Fettuccine pasta topped with a rich, savory meat sauce, simmered with tomatoes and herbs for a classic Italian delight.

"As soon as I walked in, we were served two shot glasses of lemonade. The staff were very friendly and we were served by 3 people throughout our visit. I ordered the carbonara and it was served extremely quickly to the optimal temperature. My friend order the sausage pasta and the pasta came al dente its like marmite; either you love it or you hate it. Personally I like it but my friend doesn't so perhaps going forward, they could ask customers how they would like their pasta. Other than that, everything was incredible. In the mens toilet was 1 cubical with tissue stocked and toilet clean. Two urinals, three sinks all working with comfotably warm water, two soap dispensers fully stocked and two hand driers. Everything was lovely. I would highly recommend this place to people. I had the warm brownie and cherries clotted ice cream for pud. Option to order by QR code or by staff. I am very impressed as the restaurant met all my expectations. Highly recommend."

"A busy night because of a music gig nearby and I expect it caused extra pressure in the kitchen. Our starters arrived at very different times, but with an apology. My partners pasta was divine, as was the garlic bread and beetroot and goat cheese balls with chilli dip. Sadly my main was on a stone cold plate with cold broccoli and a little pot of cold sauce. The ‘roast’ baby potatoes were simply boiled new potatoes which had been flattened on a pan to blacken and burn them. Worst still they definitely tasted of fish, I expect that the same grill/implements were used for both. However the actual chicken Milinase was tender, crisp on the outside and very tasty. We had an issue with dessert. We followed the instructions and used the QR code to book the 2 desserts. To save time I paid the bill and added the tip. Unfortunately this closed our tables account and the kitchen had no record of the order. The app does not give you any chance to get a receipt and I was unable to easily prove we had paid. Except my Apple pay said that £102 had been deducted from my account. Eventually, while we were getting the issue sorted another waiter arrived with the missing desserts. I think the QR code idea is fabulous but it was a bit glitchy tonight."

"Prezzo (price) is a good name for this place. Sorry to say but nothing to do with Italian cuisine but prices from different planet. Crab and lobster ravioli unfrozen and bland. Gnocchi with grilled? sea bass and peas?? I got confused if this is English pub or Italian restaurant. No herbs, no taste, so specific for Italian cuisine, was really hungry and haven't finished this. Gnocchi drowned in fat, colour grey. Gross, lack of colours (tomato, peppers, carrots etc. missing), prices shocking high, quality of food shocking low, portions small comparing to other Italian restaurants. I've asked if there's Italian chief and got an answer that is racist to have Italian chief in Italian restaurant????? Absolutely ridiculous. Nice service, disgusting food, never again. For 2 juices (150ml each), one espresso, antipasti (3 small slices of garlic bread no garlic taste or smell, 2 slices of second hand ham and something pretending prosciutto £8.95, to be honest dried tomatoes delicious, olives acceptable), portion of gnocchi with sea bass and peas?? over £19, maybe 10 unfrozen ravioli with no taste over £17, bill over £50 paid and I went to McDonald's to eat something. Avoid and find something with Italian chief to taste Italian cuisine."

"Booked online for 6 of us for a birthday meal for my son. Was met by a lady who was chewing gum (not acceptable in a restaurant front of house position) and was not particularly happy (waitress1) She said that there was a wait on food even though we had booked due to people wanting takeaways. We ordered drinks with another lady (waitress 2) who was very pleasant and she bought them to the table. She was followed by waitress 1 with the same drinks who made a point of telling us that waitress 2 had not ticked off that she had served the drinks, (in my opinion this belittling situation was very unnecessary). Even my 17 year old son said it was unfair on waitress 2. We ordered our food with waitress 2. Our food was delivered by waitress 1 and one of the dishes was incorrect. There was no apology and she said she would rectify the error, I waited for a long time for my meal, in fact, some of our group had just about finished their meal before it arrived. The meal was still missing the dressing that I had originally asked for. I was then told that they did not have the dressing that I was originally offered. Waitress 1 came over and asked if all was ok. I explained that we weren’t happy. Waitress 1 offered to take my meal off the bill. We went to the reception area to pay with waitress 3 who was lovely. She presented me with the bill which had my meal removed. Waitress 1 then came over and belittled waitress 3 saying she’d got the wrong bill for us. In fact, she had got the right copy. Waitress 3 appeared to be embarrassed by Waitress 1 behaviour. I paid and we left to have our dessert in a different place. Very disappointing for my sons birthday and we will not be going back. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and my overall opinion was poor customer service which was predominantly 1 member of staff"

