"it is a balmy septembernacht in london and my flight had just arrived from berlin. all the contests had warned me so far to smoke as if the ice age comes, but there I sat in a T-shirt comfortable but hungry. Of course, smartphones choose our meal in these days and instead of wandering around possibly with a less than hearty meal, I flicked through the four square app. I came over a seemingly decent restaurant with a 8.9 rating that was only 0.2 miles away. the decision was made and I was scared to the “Chicken Shop”. the cake “Chicken Shop” back to home in Australia in style strong pictures of a small family business with delicious rotisserie huh, but in a dirty view of a load. Typically there would be cold metal furniture, greasy flowing floors and a flickering blue insect light on the back, which intermittently flushes, as it takes out the bugs that did not land in the food. it's fast and easy, not pretty, but it's sure how the hell is delicious. That's exactly what I expected when I arrived at the location kentish town. I couldn't find the entry first. I was hopeless looking for an oversized fluorescent window with a friendly looking international load owner behind a chrome counter top. Instead, I finally noticed a doorway with a minimalist sign above that shows the word “Chicken Shop”. I started to hear the sounds of emotional music when I walk down the polished wooden stairs, which on a dimly illuminated restaurant floor with designer furniture, candles, stylish decoration and a well-stocked bar. it was certainly not the picture I had on the way forward. the waiter greeted me with a warm smile and explained that the menu sits on the wall on the back, similar to the chicken shops at home. the concept has made sense. they took the classic idea of a family-run almost food shop, but added the flair of the fine-smeller. the place radiates class, but it does not lose its friendly local huh business feeling. I was excited about my order of half a chicken and watched how the chefs raised 24 hours of marinated, steamed and rotisserie roasted birds in the open kitchen. the hunch came ready in a takeaway polystyrene box. I made myself eager to the top to find a nice place through a canal or in a park to shove on the tasty quality. the odour that was overcome by my carry bag took over me and I sat on a bordstein as if there were no tomorrow. the box flew open in holy Grail fashion to see the delicious looking golden brown, juicy huh they hope to see from here to timbuktu. during the meal, I was only plastered for a second to mourn the loss of a piece that I had dropped during my trance as eating condition. I didn't want to waste the tasty eating and offered it to a passing puppy. the owner chased her dog disgusting. if only this pooch knew what he missed. I'm done and licked the house made hot soße clean of my fingering. finger lick good they say? in any case!"

"Thought this place was safe, considering the manager came to take my order when I told the staff I was coeliac, and my meal came out with a little gluten free flag. Unfortunately I had a terrible reaction, and reading some of the other reviews from the chain I feel like they probably don't actually know what ingredients are safe for coeliacs. I had the duck salad guessing that they probably don't use gf hoisin or something. Annoyingly they won't reveal the full ingredients of a dish."

"We ate here twice during our stay in Cardiff, first day and last dinner. It was the local pub down the street from our Airbnb. Just walked in on first afternoon and bartender was super friendly and the food was great. Fried chicken sandwich and burgers. Seriously might be best chicken sandwich of my life. Not a busy restaurant downtown. This place full of locals and in a middle class area. Beer was great and bartender gave excellent advice regarding places to visit. Highly recommend."

"Having had the most incredible meal at sister restaurant Pidgin last summer, we were really keen to try Magpie. The central location was great and the restaurant itself had a lovely dimly lit atmosphere. Sadly the food didnt quite match up to our high expectations and we didnt feel the money we paid for it really reflected the quality or choice. Would give it a second try but not in a rush to go back."

"Found this place through google and this app. With the reviews I was excited to try it out but I left feeling extremely unwell. They did tell me that there can be cross contamination and which I understand. But I felt extremely sick. The service also wasn’t great, from all of the places I visited this was the worst. My friends also had food here , non gf and weren’t happy. My friend was charged twice for her food and when she mentioned it to staff they weren’t helpful."

