"I never normally write a review, let alone give a bad one, but due to my very bad experience, I felt it was necessary to write a review. I visited giggling squid a couple of years back and enjoyed my meal, so for my birthday my partner took me to the giggling squid on Friday 28th of April 2023. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao meal, unfortunately my second visit this time left me suffering from extremely bad food poisoning in the early hours of the following morning. I contacted the restaurant later that day, and spoke with the manager, who was apologetic, took my contact details and informed me that head office would be in touch that week. I've had no contact since. After posting a review on google. The manage at Farnham restaurant, replied confirming that such cases (Food Poisoning) are taken seriously and that their head-office will be contacting me that month in April. Two weeks into May 2023 and still no contact from the so called Head office. I am appalled that the restaurant feels the best way to deal with Food Poisoning is to ignore it."

"Went as a party of 4 for dinner on our first night of a weekend in Bath after the restaurant being recommended by friends who have dined there before saying it was the best food they had tasted outside of Thailand. So, was expecting great things and boy did it deliver. The sharing platters as starters were amazing, So much flavour and the presentation was top notch. The mains were out of this world. I had Pad Kee Mao it was so good I bought the cookbook to replicate at home. Everyone in our party couldn't say enough good things about the food. The guy serving us was brilliant, great personality, fantastic sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble. Also had a beautiful Buddhist watch you know who you are). If you get the chance go, it's awesome. Just make sure to book in advance."

"Albion’s has become our family’s go to restaurant of choice for breakfast, brunch and family dinners. We are always greeted warmly and tables arranged to suit that day’s requirements. It is particularly nice to be able to sit in the back garden area when the weather permits. We have been up and down the various menus and have found the standard of both ingredients and cooking very high. Our grandchildren especially enjoy the deep fried (real) fish fingers and the mussels, whilst the rest of us have enjoyed almost everything else, with the chicken salad and the butternut squash risotto being worthy of a special mention. The desserts, particularly the Eton Mess, are so good that they are selected even when not needed for nutritional purposes. We enjoy a range of drinks, without yet having really got to grips with the wine list, although their Malbec is very “slippery”! Overall I highly recommend it for family dining."

"The service at this restaurant was fast and welcoming, the establishment was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. It provided a delightful atmosphere for dining. They had a diverse array of wines, spirits, and delicious virgin cocktails. The Kwai Thai Ale was particularly recommended, as it was light and refreshing, making it an ideal match for spicier dishes. The food was cooked to perfection, offering a delightful blend of flavors and just the right amount of heat. The portion sizes were generous and the spice combinations were just right. There is some parking available nearby, but it's advised to allow extra time to find a spot and walk to the restaurant."

"to Jamie's Italian for dinner and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. The food made me very sick, to the point where I suspect it may have been food poisoning."

"Changes over the last few years have left a hole in the vegetarian options. In my mind, this is an expensive place to eat with robotic, emotionless staff. Maybe I came on a bad day; however, there is no excuse when your pricing is on the premium side. Vegetarian options: Last time I came here, I was very impressed. Tonight's visit left me not in the best of moods. Vegetarian options are only available on dishes where they can simply omit the meat option, yet they charge the same price."

"the giggling squid offers not only vegan food, but a very separate vegan menu! the curries were amazing and tasteful and the service was really friendly. only on the bottom was that they had only sorbet as a vegan dessert option and everyone vegan knows that this is the last thing they want to see on the dessert menu)"

"This has to have the best allergy list and access I've known for a restaurant. Having a shellfish allergy and knowing a lot of Thai food has this in regular meat dishes, I have basically stopped eating Thai. Recently I was invited to a birthday dinner and fully accepted I was going for the bland option (sorry I just don't like tofu however dressed up). But the QR code with all the allergens listed was given, I went through all the filters and found, not only was there more than the bland on offer.... Thai red, green and massaman were back on the table for me. It tells you everything including the curry paste ingredients. More restaurants should offer this, instead of making you sign waivers and telling you there's basically nothing we can offer. Nice work giggling squid Tunbridge Wells"

"I went out for a meal with six meat-lovers, secretly hoping that this place would offer vegan options. When I checked the menu, I noticed in small print that it said, “Vegan options available, please ask the staff.” I did just that and was pleasantly surprised to receive a special “Vegan Menu.” It was fantastic to be accommodated so well in a mainstream meat-focused restaurant! I enjoyed a lovely starter, main course, and dessert, plus I chose some vegan wine for the table, which was delicious. I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything at all."

