"Although it’s not a licensed establishment, they do allow patrons to bring their own alcohol, although they do serve non-alcoholic drinks as well. When we visited with a group of six, we enjoyed appetizers and main courses, along with six soft drinks for the kids, and the total bill came to less than £48. This is a great price for average dining, but Alam's Lounge provided excellent food! Highly recommended, but be sure to book in advance."

"Heard about the old chef from regency , london from friends working there , thought I would try it out , was amazed ! Even better than the London one , the Kenyan kuku chicken, massala mogo, chicken dry fry and you have to try the crispy mushrooms was awesome , taking my family there next time, also the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was like being in a central London restaurant . Check out the decor !"

"we have booked this online, not really know what to expect, but we were so glad we decided to eat here. South Indian food that is somewhat different, but so delicious and amazing. we went for the masala dosa to share how really wanted to try one and as they see in my pictures, it was massive and very delicious. we then went for the cure, which was suppe to then start various curries with rice and brot, then a creamy dessert that was not so sharp, but the rest of the food was amazing. it had a nice atmosphere, I am a beautiful environment with friendly staff who do not push them. definitiw one must try in the opposite and want to try South Indian food."

"I am very very afraid I may soon turn into a …fish supper!!!! If I do ?Then this lovely place would be a good place to be . Really nice ladies greeting us as we arrived. They have a buffet/all you can eat area, but I personally find folks sneaking up and down and piling plates sky high with food a bit …..un-necessary .I became strangely drawn to a man who ate 4 sausages then fish then hash browns, then up for rice then chips…. and then had a huge dish of apple crumble and other stuff and continued to sprint up and stack ‘em high when the staff had went out of immediate area! However our fish and chips was delicious.Piping hot .Lovely clean toilets. We didn’t take the bread with meal as way too much butter-just our on preference. All in lovely place to eat."

"on Monday evening, as they can imagine, it was pretty. we served as soon as we came in and received a lot of attention. waiter, where very friendly, attentive and efficient. pickle tablet was standard. Chicken tikka was quite delicious and soft. you could say it was fresh. Lamb hacks where very tasty, but only 3 in one part: it did not try the chicken curry, but the meat curry was very good. spices where perfect. mango leti was very thick and not watered down even the yogurt could taste as it should be! also had a naan, this was probably the softest naan I had in a very long time."

"yesterday evening in jinnahs restaurant, the restaurant is in the middle of the middle of no where. the first thing we noticed was the alcohol bottles everywhere as soon as they come into the inner, which are totally suspending us when we are Muslim and we thought jinnahs was a Muslim friendly restaurant. the waiter was not very helpful, did not even smile or asked us where we were from . the lamb chops were very delicious. we ordered desi karai for our main meal . there was a lot of meat, but not much sauce . it was very dry. eating was something on the expensive side in comparison to the other jinnah restaurants. I would not recommend this restaurant to any muslim as all alcohol meets them wherever they look."

"**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** £20–30 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 **Recommendation for Vegetarians:** Highly recommended **Vegetarian Offerings:** Extensive vegetarian selection I had an exceptional dining experience during dinner, where the food, service, and atmosphere all received top marks. The price range of £20–30 per person felt reasonable considering the quality. I can especially recommend this restaurant for vegetarians, as they offer a wide and impressive selection of meat-free dishes. Overall, a fantastic choice for a delightful evening out!"

"Just awful! The starters were terrible (Malaysian satay is smaller bites and not a packaged peanut sauce but a crunchy fresh one! (We've both lived extensively in Malaysia .The mains were worse (Who grills a gem lettuce??? The 2 for 1 cocktails are a normal cocktail divided by 2 into plastic glasses. The ONLY reason this doesn't get 1 star is the staff. A great older French man and a lovely younger black girl, but (for £115 without wine and leaving after 1 hour .....? Just terrible."

"If you only try one Indian Restaurant in the Spen Valley, make sure it's Samarkand (affectionately known as Sammy's) in Heckmondwike. This restaurant was established over years ago by Sammy Laher and is known by everyone in the area. The food is delicious authentic Asian cuisine with recipes produced by Sammy's wife, Julie. The atmosphere is very friendly, with the recently refurbished ground floor providing a modern airy space where everyone is welcomed by the owners and staff. First floor can be used for large parties. The restaurant is family run with son Rahil now taking on much of the responsibility for front of house while Julie still oversees the kitchen. Oh, and don't forget to bring your own wine/beer as although Sammy's has no alcohol licence they are more than happy to provide glasses etc. for customers to enjoy their own. We try to visit once a week and have taken many friends and family who have all been as impressed as us. The chicken tikka has been voted the best ever by our expert Jacqui's brother, Andrew who has tried the dish in numerous restaurants, whilst we strongly recommend the Kahari dishes and even the Chilli Chicken if you're prepared to be adventurous. "I think possibly a victim of their own success. The food was good and i think after their recent award, my expectations were very high and were not met. There was nothing wrong, but I was expecting something special. I wish I could honestly score higher for service. The young man who served us was fabulous. They were very busy at least 50 people dining all at the same time, and the poor chap was working alone. He worked very hard and certainly deserves the recognition. I guess it's a family run business, and I know recruitment is hard with very few people looking for work in such a hard environment, but he really needed the help. It's worth visiting if you're local, but dont go in expecting too much."

"Do not go to this restaurant if you want to save your money. The portions are small, the chips were undercooked, and the naan bread was greasy. I paid £3.40 for a small bottle of Coke. It's no surprise that the woman who delivered my food was driving a new BMW. The food was not good, especially for the high prices. Overall, do not recommend this place. Service: Delivery"

"**Takeout Review** **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price Per Person:** £10–20 **Food:** 5/5 **Service:** 5/5 **Atmosphere:** 5/5 **Recommended Dishes:** Chicken Tikka, Mixed Chutneys, and Poppadoms I recently enjoyed a takeout dinner that exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The Chicken Tikka was particularly delicious, and the accompanying mixed chutneys added a wonderful burst of flavor. The poppadoms provided a delightful crunch that complemented the meal perfectly. The service was impeccable, also deserving a 5 out of 5, making the ordering process smooth and efficient. Furthermore, the overall atmosphere of the establishment, even through takeout, was inviting and warm. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Tikka, mixed chutneys, and poppadoms on your next visit!"

"previous purchase an online delivery campaign and all good. but tonight (27/2/2021) was the service and eating terrible. first was delivered completely wrong order. Finally, the food has been exchanged and correct order arrived, but was now cold. poppadome smashed and they had missed a part of our order. food tasted poor and quantity/quality far below the previous standard. will not order there again. when I called them for the wrong order, champayne express was no longer informed and accepted. but I didn't catch the new name and the reception had an old name on it."

"Unfortunately this place has gone down hill massively. Food was bland and tastless and everything tasted the same from the chicken to the meat. Portion sizes were also very small for the price. Service was horrendous. No customer service skills at all. No welcome, no goodbye the waiter only spoke to ask “whats your order”. Atmosphere was also tragic. The water fountains thats usually gave the place a bit of life were turned off, no music in the background nothing. Just the sound of the busy road outside to set the atmosphere. I came to this place as a teenager and loved it, thought it was the best meat masala in Bradford. Unfortunately i wont be returning."