"When did service stop trying to ensure that their customers have a nice time? Met a very rude manager as soon as we arrived. We had been advised by someone during a lunch shift certain seating arrangements were possible that did not apply for an hour later during the dinner sitting. Rather than apologise for giving different information and politely explaining why she was argumentative, defensive and well, were they they the manager? NO, they were not , which I just couldn 't believe was our first 'I 'm right you 're wrong ' encounter before even sitting down. When we ordered she asked if I had any allergies which I do, so she gave me what looked like a 20 page battered listing book of all ingredients of all different dishes and menus which looked very difficult to interpret and quite frankly like it was for staff- not to be given to a customer. Finally when we had ordered and she left us alone we enjoyed our time and our meal. The truffle and mushroom calzone and primitivo red wine were delicious. That 's why I have given any stars. We 're local and won 't hurry back."

"always a winner! from the atmosphere to eating meets this place every time! made immediately welcome by simon and he took care of the rest of our meal, excellent service. the n 'duja teigbälle as starter would recommend enough to share for 2 as long as they can handle a light sharp kick. I had a few different main things, but the one for me must be the lasagne and generous is one must go. if I could give this court more than 5*, I would, great worth for money, can't wait to come back!"

"my friend and I went to the theater and thought so the question would be fast if it was a chain. my friend is coeliac and so she asked about the gluten-free menu. an ordner was opened on the corresponding side and she. ordered the fruit de mer fusilli pasta dish. I ordered pizza and two drinks. the front of the housekeeper murmured and did not seem confident if he was new, I don't know. when he brought the glasses for our drinks, we were both together to see that he had wrapped his hand around the top of the glasses. also pre covid we would not have found it acceptable! we commented on it and drank from the only glass he had not touched. When that came, we wanted to sneak in when my friend noticed a hair on her pasta. she only got it to find it was not on here pasta, but a long hair was wrapped around the spiral of pasta. we called the waiter and she showed him. he apologized and took the court away. then he came by and said that the manager would come to see us. the manager I suspect was the manager for this evening, as what followed was laughing. she said: “I understand that there was a problem with her meal, what was with her?” my friend explained and the manager said: “Oh, right, we will take it off from her bill until now ineffective. then she asked if she wanted to make a replacement, and my friend explained that she had been put off by the hairs. I mentioned how the waiter kept the glasses and she said she had a word with him. my friend asked if there were still gluten-free that they could make fast. Answer “I’m sorry to get you a glass instead.” when they left, we stayed in absolute unbelief. the manager returned a few minutes later to offer the king garnelen in garlic butter. my friend asked if it would be done quickly, to which the manager replied it would be. After 10 minutes I wait to hunt the court that, as I was talking about the manager, turned up. all in all, I would put all the problems on the lack of education. the personal seemed uninterested and more enthusiastic to chat with each other, to serve as customers. it needs a large restaurant manager who hires and trains the personal based table service, hygiene and problem solution. of course we will not be back."

"this is a part of the chain of ask italian to find throughout the U.K., and one would expect that eating is perfectly sufficient (although nothing special) because of it. in that we had eaten in another ask italian in london a week or so earlier, and that seems to eat wherever you decide to dinate. that's not a bad thing. it is always soothing to find a seperate vegan menu, and ask italian has one. while much on the menu looks quite basic, the quality of eating takes the whole experience on a stick. there are the usual pasta dishes, make their own pizza (come with a mozerella style,) a few salads and even a children's menu, of which the latter is really nice to see. this can not be in the area of super advanced vegan Italian restaurants, but we would definitely visit this chain again."

"we went to a laune here while we were in jail and were not disappointed. I was in other cosmos, especially the one in sheffield and knew what to expect. but this one exceeded my expectations. all staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. eating was quickly distributed so it was hot, and of great quality, especially for a buffet. the portions from the live cookery were very generous. the cocos protocols made us feel safe. we would definitely return!"

"I was working in the Ghillie Dhu called in here to get a takeaway coffee. The place had a great atmosphere, the staff were very welcoming friendly. It was pouring outside I wish I could have stayed ate. The guy handed me my coffee and as I went to pay he told me it was on the house to enjoy it. I was taken aback at such a kind act. It actually made my night. Something so simple but yet heart warming at the same time. I’m never in this beautiful city much but I’ll tell you what, I love Edinburgh, the culture most importantly the people. Well done to this guy for making an anxious girl feel wonderful before her gig Xxx"

