"Myself and 15 other people attend this restaurant for my mums birthday on the 25/11/2023. When the meal was served we found a staple to be in one of the meals. On the 26/11/2023 (late evening) we started to become ill. By the 27/11/2023 12/16 people came down with food poisoning unable to attend work. We visited the restaurant to explain what had happened and they refused to accept any blame saying we could have got it from anywhere. (6 different house holds are in their restaurant and all came down sick, very unlikely it wasn’t from there) The manager was extremely rude saying they could not compensate us in anyway as there food hygiene inspector had given them the all clear between when I attended to complain at 8pm on the 26th to when he called me at 2pm on the 27th. He was not willing to show me any record of the food hygiene inspection. They also informed me they had called every other person who attended the restaurant that evening to check they were all okay. Again they were not willing to show any record of this. DO NOT ATTEND!"

"Review done: My family and I am a huge fan of Kerala dishes. I’ve been to several Kerala restaurants in London but they don’t come anywhere near the quality and the taste served in Kayak restaurant. As starters we had the Mixed seafood platter and Kayal Konju Chilly. It’s certainly fair to say the starters made us hungrier and more excited to get the mains. As mains, we had the full thilapi, porotta, chicken curry and ghee rice. They were delicious as expected. After polishing off the plates, we moved to the deserts pineapple Kesari and semiya payasam. Knowing that we are in Kayal restaurant, one of our friends asked us to take away some dishes for them as they have been here a few times. The staff were very friendly, polite and very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. The restaurant is big and airy. We will be back!"

"We had an absolutely fabulous dinner at The Cinnamon Tree last Thursday evening. The staff were great and nothing was too much for them. The food was divine, a little too much for us to finish, so they happily gave us a box to take away leftovers home. Thank you guys, you have a little gem of a restaurant. 10 out of 10. "Cozy nice space. We had dinner there at 7:45pm on a Saturday. There was only one person working front of house for 10ish tables. I felt bad for her! As a result service was low took about an hour and a half for two ppl to eat and pay, no cocktails or desserts and a little spotty for example once the food was served, she never checked back in and we couldn’t catch her eye so our fish fry went without tartar/anything to dip it in, not a huge deal, just bland. . The potato leek soup was too salty. One note that I missed on the entrees: they come with a huge serving of boiled potatoes and veg. Also very bland and just unexpected, it was a lot of food and much went to waste there were 6+full sized boiled yellow potatoes! I think the experience might be better for breakfast or lunch. When we stopped in to make a reservation earlier in the day, we got greeted by the on site dog which I loved."

"We have eaten here a few times over the years and enjoyed the food, particularly as a vegan. This time around not as good. Firstly as a family no kids breakfast options but they were fine with us splitting the pancakes. Secondly, only two vegan options at breakfast, neither of which an actual ‘traditional esque’ breakfast. I opted for the plant based breakfast bap which did taste nice but a little on the undercooked side. Relatively small for virtually £10. Things to improve to get back to its older best: Have more vegan and kids options for breakfast. If you’re going to charge £10 for a small breakfast bap, add a few bits on the side. Way overpriced for what you get. We will be going to the better brekkie options in the area next time."

"I recently went on a trip to find a new pub, and what a wonderful discovery it turned out to be! The location is stunning, and the pub is beautifully maintained both inside and out. We were warmly welcomed, and there was a great selection of drinks. The food was delightful, and it was such a pleasant surprise to find excellent vegetarian options available. The staff was also fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. What a fantastic pub! Thank you for a lovely evening!"

"Looking at the other reviews on here I almost wonder if I ordered from the same place..but I did! Can only speak from our own experience but the food we received was **** awful. Jalfrezi cold (sure you can warm it up) sauce watery no substance meat looked old nothing like a traditional jalfrezi meal. My wifes chicken korma looked a strange shade of green and tasted disgusting. Rice sloppy and naan bread rock hard. All food went in the bin and thats £28 down the pan. Very poor will not return!"

"Popped in to the Tay Cafe for a bite to eat while doing a cycling loop from Pitlochry. We had planned to go to habitat, but it was closed and ended going to the Tay cafe on a whim. The carrot and lentil soup was delicious, flat white the perfect balance between frothy milk and hot milk. Oh, and the tray bakes were as delicious as they looked. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick lunch if you are in Aberfeldy."

"We were at Cheltenham for the races and ate at this fabulous restaurant on two occasions out of the four nights we stayed. The staff are very well organised and everything seems to run smoothly. Plenty of seating space and very varied menu, not your normal Indian menu here but authentic dishes which are cooked with great passion. Their typical Indian chicken curry is one of the tastiest dishes we have had . All the dishes we had consisted of good proper chunks of meat and the lamb melted in your mouth. Butter naan had a lovely light texture . One of the owners had time for a good long chat and told us about how their business had progressed and the flavours that they recreate from Mumbai. A restaurant not to be missed if you are ever in Cheltenham."

