good for children.

This pub/hotel restaurant has had a contemporary makeover and provides honest local food at a good price. There is plenty of choice on the menu, including daily specials, and a good wine list. The beer battered fish and chips were delicious other favourites were the home made lasagne and steak burger.

Have eaten here before at lunch time so thought we might try for tea time. On arrival we were told a third of the menu wasn’t available which gave us second thoughts about staying. We were told no Sunday roasts no steaks no burgers no hake no mussels no chicken strips which left us disappointed as we were meeting family and had recommended we eat here View menu

We got there and the waitresses just ignored us, so we had to grab their attention to let them know we had a booking and whether we could just choose a table. When we went to order two of the waitresses were having a domestic in front of us. After taking my order the waitress walked off when my friend still needed to order and again had to walk around the bar to say we still had an order to make.

This B&B offers a fantastic weekend getaway for the price of 105. The cooked breakfast was delicious, the restaurant and bar were great, and the service was excellent. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well decorated with nice amenities. The food quality was top-notch with a variety of options on the menu. The bar was lively, so expect some noise if staying over the weekend. Overall, a great place to stay with a friendly atmosphere and enjoyable dining options.

Visited the Anglesey Arms for an anniversary meal. Waiting on staff clueless! When asked what is served with the chicken dish....she replied not much really! Seated at a table and then asked to move as it had been reserved. Table next to us waited 30 mins for rice pudding still uncooked when it finally arrived. Dining room staff need clear direction training and educating on the menu. The food was ok. Nothing special. Expected much better quality. Access to smoking area is right through the middle of the restaurant.... The Anglesey Arms are trying to do everything hotel restaurant pub sadly not very well. View menu

Very disappointed. I had previously heard very good reports but we had not been there for a while. The staff were lovely but the service was exceedingly slow to the point that it took about half an hour to be served, after a reminder, the “While You Wait” bread and cod goujons, the latter were huge chunks of cod in batter and more like a main course. They forgot to bring the water. No one seemed to be in charge of managing the staff, there was no sign of any maitre d’. It took ages for the main course and desserts to arrive and, when they did arrive, they were really not worth the wait at all. We will not be going again unless things improve.

I would give this place 5 stars because it has great potential. The building and beer garden are lovely with ample outdoor seating. The food was really fantastic with large portions and delicious flavors. However, there are areas that could be improved: 1) the bar floor was sticky at 7pm on a Sunday 2) we had to order food for the beer garden at the bar instead of having service in the garden 3) the bar staff struggled to run a tab, which meant we would have had to pay multiple times for food, dessert, and drinks. We decided to only pay once and then leave. 4) there were rowdy guests in the beer garden that were disruptive and nothing was done about it 5) we had to bring our own drinks and c...

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