"For the main course, we had a champagne risotto with shrimp. The flavors were so rich and decadent, it was like a party in my mouth. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves cheese and champagne. It's a must-visit for all enthusiasts!"

"my wife and I celebrated our jubilee at the clock. we had the 5-course tasting menu with prosecco. the food was really delicious, very nicely cooked and beautifully presented. the portions were also of a decent size, and we have not left a starving. the restaurant is a nice cozy room, and the personal cared for us. we had a great night and would recommend it very much. total the dinner came to about 100 gbp for 2, including a bottle of wine, so favorable for the opposite and quality."

"I came here with a friend for lunch on a Sunday. I'd booked a table as I wasn't sure how busy it would be, but as it turned out, it was ok. We were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We sat inside in a lovely room at the front with pretty decoration and a nice vibe. We ordered mocktails. Mine was a fizzy take on a pina colada. It was lovely and refreshing. We ordered two starters to share: salt and pepper squid and pork dumplings. They came quickly and were very tasty. For mains, I had king prawn pad thai, and my friend had lamb shank massaman curry. Both were delicious. The prawns were huge! We had pudding: caramelised mango cake, and black sesame ice cream. We enjoyed all of it and left satisfied and not overly full. It was just the right amount for us. The service was good. I don't like it when a service charge is added to the bill automatically, though. Presumably, we could have had it removed, but who wants to create a faff like that? Anyway, we would have left 10%, so it was fine. I really enjoyed the experience and the food, so I will be back."

"The service at this restaurant was incredibly pleasant and attentive, with a very nice atmosphere. However, there were some errors in the timing of the courses, as we received our entrees along with our appetizers despite specific instructions. The octopus was delicious with bold flavors, but the other dishes were disappointing. The gnocchi was bland, the steak tartare was too tomato-heavy, and the lobster and crab tortellini had a thick, fishy filling. The salmon was overcooked, and the halibut was overwhelmed by the mushroom sauce. The souffle cakes were hard, with a berry puree in the middle. It seems that our experience was not typical, as other recent reviews have praised the same dishes."

"The 'Unlimited' tea and coffee only appeared after my husband had to track down a staff member to request it. Despite promises that staff would oversee the day, they were nowhere to be found except for a few young girls serving pre-arranged drinks. When we raised our concerns with the manager, he was apologetic and agreed with our complaints. However, when the owner contacted us, they were condescending and implied that we had not spent enough money to receive the promised service. The owner refused to meet with us in person, stating that it would be a waste of their time on their day off. No compensation was offered, leaving us feeling undervalued despite the substantial amount we had paid. Overall, we do not recommend the hospitality, service, or offerings of this restaurant. They failed to deliver on their promises and did not provide the level of service expected based on their advertised standards."

"I took my daughter for afternoon tea at Woburn Place on a Saturday afternoon and the first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty. Sadly it made what should be either an elegant or cosy occasion a little soulless. The afternoon tea itself was ok except that for the two of us there were three “finger” sandwiches with three different fillings (9 “fingers” in all). The fillings were fairly standard but all the bread was white and didn’t seem to be particularly good quality. The cakes were rather nice and unusual with small triangles of cheesecake. The scones were lovely and crumbly. Good choice of coffees and teas. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I think if they had seated us in the lounge bar area, which we saw other people directed to, it would have been a nicer experience."