"I went to Five Boroughs with my partner for a late dinner last night. there was a guy there who had clearly taken far too many drugs, he passed out in the restaurant and was not breathing. My partner and a former emergency nurse, who was also in the restaurant, went to him, checked his pulse and immediately started giving him cpr. when he regained consciousness, she kept him in the recovery position to help regain blood pressure while my partner called an ambulance. His friend got him up and tried to get him out of the restaurant, the guy was barely standing and kept passing out over our table on his way out the door. The nurse was trying to get him back on the ground in the recovery position, but the restaurant owner was shooing them out of the restaurant saying, he 's fine, he just needs some fresh air. They left the restaurant and I saw him pass out on the other side of the road again, his mate hauled him up and kept moving. The owner had a massive go at my partner and the nurse for trying to do first aid and make sure he was safe in the restaurant."

"So service started well greeted as me and my sister entered, got drinks an ordered food. Then from there it went down hill. Order 2 tikka masalas, the food came fast enough but was disappointed when it arrived. 8 pieces of chicken no bigger than a thumb nail that was like microwaved bullets, they served the dish with sour cream which was very weird. Once the chef had finished cooking for us, she sat back at her table with her colleague and proceeded to chat. No check back or anything. Left very disappointed at it all and at £36 for 2 dishes and 2 cokes I expected a lot more for my money and quality too."

"The most consistently brilliant food in Rhosneigr. Thank you Hooked for keeping us going through those long lockdown months my first meal after getting home from hospital with our newborn son last year was a Fried Chicken Sandwich and I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever eaten! A regular weekend treat for us and we feel so fortunate to have such excellent food on our doorstep!"

"Wow, was it worth it! The place was packed with a real buzz about it. The food was gorgeous, the owner Ira is a character and we had a real laugh with her. She has one of those signs that used to be in old swimming baths- no diving, no petting etc and on seeing a young couple holding hands she showed them the sign and had the whole restaurant laughing as she bantered with them about it. They have quirky circular menus which we loved, the food was absolutely gorgeous, we had chicken schnitzel, salt beef, latkes, fish and chicken soup, then New York cheesecake with rum and raisin ice cream, which I hadn't intended having any, but was so yummy I ended up fighting for half of. All the food is freshly cooked and really delicious."

"Feeling peckish after arriving in the town I happened upon this little takeaway. It had seating out front which I thought would be handy on the warm morning of my visit. I ordered the 'French ' panini. That meant a filling of brie, ham and cranberry. It wasn 't panini bread, it was a grilled baguette. The baguette was a decent size. I had my reusable cup filled with tea bit of a self serve after the hot water 's been added (bit like Greggs). As I made my way outside I got a warning about seagulls.... I sat down and when my sandwich (double wrapped in paper bags) was placed on the table it didn 't take a minute for a feathered monster to swoop. Luckily I got there first. The sandwich was tasty and when I finished and balled up the wrappings on the table, said bird swooped and got away with paper. A chap from the shop went onto the road to retrieve the litter. Maybe a parasol or awning might be beneficial if the Council gave permission. It does put me off returning. And walking along the road I noticed other places with outdoor seating did not seem to have any bother with the birds of St Andrews. Anyhow, my baguette/panini cost £3.80 and tea was £1.30. There were some tempting traybake treats in the counter display, but I didn 't partake on this occasion."

"We visited the Rockabilly Diner and we weren't disappointed. The decor is real old USA with 50s music. The food has all American names, and mainly consists of various burgers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fried Chicken and Waffles"
"Small, friendly but packs a huge likeability punch. A very friendly and enthusiastic welcome, with a fine selection of real ales (I chose the Eagle IPA) and a truly interesting menu. I had the Pork Masala Burger, a tweak on their Masala Sausage Roll, and it looked great and tasted fab! The Abor House is quirky without being pretentious, friendly but not intrusive, it felt immediately relaxing and I'll definitely be back."

