"that was the best meal I had eaten in the limits. it started nicely with the common fish plate that was amazing and it seemed as if the trout was a wild, not bred. the steak perfectly cooked with cafe de paris butter, which makes it to perfection and chips to die. the finale was a dessert in the sky. I had the choice of desserts and everyone was a taste feeling. would recommend this restaurant and I hope to go back here."

"You can tell how good an Asian restaurant is by whether the local Asian community frequent it. Chai Station is a go too restaurant. Only serving Veg and Vegan food it's a rare find. No alcohol but you can take your own. All the food is prepared to order and we'll worth the short wait, 5 mins for us. The owner and waitress were both helpful when it came to choices, of which there are many, even carnivores will find many dishes they'll love. Eating out for less than £20 a head is rare these days, add food of this quality as well, you'll probably see a Dodo first. Many thanks, Nick."

"I have tried a few vegan churros recently, they have a little dissatisfied, but tortillas vegan churros were amazing! they are served with a vegan chic-nut sauce and a generous sprudel of zimt. they are just amazing! the churros were exactly the right softness/cream and combined with the delicious sauce and cinnamon they were just perfect. best vegan churros I have tried and excited they are on a chain, so I can just get more!"

"I'm not sure if they've switched suppliers, but the food just doesn't taste as good as it used to. The milkshakes used to have delicious chunks of strawberries, but now they're more like a McDonald's milkshake. The staff is fantastic and the restaurant is still worth a visit, but it's not quite up to the same standard as it used to be."

"The attached pub had a cozy atmosphere with lovely decor. The food was exceptional, accompanied by a nice selection of wines. Although it was slightly pricey, I felt the quality justified the cost. I started with a prawn cocktail that was generously filled with prawns and tasty accompaniments, followed by a homemade cottage pie featuring fresh minced beef, topped with creamy, cheesy potatoes. For dessert, I enjoyed a delightful creamy salted caramel ice cream, although there were even more indulgent options available. I finished with a rich cup of coffee. I slept soundly in the very comfortable bed with good quality sheets, though I would have appreciated pillow protectors. The breakfast matched the quality of the dinner—great ingredients well prepared—except for the poached eggs, which were lukewarm in the center, likely pre-cooked and not warmed long enough. I often feel frustrated when a place is so close to excellence but falls short due to a few missteps. For example, the room was cold upon arrival, as the underfloor heating hadn’t been pre-heated. The receptionist pointed out the controls, but everyone knows it takes time to warm up. I also encountered a leaking shower, which spilled water over the floor. After dealing with the mess, I discovered a sign hidden behind the soap dishes indicating the shower tray had a plug and could overflow. This concept of a shower tray being a plug was new to me, and I believe the management should consider replacing it with a drain-only system, as the water stains on the floor suggested this had been an issue before. After driving 400 miles and feeling exhausted, this was not what I wanted to deal with. Another minor annoyance was the flashing white lights from the smoke detector, which disturbed my sleep twice during the night. I mention these points in the hope that management will address them to ensure future guests have a flawless experience. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! The rooms were beautifully designed, and the quality of the food and drinks was outstanding."

"Bad tasting coffee, and not professional baristas (my cortado came out like a latte.. . Food is average and service is very odd, they are on their phone or talking to each other and would give me food without cutlery, me standing there the whole time waiting for my drink which they put on the other side instead of giving it to me, just very awkward the whole situation."

"my partner and I visited restaurant ours last night Friday 21. juli. we had a great time. we had 7 courts between us and no one disappointed. all we have ordered was not what we had expected; it was better. I had expected it was a bit pretentious, but it wasn't. there was a great ambiente. good music in the background. service was the best flight. all employees were very attentive. the happy guy on the recipe. respect before mo the maitre d. he made the experience for us. he knew his witness. he could explain the menu in detail as it is something on the vague side. for anyone who was not with ours, it is modern European kitchen with tapas twist. all dishes are for exchange and they advise 4-5 dishes per person, but our 7 were plentiful as we wanted to save space for dessert. I highly recommend ordering the caramel doughnuts for dessert. they were immense. also take a photo into the glass tunnel entrance and the flower wall. the restaurant is not cheap, but it was worth every penny and it was a special occasion for us. of me, he, we, thank them ours. we will be coming back"

