"Oh my goodness! I don't even know where to begin with this place.. without a doubt, Bangla Kitchen has the worst takeaway food I have ever had and the customer service we experienced this evening was so terrible, it almost seemed like a joke. First of all, the food was so greasy that it was literally dripping out of the foil wraps. Secondly, when we checked our order, we realized that it was incorrect and parts of it were missing. And the parts that were correct were just awful - the meat was dry, there was a butter wrapper left inside the naan bread, and the tikka masala tasted completely different than usual, almost like something from a jar. When we contacted the restaurant to complain, we were met with a yelling, angry man on the phone who offered no apology and continued to shout at us. I was speechless. In conclusion, if you're looking for delicious Indian food with great customer service, definitely steer clear of Bangla Kitchen. I will never order from there again and would advise others to do the same."

"this restaurant deserves any good review that it has got! eating is amazing and the ambiente is just as good. in the rule Indian/pakistani restaurants with claws decoration and interiors, just because there are few restaurants. but this restaurant is very different. the restaurant is very beautiful from the inside and especially looks perfectly clean. we have not made the buffet option and have just decided to order from the menu. we ordered the chicken tikka masala, garnelen biryani and malai tikka boti. we loved eating, especially the huh tikka masala! that was the highlight of our meal, couple with the warm butternan. it was delicious! the biryani was a bit spicy, but still very tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone! go and see yourself!"

"they can see from the reviews that this restaurant is highly regarded and its call is justified. I confess to being disturbed when I found out it is part of the imperial, but my fears were allied. service was friendly, efficient and helpful. I can not comment a lot from the menu as my partner and I had the same dishes, but we enjoyed the freshly cooked fish that had exactly the right amount of seasoned and fresh crumble. I was resurrected when the waiter informed us that they would run out of monkfish, but they could replace them with white fish. at least this meant that it was not a frozen microshaft meal. another soothing aspekt is the menu itself. usually overlong in Indian restaurants. means that none of them is fresh. the menu here is diverse, but realistic. why not 5 stars. now the decor is a little more extinct and the only memory that they are imperial."

"I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."

"We visited Kaniz' tonight as we were staying at the Hyatt Hotel a 5 minutes' walk away. Without hesitation, I can say that this was the best Indian meal I have eaten including on a recent trip to India. The Poppadoms were light and crispy...and were served with a selection of six dips fabulous! We ordered a bottle of well priced Rose and decided on our main course meals. One portion of Butter Chicken and one of King Prawn Passanda' to share, accompanied by a portion of rice with peas proved to be perfection. The Butter Chicken was mild, tasty and a generous portion and the King Prawns were succulent and truly king size'. The food was wonderful and we agreed that if we revisited when next in the area we would repeat it again. The total bill before we added a service charge came to £53, yes £53 what an absolute bargain. If in the area or if staying at one of the hotels on Bath Road near to Kaniz', hot foot it for your evening meal, I doubt you will be disappointed! A great food experience!"

"We had another fantastic Indian meal with fresh and delicious ingredients at Spice 6. However, there were a couple of disappointments this time. The mixed vegetable curry side dish was quite pricey at £5 for a small portion, and the paneer masala lacked seasoning and reminded us of chunks of paneer in tomato soup. Despite these issues, the minced lamb kebab starter, tender lamb in the lamb sag, and tasty chicken jalfrezi were all excellent. We also noticed that the cheese naan seemed to be missing the cheese, or it was barely there. Overall, we were slightly let down as Spice 6 has always been flawless in the past. However, the service was still charming and efficient."

"Just stopped off here following a long train journey. Received menu and I asked if they did a mixed grill starter for one, as the menu only had it for 2. The waiter front of house said yes they did so I ordered that...together with a main. Cutting the story short when I came to pay the bill they had charged me for the 2 person mixed grill. When I queried this he said it was the only one they did. I asked why he had said they did it for one and he just shrugged his shoulders. I hate being lied to and this was a clear rip off. My question is that if they lie like this to inflate the bill what shortcuts could they take with ingredients/ cooking to make extra money. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby- I would recommend you give those a try this place doesn’t deserve custom."

"I called to make a reservation and the phone line was busy. However, they promptly returned my call, which was perfect. The welcome at the restaurant was friendly and welcoming, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. The food was the best we have had in the KT area. "Overall comments: This place was part of our Anonymous dinner rota. We were quite happy during eating and on the day, but the next few days were rough as 3/4 of us were ill. I wouldn’t go again even though the food tasted nice. Go at your own risk as it is good value for money if you can stomach food made in an unclean environment. My order was as follows: Starter(s): Veg Samosa, Hara Kebab, Aloo Tikki Chaat, Chicken Tikka, Side(s): Plain Naan. Food: All the dishes were good and I thought we found a gem. However, 3 of the 4 of us were ill for a few days after. Atmosphere: Music was at a varying loudness. The Seating was not comfy at all. The interior was decent but nothing special. Service: Service was poor. We had to ask for water multiple times and the waiter assigned to our table just didn’t want to listen to us when we asked for things or tried to get his attention. The other waiter was very good when we asked him for assistance. The food arrived at a good speed to the table. Cost: Mid-range and only worth it if your stomach can handle food made in a bad environment."

"When I first ate at the vegetarian Rasa years ago, and then at the fish Rasa more recently, they were revelations... a South Indian cuisine that did interesting things with unfamiliar ingredients. This Rasa, on the other hand, is not especially regional or especially original. Where are the vegetables: the okra, the aubergine, the greens? Why do we have boneless white meat chicken (ie the dry, tasteless part), tough lamb, and so on (though the fish wasn't bad). And why can't they offer a decent selection of lagers?"

"My best friend and I were meeting for the first time since the pandemic and this restaurant gave us a truly wonderful evening. The food was incredibly tasty, and the ambience was relaxed, happy and friendly and the staff were superb. They explained dishes, made fabulous suggestions, were caring and helpful to one middleaged and one elderly lady throughout. "I was a bit disappointed with my experience at this restaurant because my expectations were high due to the great reviews. The location and staff were fantastic, receiving a perfect score of 10. The menu was also well-liked for clearly marking which curries were vegan, a rarity in Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, the food itself was not to my taste. While my companions enjoyed their meals, I found the lentil curry I ordered to be too pureed and lacking in texture. "During our stay at lodges in Cupar, we were recommended The Tavern for dining. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and were seated promptly. The waitress was polite, courteous, and friendly. Although there was a 40-minute wait for our food, it was freshly prepared to order. We enjoyed the steak pie and haggis chicken, both of which were delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. We will definitely return to The Tavern when we are in the area again."

It was a missed opportunity for the staff to clarify these details when we arrived for our meal.