"I have visited this restaurant twice. It is located on the right side if you are coming from Carshalton, approximately the second bus stop after leaving Wallington High Street. It is definitely worth getting off the bus for. The Mutton Rolls are excellent starters, priced at only 90p each. They are breadcrumbed potato tubes filled with mutton bits in a spicy sauce. The Sri Lankan Chicken and Sri Lankan Mutton dishes (priced at £5.30 and £5.90 respectively) had very flavorful, possibly roasted, curry sauce that was more interesting than traditional Indian curry sauces. They were hot but not too spicy. The chicken is served bone-in and the mutton is indeed chewy but has a good flavor. Both times I visited were in the mid to late evening on weekdays, and there was a constant flow of takeout orders from local Sri Lankans, but there were plenty of free tables available."

"My family had the pleasure of dining at Mallus and that left me truly impressed. For us it was like a returning back to home experience. We used to enjoy their food from Anjaanas restaurant in North West London. We were their regular customers and felt so happy seeing Biju and Prince at their new venture Mallus. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with touches of Kerala's cultural elements that added to the overall dining experience. The authenticity of the cuisine at mallus deserves high praise. The taste and quality of the food were exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the traditional chicken varutharachathu.Eventhough I was tasting it after a decade it tasted the same and made me nostaligic. We have ordered different items from their menu and all of them tasted good. The service at Mallus was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they served. If you're craving a taste of Kerala's culinary delights, I highly recommend paying a visit to Mallus at Maidstone which is located at high street and easy to find."

"We've been going here for 15+ years and have always had excellent food and superb service. We would normally have the staff curry's which are amazing, but as it was Sunday, we opted for the Rezzalla Lamb for me, Chicken for my friend. Absolutely beautiful. The only downside was it was relatively quiet which was a shame because they deserve more business. Please support this local business by eating there. Wonderful staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Palm Beach restaurant in Wembley and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant not only has a lovely atmosphere, but the food was also delicious and presented beautifully. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The team was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the entire evening. Overall, I highly recommend the Palm Beach restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Wembley. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional and I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. If you're looking for a great place to dine, this is definitely one to consider!"

"Dev 's is full of potential, yet the service is incredibly poor. I really should go somehwere else, but beause it 's close to where I live I find myself returning in the hope they 've addressed the fundamental principles of customer sevice and the basics of running a succesful restaurant. In terms of dispointment and poor service, Dev 's never lets me down. The last time I visited I spent 90 minutes in an empty restaurant waiting for my order. On this occasion, the order came sooner; indeed the starter and main course all together. The waiter explained that it is traditional for Indian food to be served as a single course (worth bearing in mind if you are planning a meal here: there are no starters , anything you order will be served all at once). Unfortunately, the serving staff seemed unable to provide any plates or cutlery, so at Dev 's it 's eat with your fingers or go hungry. The food looks great: I hope to have an opportunity to try it some day."

"We had our first take away from Punjabi Tadka this weekend. We know the chef from his Vari days in Newington. Food cooked by the head chef Punjabi Tadka reflects true flavours of Northern India. Chicken tikka butter masala on bone was very tasty, tender and fiery. So was lamb vindaloo as you would get it in Goa) and lamb biryani. Well done chef. If you want to taste authentic North Indian food with no frills then Punjabi Tadka is the place for you guys and gals. As 95% Indian Restaurants and takeaways in 20 miles of Punjabi Tadkka aren't authentic Indian and serve Indian-Pakistani/Bangladeshi food."

"Went recently as a party of 5, including 2 grandchildren because this place is open all day and is dog friendly. It was a dssa[ointment to say the least. Thre of us had a Cheeseburger. The Burger was small, dry and was obviously not home made, or even made by a local butcher, and was topped with a cold, orange slice of catering pack cheese. The chiops were very good, but as usual there was enough on each plate to feed 3 people, with the assumption that if the plate is loaded, then you have had a good meal . Not true. It is just a waste of food! The giant Onion Rings were saturated with grease, and the only good thing about the meal, apart from the chips was the Coleslaw. The most annoying aspect of the meal, however, was the gentleman who was either staff or family, sat at the end of the bar, adjacent to our table, and spent the whole meal time listening in to our family conversation and butting in with comments of his own! Drinks only one bitter on tap and that was keggy John Smiths. Poor choice. Will not be returning! Will not be returning."

"Went there Friday night with my family of six .Have not been there for a long time due to covid and boy what a difference. It used to packed, but not any more and the plaice fillet I had was not fresh it was...grey, the chips were tasteless and I understand they have got only one waitress but the service was so slow .I again understand the difficulties of running a restaurant in todays climate but for a good fish chip restaurant to only have sachets of tomato tartare sauce is ridiculous ,we must have used about 30 sachets which is awkward and messy. They serve home male coleslaw which I must say is good on a small plate, so why not serve sauces in disposable paper or plastic containers like other fish chip restaurants.(Skipjacks) We will not be returning !!"