"On my way to a concert at Gunnersbury Park I popped into this most refreshing and friendliest of bars with an amazing selection of all types of drinks to suit every taste. Upon my entry I was greeted by Paul, possibly the most nicest barman ever whom went out of his way to strike conversation and was simply great craic... This bar is a breath of fresh air especially in this area. The Sunday roast was also damn good.... Guy and Girls I highly recommend you pop in for a wee tipple and you'll fall in love with it's vibe ...."

"The cocktail menu at this place is exceptionally well-curated! It was my first time in Glasgow, and based on the reviews, we decided to stop by Slouch for a few drinks. The “Pop My Cherry” cocktail is dangerously delicious; you can easily finish one in a single gulp and immediately want another! My personal favorite was the “Black Magic,” which is a fantastic twist on the classic espresso martini. We made our way through the cocktail menu in no time and enjoyed every single drink we tried! The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Slouch has a great atmosphere with plenty of space for socializing, as well as cozy, private areas if you want to relax. I give it a solid 10/10 recommendation!"

"I tracked the sandwich sandwich sandwich for age groups on instagram and today, after all it made it to the Cotham shop and it was not disappointed. the lady who served us was so friendly and helpful. I went for the south-fried chicken sandwich, which was full of taste and stacked. my partner went for the philly steak stack. very recommend both. beautiful customer service and delicious rocky street with jelly babys in. would definitely return, and would recommend getting there early as it is out of stock but still a lot of choice. many thanks for a beautiful birthday contract"

"I had heard about this place through an eating insider video about "the places they should visit in london "! the visuals had mesmerized me and I had decided that I had to try this Burger church!<br/ <br/ so during my trip to london I was near the place and went in to have a taste of her underwriting burger! the ambiente des ortes was quite rustic and quirky that fits a burger joint! the place is good enough for eating and I would suggest the same to get the real experience of the burger!<br/ <br/ we had ordered for their signature rindfleisch roast, subtitle lamb röst and the 1/4 pounder burger!<br/ <br/ every burger here is served with the gravur and fries! the gravure with the burgers is very delicious! there is a fleshy aroma that has the burger's taste!<br/ <br/ beef ROAST <br/ <br/ for the beginning of the burger was really huge! the burger had a huge beef patty along with two slices of beef on it! the patty was fried, but not the discs that gave the two different types of taste that was beautiful! the burger was really wet, it had huge amounts of sauces, it was literally penetrated with sauces! on the top I put all my gravy over the burger and went very hard core! the burger tasted really delicious and had unusual taste much to my taste!<br/ <br/ lamb ROAST <br/ <br/ similar to the rindburger burger, this was also very wet! this is the first outlet where I saw the burger to be wet, but it is not soggy! the lambburger was more tasty than the bark meat, as the lamb absorbs more sauce and juice than the bark, this made the patty more juicy and an aroma bomb! it was identical to the meat that was replaced by lamb slices, the cattle and a roast lambpatt instead of the beef!<br/ <br/ the quarter face was beautiful, but it was nothing extraordinary that lets me say that for their signature burger go instead of the normal daily burgers! <br/ <br/ i hit the lamb a for men who have more tasty I would really recommend diving and freaking people who love burgers!<br/ <br/"

"The best Sunday roast dinner I’ve had in west London ever! (Second best to Hawksmoors And I’ve tried a lot of them.. Having seen their adverts popping up on Instagram decided to go see for myself, and my dinner defo looked like the pics I’d seen online did not disappoint. Barman was knowledgable and keen to let us try alternatives -which were well suggested we went with in the end! Great selection of tap for such a small bar We got a great table upstairs sat away slightly from other diners in the window overlooking the street/river -perfect for people watching the Sunday strollers for those with table anxiety or who don’t like sitting too near other diners! Good flavourful hearty portions -meats cooked to request, stuffed full of veg a huge side of cauliflower cheese "
