"You know, it's funny. I'm not really a fan of cookies. I can easily pass by other popular cookie shops without a second glance. But there was something about this place on Princes Street that caught my attention. It must have been the enticing smell that drew me in. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by the heavenly scent of fresh cookie dough. It was irresistible! I couldn't resist trying a few different flavors, all in the name of research, of course. The cookies were all amazing, with a soft, chewy texture and a deliciously indulgent center. If you're a cookie lover, this is a must-visit spot in Edinburgh. Pair it with a milkshake from a nearby shop and you're in for a fantastic day!"

"I absolutely love bens cookies, my boyfriend and I come to bens very often for their delicious treats, however; today I went in and the customer service wasn’t good at all. This can be forgiven as everyone has bad days but I asked for cookie...dough ice cream, when the lady gave me my ice cream it was brownie flavoured. I asked ‘what flavour is this’ as I was pretty sure it wasn’t and she said it was cookie dough and walked away. She lied, it wasn’t the flavour I asked for and I was left with something I had payed for but didn’t want. Ended up throwing it away. Nothing against the products, they are amazing but I’d appreciate getting the right product, especially after I’ve made the effort and double checked."

"I have been a loyal customer of Ben's for many years in Asia (Seoul and Bangkok) and typically visit the Covent Garden shop to buy my cookies. However, my recent experience at the shop was disappointing. The staff, especially the manager, seemed unfriendly and unprepared. When I arrived at 10:05am (the shop is supposed to open at 10am), I expected all the cookies to be ready, but some variants were missing. When I inquired about how long it would take, the manager responded with excuses like "we just opened the store." In my opinion, every good baker should wake up early to ensure everything is ready for customers, but it seems that Ben's staff do not adhere to this practice. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"You can find Ben 's Cookies in the covered market by following the smell of freshly baked chocolatey goodness. The small cookie shop is tucked away on the High Street end of covered market, and offers a creative selection of in-store baked melt-in-the-middle cookies, which are a cross between a cookie and a cake. Time your arrival and you may be lucky to be treated to a warm cookie with a cup of milk. My personal favourites are the white chocolate, triple chocolate, chocolate and orange, and the classic milk chocolate. Each has it 's own richness and flavour, and taste best when warm, but delicious still when cooled. There are healthier options for those who are that way inclined, such as oatmeal and raisin. The cookie is weighed and served in a paper bag, with a Quentin Blake illustration of Ben. If you 're feeling super indulgent, you can buy a tin of four or eight cookies for a fixed price. The great thing about the Oxford shop is that you can be served by the legend, Ben, himself! In his words, Oxford is the original! He has a beautiful knowing smile and will brighten up your day alongside the cookie :"
