"Booked online for 6 of us for a birthday meal for my son. Was met by a lady who was chewing gum (not acceptable in a restaurant front of house position) and was not particularly happy (waitress1) She said that there was a wait on food even though we had booked due to people wanting takeaways. We ordered drinks with another lady (waitress 2) who was very pleasant and she bought them to the table. She was followed by waitress 1 with the same drinks who made a point of telling us that waitress 2 had not ticked off that she had served the drinks, (in my opinion this belittling situation was very unnecessary). Even my 17 year old son said it was unfair on waitress 2. We ordered our food with waitress 2. Our food was delivered by waitress 1 and one of the dishes was incorrect. There was no apology and she said she would rectify the error, I waited for a long time for my meal, in fact, some of our group had just about finished their meal before it arrived. The meal was still missing the dressing that I had originally asked for. I was then told that they did not have the dressing that I was originally offered. Waitress 1 came over and asked if all was ok. I explained that we weren’t happy. Waitress 1 offered to take my meal off the bill. We went to the reception area to pay with waitress 3 who was lovely. She presented me with the bill which had my meal removed. Waitress 1 then came over and belittled waitress 3 saying she’d got the wrong bill for us. In fact, she had got the right copy. Waitress 3 appeared to be embarrassed by Waitress 1 behaviour. I paid and we left to have our dessert in a different place. Very disappointing for my sons birthday and we will not be going back. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and my overall opinion was poor customer service which was predominantly 1 member of staff"

"the food was cheap, and the portions were good, the staff was brilliant, cheerful and very helpful. the atmosphere was beautiful, with a view over piccadilly gardens that became better than the night dark. free homemade limonade at the arrival was also a beautiful note and tasted wonderful. the employees gave enough time to choose drinks first, then we left again so that we could choose food orders. the service was fast and the food was hot. the personal did not suggest us at all. so all in all, it was a nice experience, I would highly recommend."

"we went to a laune here while we were in jail and were not disappointed. I was in other cosmos, especially the one in sheffield and knew what to expect. but this one exceeded my expectations. all staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. eating was quickly distributed so it was hot, and of great quality, especially for a buffet. the portions from the live cookery were very generous. the cocos protocols made us feel safe. we would definitely return!"

"Booked online last minute, no problem at all. Was on the busier side but seemed to be plenty of staff and everyone was in a good mood. Food was really nice, we normally go to pizza express and were surprised by the range of options. Only issue we ran into was the ordering via mobile rather than a person as it didn't seem to want to work but the waiter happily did it for us on his tablet. 9 year old daughter has asked that we go again when we're next somewhere with an Ask. Thanks. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (non-gluten) pizza and pasta options available as well as vegan cheeses and gelatos. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options, our daughter loved the pasta dish and the bread sticks woth tomato dipping sauce. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift from car parking to entrance, and all flat with large doors."

Wor lass had a salami misti pizza, she never said a word to me until the last slice, when help was required. Naturally, as a top lad, I consumed the rest of it for her. "A very busy Friday evening in Norwich with the fireworks at I booked the table for of us at arrived and were shown immediately to our table. With a seven year old and a nine year old they enjoyed their meal of pasta, dunk and dip. The waiter was very attentive and dealt with them very well. They enjoyed the meal. Everything ordered came out together in a timely way even though the restaurant was filling up. My wife had a pizza that she enjoyed. Altogether a nice evening meal for generations"

"I went to italia in basingstoke yesterday with some friends. the starter and the drinks were really good, but my pasta court and other girls at my table were unfortunately quite bad (it happened! . worked for many years in restaurants and busy with complaining all the time, I said nothing to our server when she seemed busy and didn't want to disturb her. when the bill came, she took mine and the other girls pasta dishes off when she noticed that we didn't eat them. the girl is petite with long escapes, I just wanted to thank because that was a really nice gesture and her service was so good!"

"The staff at the restaurant was welcoming and it was great to see vegan options on the menu. The kids' menu also offered vegan choices, which was a pleasant surprise. The Vegan Bruschetta, made with toasted pagnotta bread and marinated tomatoes, was delicious and even better than the pizza. It had a fresh and vibrant taste. I would definitely recommend it! We also tried a pizza with Marinated Artichokes, Sautéed Mushrooms, and Grilled Eggplants. The crust was good and the vegetables were cooked well. While the Italian restaurant may still want to consider adding meat options, we were satisfied with our vegan meal."

"Arguably one of Britain’s favourite restaurants but this one is a let down, we waited at the door for a solid 5 minutes before even being looked at which made my kids feel very uncomfortable. When we finnnallly got served we weren’t greeted with the smile you would expect when you are paying for someone’s services. We couldn’t stand this level of customer service so we just ordered online. A redeeming factor is that the online system is easy to navigate and to order from. From ordering online to receiving our food it took 45 minutes and what we got was cold and hard after being left under a heat lamp, and for the prices they charge it wasn’t worth the small flat pieces of cold chicken we got. The service was dismal at best and the cleanliness was very poor. I don’t believe in 1 star reviews so they are lucky to be getting a 2. Don’t go here."

"We have visited this ASK restaurant several times now and each visit has been wonderful. I arrived with a friend who eats meat, but we decided to share the vegan sides (garlic bread, side salad, and roast potatoes) and I enjoyed the spaghetti al pomodoro without mozzarella, which was delicious. We also shared the blood orange and chocolate tart. We will definitely be returning."

"Genuinely the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. It took 3 hours to get food and eat. Getting tap water took 40 minutes and asking 4 plus times. When the pizza did arrive it was so undercooked it was practically raw dough. They did take my pizza back and the cooked one they returned did actually taste nice. They then were rude and wouldn 't even take off a dessert item after we waited 3 hours for undercooked mediocre pizza. When I asked Albian if we could speak to the manager he just said No and was incredibly unsympathetic and rude about our experience."

"I've never walked out of a restaurant before, and I've been to quite a few! Unfortunately, the food was terrible; there was no option for the pasta I wanted, not even the ones listed on the menu. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold, and all dishes had the same pasta with barely any sauce. I sent it back, but it came back microwaved, causing whatever sauce was there to vanish completely! "book a table for by opentable becouse ask italian online booking not working properly and not answer the phone despite rings for a few minutes we sat and then came the manager and asked the booking. he explained that ask italian no longer used opentable. that was very embarrassing. I felt we were not welcome. the man came back and asked for the booking confirmation. fortunately I printed the booking confirmation and could show him this we ordered our starter and net. Unfortunately, the starters did not arrive and one of the main things was missing. the management gave us a reasonable discount without asking, which was polite and respectful although I had given a bad evaluation, I would nevertheless return this to a unique experience, as ask italian has provided a very good service for a family-oriented base restaurant for us in the last few years. it may be due to a change in management at this particular branch. we're going back. If there is a re-creation, we will assume that there is a decline in the service that it traditionally provides and goes elsewhere."

"My husband and I met friends here this afternoon. Luckily we sat at a large table so could spread out and there was plenty of room for all our food and drinks. We enjoyed various starters to share, arrancini balls, king prawns, mushrooms al forno, calamari and chips. Our friends opted for pasta dishes, we all enjoyed our food very much. It was my friend, Madeleine’s birthday, the waitress brought over a tiramisu with a candle, nice touch. We all enjoyed our visit to ASK, in fact the waitress recognised us from last year.
