"Expensive, but WORTH IT. I mean, it is not a restaurant anyone would hope to be cheap anyway. First of all, as expected: really good service. The only bad thing is we waited quite a bit between courses. I had the festive menu of: confit Loch Duart salmon, beef wellington, and chocolate and hazelnut parfait. They were all beautifully plated. We got complimentary consomme, delicious butter (from a famous butter maker if I may add), and sourdough bread. In the end we also got chocolate and caramel truffle which was very good. Now the main dishes. The salmon was just okay, until I combined it with a little bit of everything on the plate: cucumber sauce, cream cheese, and wasabi sorbet. The flavours blend perfectly well. But if you like smooth foie gras and crispy chicken skin, I suggest trying the other appetizer since I tried my friend's and it was MORE delicious. The beef wellington was really good, with well seasoned pastry, ham, mushroom covering, and pink fillet. Together with the bordelaise sauce it was stunning. I love coffee, so I ordered the parfait which was really good. The jelly was tiny though. If you love dark chocolate, get the chocolate cremeux."

"I visited this place at lunchtime with a friend who lives in Hull, so she recommended it. There was seating inside, as well as some outside on the street. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere, with piano music playing. We were told we could order by the app, which allows 10% off the bill. Or we could order at the bar. We decided it would be easier and quicker for us to order at the bar. But we were met by a very unwelcoming guy who told us that he didn’t have time to take our order, as he was far too busy. So our only option was the app! Not the best customer service, but anyway we ordered by the app which was fairly straight forward. The food was very nice and we had a lovely relaxing catch up. I would definitely recommend this place also visit again. Despite the stressed out moody barman, the rest of the staff were lovely the service was excellent."

"what makes small brasserie restaurants great? first you have to be happy to find them because they become secrets in your secret box, say the world or do you keep them in a special place only for you? now no, not at this opportunity jill and their staff are talented people, each part of this great grassy works so well. eating is simply fantastic, it is a very Scottish style with fresh local products, cooked with wee bit of the pariser brasserie flair and is served by beautiful people. so from the traditional hearty mess of fishing n chips, and craftsman burger to dress with invention and a home touch (the rory pie)! every time we were with either large groups of friends to small occasions with our young granddaughters, they always let them think how nice it was to eat, how nice the staff was and how tight a ship this place is. it is always nice to visit a strange winter day, listen to a cool soul and r"

"The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasing. However, we noticed that our orders were taken after another couple that arrived after us, so the service could be more attentive. The breakfast we had was delicious. While the menu didn't mention an option for turkey speck, they were willing to add it to our order or replace it with something else when we asked. They also offer soy milk as an alternative option. One negative aspect to note is the restroom, which definitely needs improvement. There was black mold on the walls, the room was very cold, and we even saw a cockroach scurrying across the floor, with the kitchen located right next to it."

"My wife and I enjoyed a lunch with excellent service throughout. Relaxed atmosphere and surroundings added to the positivity of the experience with just one minor negative to prompt a comment. Both of us felt our main courses could have been served ‘hotter’. Some argue that food that is too hot denies you enjoying the flavours of the meal but our personal preference is for food to be hot. We both wish to emphasise that this should not be interpreted as a huge criticism"

"Cambridge Gourmet Grill is the only fully Halal (HMC-sourced) restaurant in the city and offers a variety of options that range from burgers to peri peri grill and curries The good thing about them is their generosity. With large portions, the food is wholesome, hearty...and tasty, and relatively affordable too. They also seem to be super ambitious given both their investment in a Josper grill, and their very own Android app, which offers even more savings. "To celebrate my sister in law's graduation we booked here. We were so lucky with the weather as the sun was shining and it was warm enough to be sat outside for food. They had lots of GF items marked on their food menu. I had the Duck salad which tasted lovely, the duck was nice and crispy and was great for a light lunch. I did want some chips as they were marked as GF but unfortunately they were cooked in the same fryer with other glutenous foods which was a shame."

"A return visit for us. We have wanted to try the dinner menu after having lunch here a couple of times. Overall a pleasant experience with a good range of dishes. Extensive wine list. Comfortable lounge for pre dinner and after dinner coffee. More a hotel restaurant than one with walk ins simply because of the location. Lovely gardens and worth arriving a bit early to take a walk."

"The food at this restaurant is usually good, but one day I ordered a king rib dinner that was incredibly greasy and made me feel sick for the rest of the evening. The opening times listed were incorrect as well, as I arrived in the afternoon only to find that the restaurant was closed. However, they are consistently open in the evenings."