"So I gave this review 3 stars because I really do want to try and be fair with this review. Read on if you want an honest and fair review when dining as a couple at Sheesh Chigwell. To begin, we arrived dead on the time of our table reservation and was told the table wasn 't ready and to take a seat and have a drink. That was fine as the outdoor seating area is heated, however I don 't know how pleasant this would be during the winter months. The member of security staff at the front door was very polite and greeted us in a professional manner referring to us both as Sir Madame nice. Our table finally became available around 20 minutes past our reservation time. We ventured inside and were taken to the back where it was slightly more quiet, as many of the guests that evening being as though it was a Saturday night) were quite rowdy. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine which was £50 £12.75 at Morrisons we used Google) and then ordered our food. The lobster spaghetti starter was delicious and my wife 's halloumi was cooked to perfection. No complaints on the starter front. The main course ... well let 's just say the monkfish ain 't worth another £50 considering it was served still swimming in water and what I would describe as 1 skewers worth ' of fish. The rest of the plate was made up of salad... loads and loads of salad. I also ordered. side of truffle cheesy chips which had a sprinkling of cheese on it and were not great for £34. My wife did not enjoy her chicken shish and when I tasted it, I had to agree it wasn 't great. Dessert was on the house thanks to our anniversary which was a nice touch. Service was alright, the waiting staff were pleasant enough but I didn 't feel the need to tip as they didn 't really heighten our experience so to speak or do anything that you wouldn 't expect... plus, let 's have it right they are charging £50 for a bottle of wine which you can get for just over a tenner, so it 's not like they 're not already earning a few quid. The atmosphere was also alright, bit dark in there but the ambience was nice. Overall, it was all a bit meh considering the hype on social media, but I suppose that 's just it .. the hype is what keeps people coming. Not the food or the service. The longer the likes of Joey Essex keeps rocking up and telling everyone on Instagram about it, the longer they will charge you £34 for a side of chips. We won 't be returning simply because it 's massively overpriced for what it is and there are other restaurants of a similar calibre elsewhere in Essex which are more fairly priced and offer a wider range of selection on the menu and better food in general."

"During our recent visit to Newquay, Cornwall, we had the pleasure of dining at Rebellion Restaurant, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for our family. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and polite staff, who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively yet cosy, creating the perfect setting for a family meal. The decor had a modern edge, with just the right amount of charm to make it inviting without being overwhelming. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the space comfortable and appealing for all ages. As for the food, it was nothing short of excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a classic burger and fries, succulent beef brisket, and deliciously tender pork belly. Each dish was cooked to perfection, with flavours that were rich and satisfying. The burger was juicy and well-seasoned, paired with crispy fries that were impossible to resist. The beef brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a smoky flavour that highlighted the quality of the meat. The pork belly was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of crispy skin and tender, flavourful meat. The service was exemplary throughout our meal. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace. They were especially accommodating to our young family, making sure that everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. Overall, we left Rebellion Restaurant very satisfied and with full bellies. It's a place that not only delivers on great food but also excels in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Newquay, whether you're looking for a family-friendly spot or just a great meal in a fantastic setting. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Cornwall!"

"After reading so many mixed reviews, I was careful about eating in pea porridge, but it didn't have to have been. in consideration of the fact that the restaurant is raised in a prominent residential area of the market city, it goes without saying that it would not...be possible to have a parking space, but there are many parking spaces close to it. the ambiente was warm and extremely welcoming. the personal was friendly and courteous and could not be mistaken at all, the service was excellent. eating was absolutely amazing and I have never tasted such aromen that were perfectly mixed together. from huge olives and flatbread small plates to lamb kofta with tzatziki and fish soup starters to venison and wild bass with a selection of beautiful desserts it was all perfect. it was not necessary to be aside courts and the personal was really helpful when deciding whether to have side needs (here never eaten before) I am not sure why people write such negative reviews and it seems that people are confusing on what a michelin star is based: the quality of the ingredients, cooking techniques and, above all, taste. we found the whole experience perfect and thank them pea porridge for so amazing culinary crafts we will definitely be back!"

"On arrival (mid week) incredibly slow at reception. We actually took 15 minutes to check in. The bedroom was beautiful and we were happy with the room We went for dinner and again despite a mid week it was almost 30 minutes for someone to take a food order and ages for drinks to arrive. The food was ok but my steak was rare when I asked for medium. The staff were all very polite but just unfortunately very slow and very short staffed. 1 person on a bar is not enough and that was their excuse for 15 minute wait for a drink to arrive. Breakfast again took a while because they said they had a table full to serve first. There were only us and one full table in the whole place. I'd hate to think if it was actually busy. Such a nicely decorated place. It would make a huge difference if there were more staff covering things. We would stay again but only because the rooms look great but customer service needs some work."

"4 of us went for breakfast including a toddler. We were shown to a booth but a polite waitress and asked if we needed a highchair. We ordered coffees and a freshly squeezed orange juice which arrived promptly and was delicious. All the food was exceptional and the ingredients were all fresh and of high quality. We were too full to order them, but definitely will be returning to try the buttermilk doughnuts! There is a public carpark situated behind that is free on weekends and a 30 second walk that has plenty of parking. Would highly recommend a visit to Toast!"

