"Popped in to the Tay Cafe for a bite to eat while doing a cycling loop from Pitlochry. We had planned to go to habitat, but it was closed and ended going to the Tay cafe on a whim. The carrot and lentil soup was delicious, flat white the perfect balance between frothy milk and hot milk. Oh, and the tray bakes were as delicious as they looked. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick lunch if you are in Aberfeldy."

This cafe is amazing! The cakes and paninis are delicious. I would drive 70 miles just to come here for the food.

Fantastic all round service. Great coffee, freshly prepared food, and homemade treats. The lemon custard creams are incredible. An Aberfeldy gem!

Friendly and helpful staff, wife and enjoyed superb pulled pork ciabatta cajun chicken mezzaluna, followed by two of the tastiest traybakes you could wish for. A real gem of a place in bonnie Aberfeldy

This charming little cafe has the most adorable father-son team! The coffee was very hot, and we enjoyed that. We also bought a quiche to go and it made a lovely dinner. I tried the brie and cranberry flavor, and it was absolutely delicious, 10/10!

I would move here for their mushroom quiche. It tastes like what dreams are made of. When I finish eating it, I look sadly down at my plate because I already miss it. The crunchy crust, mushrooms and feather light egg are made perfectly. would recommend to a friend.

I would consider relocating just for their mushroom quiche. It tastes like pure perfection. Every bite leaves me longing for more. The crispy crust, savory mushrooms, and fluffy egg are all perfectly balanced. I would definitely recommend it to a friend, 10 out of 10. View menu

"This place has all the potential for a 5 star experience and you may well have it by going here! Unfortunately, we did not and it's worth explaining why. For context, we didn't stay overnight just had a meal in the restaurant one night and went to the beer garden another. Restaurant: Food was generally very good and prices reasonable. I'd especially recommend the tempura chard if it's on the menu! The setting of the restaurant is also lovely. However, we ended up waiting about an hour between starters and main meal 2 people . We were advised approx 40 minutes into the wait that one of the mains was no longer available and a substitute would be provided there was some gnocchi improvised from potato mash involved. Service were on top of this though and did remove this item from the bill. So in summary, good elements involved but a couple areas that could do with attention. Beer garden: We went along to the beer garden to catch the rugby world cup final. This was sadly quite a disappointing experience that ended up with the limited attendance clearing out before half time . In short, coverage only started after national anthems. No sound other than via headphones ?? , which didn't work ?! . Pizzas were pretty tasty but the cheese was stringy as a ball of yarn positive with no cutlery or tissues provided negative . And at c. £16 per pizza, felt a bit cheated by the whole experience. The rooms themselves look lovely and I'm sure on a summer's day if you're looking to enjoy some drinks and a bit of food in a lovely setting, the Taybank probably covers exactly what you're looking for! They also run a traditional music session in the main bar on a Thursday evening, which is absolutely worth checking out! But I'm afraid for us, it's unlikely we would rush back for anything other than that."