"The Inversnecky is part of Aberdeen's history and landscape! It is a traditional caff with variations on a full breakfast, including a veggie option. Sandwiches, filled croissants, bacon rolls, jacket potatoes, sundaes. I always have beans on toast which has grilled tomato with it simple but affa fine! Service is slways good and the view out to sea is beautiful what ever the weather if it is good though sitting outside with the odd friendly starling is a delight. You can often see dolphins too. I really like the coffee, not too strong but a good flavour. They have milk alternatives. Only gripe would be a lack of vegan options. Easy to stock frozen sausages etc or if they could get deliveries from the Vegan Bay Baker for pastries, croissants and cakes etc I'd be there all the time! (Worth considering as most groups have a vegan amongst them these days) An absolute must do in Aberdeen."

"Perhaps my expectations were high, but the quality and attention to the details of the foods was well averaged. After I enjoyed exceptional Turkish breakfast in Turkey in very simple settings, with high-quality fresh ingredients I had hoped that Yosma could offer a similarly unforgettable experience. But reality was quite different. Many of the dishes were less authentic, and it lacked both spicy and tasteful. Especially the “Kavurma” court was very disappointing as the shavings of salt beef! I won't come back."

"The breakfast was brilliant, really tasty and great value. The service was really disappointed though, friendly staff but just need to sort it out a bit. We ordered 4 breakfasts and soon after 3 arrived. The fourth order was off the menu but we hadn't been told and so had to order again from scratch, and even then the order was wrong despite it being checked twice. Drinks arrived after food and seemed chaotic. A shame really as the food was really really good!"

"Myself and my sister went here for a birthday brunch for me and her Mother's Day gift from my. nephew. The afternoon was lovely. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We went for the bottomless Prosecco brunch which flowed throughout. I would definitely return for this brunch in the future. The set up was cosy and welcoming."

"I came with my brother and the environment was so cozy, our host was so friendly and friendly and we just had the best time the foods can not be given error-free and so cheaply. we received at the end free drinks that were so delicious, but above all unexpected! we really felt welcome to come back, which is as beautiful as it is a local gem"

"I came here on a midweek evening with a friend. It wasn 't particularly busy 3 tables max were occupied. Food I had the special a meat and pasta dish which was unfortunately swimming in its own grease, but it was passable. A late middle aged man was serving, who was helpful and friendly, but was obviously rushed off his feet he may even have been doing the cooking and serving at the same time. A late middle aged woman, who turned out to be the owner, was sat outside with her dog and a friend. Towards the end of our meal, she moved inside. She later turned her hand to waitressing, but this was evidently not her forte. When we 'd finished, our polite request to split the bill seemed to create a massive drama for her, I 'VE PUT IT [THE SUM] INTO THE [CARD] MACHINE NOW , she snapped. After her meltdown, she handed the job to her (presumably) employee, to whom she spoke like he was a dog. I really felt for him. She proceeded to slag us off to her friend, even though we were sat only about 3 metres away from them, in the same (quiet) room. Either she is a bitter individual, or was just having a bad day and took it out on us. Regardless, she had a mare and I would not recommend the place. No problem with the no doubt long suffering guy though."

"We were attracted by the diverse menu and previous experiences and we were delighted. The ambience is warm and friendly. The menu had something for all of us. The attentiveness and enthusiasm of our waiter and colleagues out played that of more exclusive (or should I say expensive) competitors. With excellent explanation of the menu, a positive banter and flexibility with our orders we couldn’t ask for more. The food was delicious and served as we requested. Give Riding House a try, you won’t be disappointed."

"Great café serving a variety of breakfasts, wraps, burgers etc. Dined in to have a breakfast around lunchtime on a Saturday. Service came with a smile and a friendly helpful manner and food was great. Unpretentious surroundings, obviously popular with the locals by the trade it was receiving whilst we were eating. Small café though, so seating limited. Would definitely use again in the future."

"Last meal with our daughter before she starts nearby University, as you can imagine it was a fairly emotional night. We were seated in the bar and ordered 2 portions of fish and chips and a plain pizza, nothing complicated, or so you would of thought. Service was very slow, looked as though there was only a young lad on duty. Food arrived fairly quickly, the fish was extremely greasy and the batter was soggy, the chips were almost at the point of being burnt, and the pizza was swimming in grease, daughter could only eat 2 slices of it. The young lad serving was very busy as we couldn’t get his attention, the hotel restaurant manager just ignored us and walked passed several times. Rather than make a fuss my daughter just wanted to leave. G If your after informal, decent, well cooked food, go elsewhere. Spoilt, what was an emotional night."
