"We have eaten here a few times over the years and enjoyed the food, particularly as a vegan. This time around not as good. Firstly as a family no kids breakfast options but they were fine with us splitting the pancakes. Secondly, only two vegan options at breakfast, neither of which an actual ‘traditional esque’ breakfast. I opted for the plant based breakfast bap which did taste nice but a little on the undercooked side. Relatively small for virtually £10. Things to improve to get back to its older best: Have more vegan and kids options for breakfast. If you’re going to charge £10 for a small breakfast bap, add a few bits on the side. Way overpriced for what you get. We will be going to the better brekkie options in the area next time."

Batter on fish tasted of dirty oil and the colour of the batter look over cooked and beware of mushy peas, it as more like frozen peas put in a blender.. the cook should be sacked..

Good central beachfront location, easy access by ramp or stairs. Most tables outside but small area inside. Good coffee love the cappuccino cups (they match the coffee). Friendly service, outside is covered too. View menu

Easy to order. Nice inclusive space and baby friendly with multiple baby chairs available. Great menu and food that is locally sourced and reasonably priced. Friendly and interested staff. A great view of the sea.

We have had amazing burgers at Lucky Beach cafe and the Calamari has been great in the past but today we had it and it was mostly deep fried lemon slices instead of Calamari. Not what we wanted or ordered. We will try a different venue in future.

We have been taking breakfast here for a number of years whenever we stay in Brighton. Today was appalling it went wrong from the start where we have to order online by scanning a QR code then pay. We then tried to engage a waitress to ask for the bacon to be well done, we were ignored and she walked off. 20 mins later the food arrived. Not well cooked. Then you realise they add a service charge ….. for what ? View menu

We were blessed by gorgeous weather on both days of our weekend in early October. Lucky Beach is in a great location right on the beach with a boarded, elevated area with uninterrupted views of the beach and sea. The menu is really outstanding: the first day we ate Berlin eggs- poached eggs with spinach, pomegranate seeds, yogurt and chilli flakes and the second day crab Benedict- poached eggs, fresh crab meat and hollandaise on brioche. The freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee are both an added bonus. We had amazing service on both mornings.

We ordered 2 x local fish chips adding mushy peas, a service charge was added totalling £21.78. Pricey but we would not have minded if the portion size was good, this was like a child size portion, the smallest fish I have been served. The chips were not fresh tasting and we did not enjoy the meal at all. Our friend ordered tacos and was not impressed either. The service was not to standard, we were ignored for too long when we arrived, not even given menus, we had to ask for them. We ordered via the app and the option to remove the service charge was not given. Would not dine here again.
