"Oh my goodness! I don't even know where to begin with this place.. without a doubt, Bangla Kitchen has the worst takeaway food I have ever had and the customer service we experienced this evening was so terrible, it almost seemed like a joke. First of all, the food was so greasy that it was literally dripping out of the foil wraps. Secondly, when we checked our order, we realized that it was incorrect and parts of it were missing. And the parts that were correct were just awful - the meat was dry, there was a butter wrapper left inside the naan bread, and the tikka masala tasted completely different than usual, almost like something from a jar. When we contacted the restaurant to complain, we were met with a yelling, angry man on the phone who offered no apology and continued to shout at us. I was speechless. In conclusion, if you're looking for delicious Indian food with great customer service, definitely steer clear of Bangla Kitchen. I will never order from there again and would advise others to do the same."

"Lamb chops as a starter one of my favs) covered in onions i can ignore this as it's a normal BUT TWO PEICES FOR £6.95.. for real? They added chilli in both veg dishes as requested that was nice but the tarka daal was bland no garlic corinder. Two breads were nice. Disappointed as last order was fab took me a while to find them again after lock down. Delivery very quick. "Following the principle 'good ought to be sought ', we scanned through reviews here on TripAdvisor to look a good Nihari place and found 'Karachi Pakwan '. I called ahead to reserve a table and to get a 'feel ' for the service/people, it went well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nofel as soon as we entered the restaurant and seated. We were pleasantly surprised by the inviting ambience, warm plates, clean cutlery and spotless glasses. (You 'd be surprised how rare the last 3 are at Pakistani restaurants) Our host recommended masala fish whilst we 'd wait for our main which we thought tasted excellent. Our main, Nihari with Kulchas was served at our requested time. The kulchas were fresh and perhaps the nicest we had at any Pakistani restaurant. Nihari was good enough, albeit I did think it could have done with a bit of (fat) trimming. Regardless, the taste didn 't disappoint. We had no room to try their recommended falooda (or even a sweet paan) but we shall in our next visit. The restaurant is about 90 minutes drive from us BUT worth it. Our previous Nihari restaurant (in West Hendon) is half that distance but declining service had costed them our custom of 10 years. We shall be returning to Karachi Pakwan for more."

"I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."

"We had another fantastic Indian meal with fresh and delicious ingredients at Spice 6. However, there were a couple of disappointments this time. The mixed vegetable curry side dish was quite pricey at £5 for a small portion, and the paneer masala lacked seasoning and reminded us of chunks of paneer in tomato soup. Despite these issues, the minced lamb kebab starter, tender lamb in the lamb sag, and tasty chicken jalfrezi were all excellent. We also noticed that the cheese naan seemed to be missing the cheese, or it was barely there. Overall, we were slightly let down as Spice 6 has always been flawless in the past. However, the service was still charming and efficient."

"I called to make a reservation and the phone line was busy. However, they promptly returned my call, which was perfect. The welcome at the restaurant was friendly and welcoming, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. The food was the best we have had in the KT area. "Overall comments: This place was part of our Anonymous dinner rota. We were quite happy during eating and on the day, but the next few days were rough as 3/4 of us were ill. I wouldn’t go again even though the food tasted nice. Go at your own risk as it is good value for money if you can stomach food made in an unclean environment. My order was as follows: Starter(s): Veg Samosa, Hara Kebab, Aloo Tikki Chaat, Chicken Tikka, Side(s): Plain Naan. Food: All the dishes were good and I thought we found a gem. However, 3 of the 4 of us were ill for a few days after. Atmosphere: Music was at a varying loudness. The Seating was not comfy at all. The interior was decent but nothing special. Service: Service was poor. We had to ask for water multiple times and the waiter assigned to our table just didn’t want to listen to us when we asked for things or tried to get his attention. The other waiter was very good when we asked him for assistance. The food arrived at a good speed to the table. Cost: Mid-range and only worth it if your stomach can handle food made in a bad environment."

"when I ate years ago on vegetarian rasa, and then on the fish rasa recently, they were revealing. a South Indian cuisine that did interesting things with unknown ingredients. this rasa, on the other hand, is not particularly regional or particularly original. where are the sweet: the okra, the aubergine, the green? Why do we have boneless white meat huh (i.e. the dry, tasteless part,) hard lamb and so on (although the fish was not bad)."

"My best friend and I were meeting for the first time since the pandemic and this restaurant gave us a truly wonderful evening. The food was incredibly tasty, and the ambience was relaxed, happy and friendly and the staff were superb. They explained dishes, made fabulous suggestions, were caring and helpful to one middleaged and one elderly lady throughout. We enjoyed ourselves enormously I just wish I didn’t live 200 miles away and could visit often. My friend however does live locally and will be back! "Here are a few times since the food is great and (like his sister-restaurant Coconut Lagoon) the staff well versed in vegan matters. I recommend the koottu Curry or cheera parippu Curry (Full Spinat and Yammy). The Appam bread is also incredibly spongey, sour tasting bread that really softens the curry well. The staff is attentive and friendly. Came back with my parents and enjoyed a selection of good vegan and vegetarian curries. And of course the incredible appam. "I stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I received a warm welcome. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and his passion for food and drinks was evident. Louise, who served us, was charming, elegant, and friendly. The fact that they offered a generous garlic scone as an amuse bouche already had me impressed. The starter of king scallops and black pudding on a bed of pea jus was exquisite, and the light Albariño wine enhanced the flavors perfectly. The steak pie, with hand-cut chips and seasonal vegetables, was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, paired beautifully with a Rioja crianza. I was so impressed that I booked a table for two days later while still enjoying my starter. The dessert options were tempting, but I chose the meringue with strawberry ice cream and Chantilly cream, accompanied by a glass of Australian Chardonnay dessert wine. The quality of the food and the skill in its preparation and presentation made the reasonable cost seem like a steal. I left the restaurant incredibly satisfied and looking forward to returning. This establishment has set a high standard for all other local restaurants. Thank you."

"During my first visit to Comum, I found the food to be quite enjoyable, and the waitstaff were attentive without being overbearing. However, I was disappointed because we had made our reservation based on the 50% off mains offer listed on their website for January. Unfortunately, we were informed upon arrival that there were several conditions attached to this promotion, which were only communicated over the phone when making the reservation and not mentioned on the website. It was a missed opportunity for the staff to clarify these details when we arrived for our meal. While I understand that marketing can sometimes bring people in, it feels misleading when the discount isn’t honored as expected. The staff mentioned they would discuss this with management to ensure more information is available on the website, and I sincerely hope that happens."
