"ordered at 6:25. arrived at 9:45. i think that tells you all you need to know. but if you need to know more: we called every 15 minutes after the time that they said it would be delivered (8:35) and were always told that the driver had ‘just left’ and would be with us within ten minutes. we were told this for an hour. the food, unsurprisingly, arrived cold and, in the case of the naans, wet. pretty uninspiring meal all round, not the worst i’ve ever eaten but definitely not worth paying that amount and waiting three hours for. will not be buying from this restaurant again and i am advising those i know not to either. very poor."

"I just had the best meal I've ever experienced! The staff were incredibly friendly, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The food was consistently delicious—no grease, just plenty of meat and vegetables. We feel so fortunate to have this restaurant in our village. We recently ordered takeout (about our 100th time), and my father reminded me that I’ve never written a review until now. It's definitely time to share the love!"

"We hired the downstairs area of the venue for our staff Christmas party and it didn't dissapoint. Kip was really accommodating and great in helping get it organised include hiring the band and supplying Indian buffet food. The venue was perfect for what we needed with our own bar and everyone at the party had a great time. The food was great and ideal for a big group. The staff were lovely and the drinks service was spot on. Definitely worth considering for anyone that wants to hold a party at this venue and the organisation was a breeze....thanks again all at 5 Rivers."

"We was influenced to dine here based on table 26 winning food award there was four of us all seasoned Indian food lovers and all holiday in India and Sri Lanka our starters were nice prawn puri could have done with more prawns the mixed starters were very tasty and a decent amount my stuffed peppers was filled with delicious chicken and minced lamb our main dishes desi chicken chicken channa masala were lovely but my dish of garlic chilli chicken was very disappointing 5small pieces of chicken bulked up with large pieces of uncooked onion tasteless and way over priced a vegetable side bland to say the least the restaurant itself is quite small our table was cramped needed a shoe horn to get into my seat popular with locals we travelled from Gomersal sorry wouldn’t do it again"

"Wow, what an amazing place for gluten-free food! This fish and chip shop is incredible, with exceptional customer service. My friend and I took our children to Drayton Manor last Saturday, and ended up staying later than planned. On our way home, we needed to find something to eat for both the kids and us, but since we are both gluten-free (coeliac), we knew it would be a challenge. I decided to search before leaving the park and found Oceans in Tamworth. It was only 8 minutes away and on the way to Nottingham, so we decided to give it a try. Despite getting a bit lost, we eventually found Oceans in a small shopping area and parked our car. When I asked if they still made gluten-free food, I was surprised by the owner's enthusiastic response. He was incredibly helpful and showed us their wide range of gluten-free options, as they had been making gluten-free food for 18 years. He provided me with a menu that included not only fish and chips, but also other delicious items like gravy, onion rings, lemon pepper fish, etc. He also showed me how they keep all gluten-free ingredients separate and clearly marked in the kitchen. While waiting for our order to be freshly cooked, he even gave us a sample of chips and gravy to try. The food was incredibly delicious, and it was the first time I had enjoyed fish and chips in 10 years! He also treated us to a taste of the delicious lemon pepper cod. As coeliacs, my friend and I also received a free bottle of gluten-free chip vinegar. I ordered a large cod and chips with gravy (which was so good that I wished I had just ordered that instead), and got a child's portion for my son."

"I placed an order and the food was wonderfully fresh and hot. The chicken doner was fantastic, especially with the chili and garlic mayo. The service was exceptional; they even helped me carry the food to my car. The staff were very polite and friendly, always serving with a smile. I will definitely be back!"

"Certi little place to get late night munch from when you’re on a bashaal ting. However, my only problem is that they don’t take card. Cmon bro it’s 2022!I’m giving it a 3 and not a 4 because it’s yet again another place that doesn’t accept card in a CASHLESS SOCIETY! Man can’t even get a young 5 sheet from a ATM.The worst part is the main metrics which affect my rating aren’t even their fault. They say cash I say “say no more” but the nearest ATM is a bop. Man are saying go Tesco, the other option is the mediocre ATM opposite but that’s not a ATM that’s daylight robbery. And I say that respectfully.To conclude what I will say is they would have got a 5 out of me but guess what the last place I went to didn’t accept card either so I’ve come into this place to then see “Cash Only”, but maybe that’s how you judge if a place has good food if they don’t accept card because it seems to be a common theme.Nevertheless good people!"

"Absolutely outstanding! First time ordering here and they smashed it out of the park. A couple of our regular curry houses had gone downhill and we'd tried a few places trying to find a new gem all were pretty average in all honesty. Akhtars was recommended to us by a friend who'd previously recommended our current favourite kebab house. Ordered a peshwari tikka creamy but with a kick, just my style. My wife ordered desi lamb, rich and spicy. Great spice blend, tender meat. Keema rice was excellent, prawn puri was perfect and the garlic naan, although slightly burnt, we quite like that charred flavour so not a negative there either. The mushroom pakoras didn't travel well but you e got to expect that. They were very tasty and a decent size portion. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Just sad that we're now on our January diet because I'd order from here twice a week! Really pleased we've found a new regular. No idea how much it cost, but after tasting the food, I don't really care. Awesome food and it arrived 25 minutes earlier than expected. I don't give out 5* very often, but this place would've got a 7*. Needless to say, we'll be ordering again."

"Tried this place for the first time this evening after driving past many times. Checked out the menu and it sounded lovely. My girlfriend I had a fantastic meal, probably the best I’ve had in years. "The Afghani restaurant is clean and family-friendly. The menu is simple and the staff were courteous. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with kebabs and lamb chops, which were freshly made. For the main course, we had a charsi karahi that was delicious. This dish is unique to Afghan cuisine and we believe it will become a popular trend. We ended our meal with chai tea. Overall, it was a great dining experience and definitely worth a try."

"Mashallah, really really enjoyed the food and the vibes. Perfect for a family dinner or even for a celebration. The customer service was amazing. "I got a Just Eat delivery from here. It arrived within the time slot, well packaged and still hot. I ordered the Lahori Fish Masala startef which was up there with the best ive tasted i also picked the Dall Samber which was a side dish, this was right up my street very tasty amd packed full of flavour, definitely would order it again! My main was Malayan Chicken Curry which had loads of chicken in it with some banana and pineapple, i did really like this dish however i could only eat some of it as it was too sweet for my pallet. Dont let that put you off tho if you like really sweet mains it did actually taste good as was the pilau that accompanied it"