"We pre-ordered a Valentine's brownie box from Hatters for Saturday pick-up. The link provided on Facebook was easy to use. The staff, who are always busy, were friendly and polite, and the pick-up process was quick and easy. Thank you! The brownies were delicious! We have also tried their afternoon tea boxes in the past, and they were amazing. Great choice!"

"An utterly delicious restaurant, in a stunning part of Berkshire. Three courses for £48 without a supplement. The service were attentive without being intrusive. The three courses were all delicious, the highlight being the creamy tiramisu. The crab pasta is also fantastic, alongside the grilled sea bass. They also have excellent sommelier wine glasses, all the better to drink out of! A treat for any occasion. Food: 5"

"I've written many glowing reviews for this restaurant, but my experience yesterday was a bit disappointing. If nearly raw cabbage and lukewarm custard are the new trends in cuisine, I hope we can move past them soon because they simply don't appeal to anyone! However, these are minor issues compared to the sneaky tactics used to lighten my wallet. We were offered the lunch special menu at £30 for three courses, which we chose since it was 4:45 PM. But when the bill arrived, we were charged £35. Apparently, that's the evening price, so please don't present us with a menu that’s not applicable! On top of that, there’s a service charge. While it's rarely acknowledged, I believe diners should have the freedom to decide when and how much to tip, without the awkwardness of having to request its removal if the service or food doesn't meet our expectations. Better yet, Gusto, consider giving your staff a pay rise! Despite my little rant, I genuinely enjoy this place and will likely return."

"Firstly I was greeted with an abrupt “what do you want?” I then ordered and I have never had someone be so rude just listening to an order. The lady then gave me my tea (which tasted like water). My friend then ordered and the woman started waving her hands in her face because she was distracted. The lady threw the spoon with the order number down in front of her. My other friend then ordered and wanted an extra hash brown with her fry up and asked for no mushrooms, and was told she wasn’t allowed to make this many changes at the weekend. The woman was then just shouting at all her staff and being rude to so many customers. The food wasn’t that good either. I was completely shocked by the customer service in this place. The woman was also shouting at the young girl serving, who couldn’t have been any older than 16 years old. I’m giving a very generous 2 star rating!"

"We have eaten here for at least 16 years or more on our frequent visits to Suffolk. The food is superb and innovative and far surpasses some Michelin restaurants we have eaten at. I require gluten and dairy free food and they always go the extra mile to ensure everything is fine for me. What impresses is that they offer at least 3 desserts catering for my dietary requiements and they are always different and unique. In most places I just get offered vegan ice cream or sorbet we think that the prices charged are very reasonable when you consider the time, the best ingredients and presentation involved. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. We think it's the best value restaurant in Suffolk."

"Disappointing. My son raved about this place as he is a regular patron, so we decided to take the family along for his birthday. Nice ambience, but quite cramped table. Ordered food and drinks. Drinks took ages to arrive and then only half of them, had to wait another ten minutes for the others. Starters arrived and two of them were wrong, so they had to go back and we had to wait for the two correct dishes to be cooked and delivered. Then we had to wait a further 50 minutes for the main course to arrive. We was told on numerous occasions that the mains were just being plated up but that took over 15 minutes, and even then my Calzone didn 't arrive for a further five minutes after all the other mains. Kudos to the staff/managers I could see them going mental in the kitchen about it, but when my Calzone did arrive it was incredibly doughy and undercooked, I ate about 2/3rds of it as I was hungry, but left the rest, mentioned it to the, what I assume was the manager, she took it away and I could see the kitchen staff performing an autopsy on it, but they didn 't come out and give me a verdict. Still was charged full price for it. Will not be returning. Lots of better Italian restaurants in the area, even some of the chain restaurants are better than this.. Felt sorry for my son and he kept apologising to me and saying it 's not usually like this , so didn 't make a fuss as it was his birthday why should he apologise for a bad restaurant experience? Doubt the restaurant will reply to this review as they tried to distance themselves/ignore the issues that were very apparent."
"We visited for the first time this morning. We went for brunch and discovered that The Bake House has a remarkably varied brunch menu. We both chose from their loaded sourdough range. My wife had a veggie version and I had the Mexican version with added chorizo. These were substantial, to the extent that I commented to our server that when they say loaded they really mean it. Both were well presented and delightfully tasty. I couldn 't finish mine. The service was charming and the place has a wonderfully warm, friendly atmosphere. We 'll be back."

"Turned up twice during our stay in Hammersmith. Both times without reservations (don’t be disappointed! This is a popular place so book ahead! . Luckily we were early enough to get a seat. My wife and I each had the full breakfast (on Saturday, it’s a brunch so a bigger serving . Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. There were families there with small kids so a great mix of customers. Only comment is that both times we ate there, the food was not as hot as I’d like it…it wasn’t cold, just could have been warmer."
