"I went in there last night with a mate and ordered a couple of pints. The pub has recently been gentrified so the beer was naturally pricey. We sat in the lounge, not far from the door to the garden outside and it was cold and drafty there due to the door being constantly opened by people going outside to smoke etc, and the door not closing by itself. When I complained to the barmen, asking them why not put a hinge on door, they told me if I was cold to go and sit somewhere else. I did not like this flippant attitude from them. There were 3 other people who were sat even nearer the door, who were also feeling cold, and got up to close door. The autumn and winter are coming it 's going to get colder in that 'warm and cosy ' pub!"

Great pub in Cardiff. Great food I had fish and chips and the loaded fries looked amazing. Good range of beers. Brilliant music too! Can’t wait to return

The restaurant serves delicious home cooked meals with a menu that changes every 6 months, offering a good variety of options. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly.

Gone downhill since it opened. Gents toilets were stinking so badly the amonia vapours brought tears to your eyes. Not what you expect for a pub that charges £7 to £9 for a glass of wine.

The Guinness at this restaurant is exceptional, possibly the best pint I've had outside of Ireland. It still tastes delicious even when served in the traditional plastic glasses before a football match. The pub also offers fantastic food and has a great atmosphere before Wales games.

We’ve eaten Sunday lunch all over the City and this is definitely right up there!! At £12.95 we consider it excellent value and everything on the plate is just perfect. Marry that with the warm welcome and great service it really is a foodie destination you should be heading too We’ll definitely be returning very soon xx

I recently had lunch at this restaurant and it was delicious. The portion size was huge and I was not able to finish it all. I ordered the Pork Belly, which was cooked perfectly and came with a side of cabbage, cauliflower, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnip, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy. I highly recommend this dish. It was not only satisfying for the stomach but also visually appealing.

Great local pub, probably the nicest in Grangetown seems more modern and 'trendy ' than the others. The food is great, I 'm still yet to try a roast on a Sun day (it 's on my list! but the burgers are delicious and I had a very nice curry a few times as well. Not overly keen on the beer selection but not a major problem . The pub is dog friendly and has a nice large outdoors area too, perfect for hot summer days. Definitely recommend.

We ate here twice during our stay in Cardiff, first day and last dinner. It was the local pub down the street from our Airbnb. Just walked in on first afternoon and bartender was super friendly and the food was great. Fried chicken sandwich and burgers. Seriously might be best chicken sandwich of my life. Not a busy restaurant downtown. This place full of locals and in a middle class area. Beer was great and bartender gave excellent advice regarding places to visit. Highly recommend.

"cafe citta is a tiny little restaurant that is worn away and is very inconspicuous. if they have not made extensive food research, they might miss it at the end because it looks impressing from the outside. I recommend to them however to go an effort because if they are looking for authentic Italian food in cardiff, cafe citta should definitely do on their list! atmosphere: it is a very small restaurant with barely walking. the tables are small and crampy, so when they come with more than 3 people, I recommend to them a booking well in advance. but despite being small, the decoration is really charming. it felt more like going into someone's living room than a real restaurant! there were flowers each table with beautiful wooden tables, whose table legs were decorated in very ornate style, and cool paintings on the wall as well! customer service: excellent, could not be better. not only the personal friendly, but they were also very attentive and made sure that our table was well clarified without having to say anything at all! Food: that was excellent. as an appetizer we had the caprese, which was fresh buffalo mozzarella with a beautiful sauce and fresh tomato. the mozzarella was fantastic and really very fresh. we also ordered the polenta al ragu and the bolognese soße, which accompanied the polnta was fantastic! for a pornstar, I ordered the pollo alla romana, which was a whole chicken breast with sage, parma ham, and a side of kartoffel and salat boiled. we also had a garlic pizza to share. they gave us chili oil and parmesan on the side for extra spices. everything was great! I am usually not too excited to order chicken breast in a restaurant, but it was extremely juicy I didn't know that chicken breast could be so tender! there were great aromas everywhere. the only negatiw is that I recommend to give them the garlic pizza. it was quite bland and needed half a quantity of chili oil and parmesan to save it. overall I recommend cafe citta. next time, I would try one of her pasta dishes, how my partner swept over his tagliatelle carbonara!"