"We come here regularly, and we are never disappointed. The food is always cooked well and so so tasty!! I have yet to find nachos that taste better. We’ve never had a bad experience with staff either, in fact today Sami went above and beyond to help us even though it was unusually busy for the time of day we came in. Sami attended to everything we needed with a warmth and friendliness that made us feel at ease. When he found out we were short on time he made sure we had everything we needed and served us swiftly, again making it seem like nothing was too much for him. We love Chiquito’s, and service like Sami’s will always keep on coming back!"
"I went to ask in Reigate on Valentine’s Day with my other half and it wasn’t our best experience and most likely will be not returning. The staff clearly didn’t know what tables they were waiting on as we were ask at least 3 times by different staff to order which we had already done. We also ordered olives to our table and they didn’t come till our mains were there which obviously we wanted them before.I was very full up and couldn’t finish my desert when the waitress came over she looked at me funny clearly because I didn’t finish my desert. I said I was full up and she said in a tone ‘ or did you not like it’ which I think is very rude and not how you speak to customers."
"I recently dined at this restaurant and was highly disappointed. The prices were steep, almost £20 per dish and was definitely not worth it. I ordered both mushroom risotto and spaghetti with king prawns. The risotto was incredibly salty to the point where it felt like I was eating pure salt. When I requested a replacement, they took our shared plates, mixed them together, added water, and reheated the same dish, which didn't improve the flavor at all. Not to be mentioned, the king prawns in the spaghetti were tiny and there were a few bugs flying around in the restaurant. I do not recommend this restauran! "Ask is an Italian Restaurant situated in Northampton town centre. It is my favourite place to eat. It offers many pizza and pasta dishes which are so full of flavour. My favourite is the salmon pasta which is absolutely gorgeous. The range of pizza is really good too and you can add extra toppings. I have liked all the Ask restaurants I have been in mainly because the food is so delicious and not too expensive, but also because they have a modern feel to them. It always looks so clean and fresh and the service at Northampton has always been really good. There is a small bar area where you can have a drink and wait for a table although it does sometimes get a bit busy and crowded if there are a lot of people waiting. They do not book tables during the week unless it is for a group of people. The restaurant at Northampton is quite small, although it has some quirky little extra rooms which are nice and intimate and unusual. Nice if you want to sit somewhere a bit quieter or if there is a large group. If you like Italian food then Ask is the place to go as it is delicious food and a nice atmosphere. It is always my first choice of places to eat."

"Ordering a take-away through a popular delivery service my wife and I were not impressed when our starter was missed completely, extra toppings ordered were missing from the pizzas, and the side was missing from one of the desserts. When my wife contacted ASK to...query this, she was told that she had to contact the delivery service as it was not the fault of ASK. When she asked how the delivery could be responsible for the actual making of the pizza ASK responded by simply saying to contact the delivery service. Within 5 minutes someone else (assuming the manager) from ASK called back and when they were told what had been said they told us we must have mis-understood the initial person who answered the phone with no apology forthcoming. Putting the blame of their inadequate food on their delivery service is completely out of order SHAME ON ASK ITALIAN TWICKENHAM"

"well, the teig balls and chocolate torte were beautiful. they have my pizza order wrong. it was still vegan, but I just ordered mozzarella, but my came with tomato and rocket. the cheese itself was beautiful. all in all, very similar to zizzi (they are owned by the same company, so that makes sense.)"

"The pasta and pizza dishes were very good, but a person had pork and it was really not good. He should've complained, but he didn't want to be in trouble. He ate very little and I think the waitress should have asked why he had hardly touched his food. It was probably a bad choice in an Italian restaurant. Service was good and the pig was the only complaint."
"we received a voucher from my father of my fiancé, so decided to book ask last week. we sat down and then offered another table with a window. although she had cramped, she had a view so no big problems. the service was very slow, the restaurant was busy and we had no fast service expected. Although several tables, including a table of 8, had before us (although we had ordered before), we thought they had forgotten us. one of the waiters has apologised. the food was ok, we had the cheese fondu and pumpkin arachni to begin what was nice. we had both pizzas for the porn that was more bland and the desserts (chocolate gnocchi and honeycomb cake) were ok. overall I will probably ask a mistake for future bookings and try out other places in exeter."

"We go quite regularly as it is a convenient place for us three couples to meet and the food is quite good usually. This time though we had a couple of complaints to make, the starter described as on brioche, which three of our party had, was, it appeared, tomatoes on toast. I ordered the butternut squash risotto which really was pretty disgusting, a dish of slop totally unrecognisable in look or taste as rice. It was graciously and with apologies replaced with my choice of the chicken and mushroom risotto. delicious! But we shouldn't have to complain it really isn't nice"

"The restaurant offers a nice variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. However, during my visit, the two vegan dessert options were unavailable, leaving only sorbet as a choice. Additionally, they can accommodate gluten-free and vegan pizza bases, which can be requested through their Allergen folder. Overall, the menu options are available in separate menus for those with dietary restrictions. This review was last updated on September 16th, 2021."
