"I never normally write a review, let alone give a bad one, but due to my very bad experience, I felt it was necessary to write a review. I visited giggling squid a couple of years back and enjoyed my meal, so for my birthday my partner took me to the giggling squid on Friday 28th of April 2023. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao meal, unfortunately my second visit this time left me suffering from extremely bad food poisoning in the early hours of the following morning. I contacted the restaurant later that day, and spoke with the manager, who was apologetic, took my contact details and informed me that head office would be in touch that week. I've had no contact since. After posting a review on google. The manage at Farnham restaurant, replied confirming that such cases (Food Poisoning) are taken seriously and that their head-office will be contacting me that month in April. Two weeks into May 2023 and still no contact from the so called Head office. I am appalled that the restaurant feels the best way to deal with Food Poisoning is to ignore it."

"we were looking for Google maps for vegan friendly restaurants in bath, which were different from burger etc. we came in here. we got a selection of seating options that have opted for a beautiful window table. the decor is beautiful and light. the staff was very friendly. for the starter, we had the cunning bubbly faggot that was beautiful. the vegan starter was the spicy mushroom larb (serves cold, very spicy very tasty, the aromen were wow). for the net we had the lammage in a beautiful soße kokosreis. the vegan porn was the Thai green curry sticky rice, both excellently packed with so much taste. for dessert we had the melting chocolate pudding with milcheis Irish coffee. a gem of a restaurant in the centre of bath"

"Albion’s has become our family’s go to restaurant of choice for breakfast, brunch and family dinners. We are always greeted warmly and tables arranged to suit that day’s requirements. It is particularly nice to be able to sit in the back garden area when the weather permits. We have been up and down the various menus and have found the standard of both ingredients and cooking very high. Our grandchildren especially enjoy the deep fried (real) fish fingers and the mussels, whilst the rest of us have enjoyed almost everything else, with the chicken salad and the butternut squash risotto being worthy of a special mention. The desserts, particularly the Eton Mess, are so good that they are selected even when not needed for nutritional purposes. We enjoy a range of drinks, without yet having really got to grips with the wine list, although their Malbec is very “slippery”! Overall I highly recommend it for family dining."

"We came in when it was pouring outside and the staff were all very nice and led us to a table. I had a really good massaman curry, the best I had ever tasted! The roti on the side was also very good. They had a separate vegan menu, which makes things easier! The only thing was that they didn’t have any of the vegan starters listed on the menu in stock."

"the service was incredibly slow not the fault of the staff, but there were not enough people on duty penny penny pinching by the administration that I suspect. the food was in order, but not deserved the price. the whole nice room had been hired to a private party so that table and ambiente were not nice. all in all, quite badly worth and not pleasant. the staff was very friendly, so I stress that it wasn't her fault."

Had Jasmine Tom Yum rice to go with mains. Really good portion sizes and amazing flavours in the food"

"great food, friendly staff and decor. alana, great work, keep it up. we were great within seconds after the entrance of the door, they could even postpone our booking as we were early. starter came fast and tasted absolutely amazing. we couldn't blame them in the least. our net, that was the smetterling pad thai was also something I would recommend. perfectly dimensioned, tasted from this world and something I would order again and again. the only thing I was disappointed was not getting a cold, but my partner did. the puddings were also brilliant, the chocolate exploded with taste and really satisfied that sweet tooth I had demanded. all in all we loved our experience and felt that our server alana was 10 out of 10. she helped us in our order, had a brilliant presentation and offered us an amazing customer service. the only one I was not satisfied with was the service fee that was added without warning. there may have been signs that I did not see, but I only found out when I was flipped and said that this was added automatically."

"The service at this restaurant was fast and welcoming, the establishment was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. It provided a delightful atmosphere for dining. They had a diverse array of wines, spirits, and delicious virgin cocktails. The Kwai Thai Ale was particularly recommended, as it was light and refreshing, making it an ideal match for spicier dishes. "First experience eating at giggling squid after coming highly recommend from a close friend they did not disappoint. The service was to a high standard, and the delivery of the food was quite prompt. The atmosphere was really nice and as we went for lunch was not crowded. Unto the food... Amazing original Thai flavours, you have to try the fried squid probably the best squid I've had hands down. Would definitely visit again but great value for money for a quality meal."

"Visiting Salisbury for a party and stayed for an extra night. Staying in a local hotel and looking for a Sunday evening meal. Found this place on the internet and so glad we did. Nice cosy restaurant, lovely, helpful staff and sublime food. Incredibly impressed with our meals, cooked fresh and if we hadn't been full we would have ordered again. So happy to discover there is a Giggling Squid in our home city. Will be regular visitors that's for sure."

"We booked over the phone as online it said it was fully booked. When we arrived there seemed to be a problem seating us even though there were a few tables available. We were told we’d be seated upstairs. We were shown into an empty , cold space which we refused to be seated in, the waitress was saying something about the tables downstairs were reserved. I explained I had an email confirmation of my booking. We were then seated downstairs. The head waitress came over to say we should have said if we wanted to sit downstairs when we booked. We were never given the option and how would we know there was a choice having never seen upstairs before. No apology. She just said next time you should say. The starters were very tasty, the mains extremely bland, which is quite disappointing given its a Thai restaurant. The staff were very efficient and friendly. There won’t be another visit."

"One of the best pubs in Stortford, it has a fantastic atmosphere and relaxed vibes. The drink prices are quite reasonable, with a permanent 2-for-1 offer and a student discount on select drinks. "Fantastic restaurant set over several floors, with small cosy rooms off the steep staircase. Large choice at lunchtime from either the lunch or all day menu. The food was all really tasty, would recommended everything we had! That includes Thai red beef curry, Thai green chicken curry, Giggling wings, fried squid and lunchtime 'tapas 'tasters... The staff were all very friendly the service was great. We were hugely impressed with how they handled a sesame allergy one of our party had. From before we booked, when we asked questions about dishes that would be suitable, to on the day itself when they double checked what we ordered. Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Chose to eat at The Clock for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, with a friend. Staff masked, distancing friendly. Sea bass was a first class main dish. Chorizo sweetcorn croquettes were an interesting tasty starter, the fruity Summer pudding finished things off nicely. The maximum number of diners at any time where we were seated was obviously controlled, which was thoughtful impressive I witnessed some local restaurants that were cramming them in encouraging queuing. Feeling comfortable when eating out is important at the moment, and we certainly did so."
