"Christmas Prefix Dinner is Terrible. We just left after having one of the worst meals I’ve ever had especially for the price. First off all, the portions are far too large for two people. Most prefix menus I’ve had at classy restaurants have multiple courses that are much smaller so you can enjoy a wide variety of carefully crafted dishes. To start, the beef tartar had clearly been sitting out because it was dry and stringy. The prawns were in a seaweed soup that made the whole table smell like the sea and tasted overly salty. Then the turkey was roasted to a crisp. So dry and flavorless. The stuffing and sausage tasted cheap and fatty. We also had the portobello and sweet potatoe Wellington. It wasn’t as bad but also nothing special. It all came with an overwhelming amount of carrots, Brussels sprouts (hard and undercooked) and other random veggies. My wife and I are two normal sized individuals so I don’t understand how the average person puts down this much food. Next there was a cheese board that we just skipped entirely to try and save room for the desert. They brought me the wrong desert (ordered the pudding, got the cheese cake) and so we just nibbled on the chocolate torte. Hard to mess that one up and it was decent. Skipped our pudding that was originally ordered because it was taking for ever. The only things we liked were the things we ordered on the side (a nice run mmm rhubarb cocktail and some fresh juice). Overall, I’d say it was a waste of 200 pounds and damped out Christmas Day experience. I wish they would’ve offered to discount the meal as they saw we didn’t enjoy multiple dishes and downright skipped others. Go to a local pub instead on Christmas Day or just skip the prefix menus all together."

I stopped by midweek for breakfast before visiting the British Museum. I didn’t have a reservation, but managed to get a spot at the counter. The restaurant was busy. I ordered the avocado and chard Florentine with a side of smoked salmon. The food was decent.

Great place for brunch, nicely decorated with plants. The eggs royale were tasty and so were the skewers. Their coffee was spot on. However, the open kitchen and the layout of the restaurant can make it very noisy, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff were polite and friendly.

overall: one of the best pancakes i’ve had in london~ great place for brunch, would recommend booking as it’s quite busy. artichoke dip : crispy cheese crust on top. very creamy dip, packed full of the strong lovely flavour of artichoke. the sourdough was toasted beautifully as well. pancakes

Great spot for a brunch (not the wild boozy kind). Restaurant opens up its walls in the summer to allow Al fresco style dining and helping you to keep cool. Decor is stylish and welcoming. Food is high quality and good portion sizes. Service pretty good and pricing… well classic London style really so not great but what you would expect and not excessive.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night and it was amazing! The artichoke dip starter was soooo tasty and the cheesecake pudding was without a shadow of doubt the best cheesecake we had ever tasted! The service from the manager was brilliant as well who was able to advise us on what menu combos were best etc! Wish this was closer to home as we would eat here all the time

Service was good. The girl who served us was super helpful and friendly. I had the deep dish malted pancakes with berries and honestly I wouldn't have them again. Calling them deep dish on the menu was kind of cheeky, they are just normal American style pancakes. I also couldn't taste the malt at all, and they were slightly under cooked and sooo stodgy. Good service, v average food.

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Riding House Cafe. He had a Burgerdict great flavour but served on a very small plate. I had the toasted marshmallow deep dish pancakes with coconut clotted cream. The clotted cream was heavenly I would go back for that alone! Pancakes were fluffy but dare I say too fluffy. They would crumble as soon as I tried to get it on my fork so it kept falling apart. Also not the easiest thing to eat. Overall, service was great, food was delicious and ambience was nice!

Had a week day brunch here and had the mocha coffee which was decent, the veg full breakfast was OK! it came with a few things including eggs (i picked scrambled), halloumi, beans toast and potatoes. The potatoes i got to say were almost inedible. Lacked any taste. Pancakes were alright. Food took unusually long to arrive. Portions were decent and reasonable sizes. Standard central london pricing. Photos of what i ordered are attached. Overall ambience was nice. Lot of seating space but when i called 10 minutes before to check if there was seating i was told only space at the bar or shared tables. However when i turned up i got a normal table and there were plenty of free ones around too. To...
