"It was my husbands birthday and at about 3pm he decided he wanted to eat at pizza calzone that night and they very kindly squeezed us in (we later found out they had had around 150 customers that night so very grateful! We arrived and were seated quickly, staff as always, were very friendly and came to take our drinks order but we hadn't decided on food yet so Carlos gave us a bit more time. When we ordered he was happy to answer questions and make adjustments (removing chilli from the dishes. The food arrived quickly and starters were AMAZING. my husband and his mum had prosciutto, Mozzarella and Melon between them and I had the fried Mozzarella, my father in law had calamari, all of the dishes were amazing and shared around, very fresh and full of flavour. When the mains arrived I couldn't believe how big the calzone were! But both my husband and mother in law thoroughly enjoyed them and gave it a good effort to finish them! I had pasta gorgonzola which was delicious and again, very big portion and my father in law had the seafood spaghetti which he informed me was amazing- he asked for it without chilli which staff were happy to do. During the meal, it was still incredibly busy in the restuarant but when I asked Michael for another drink he happily made me one and came over to chat about how busy they were and the food, he was very friendly and I'm sure i know him from somewhere but couldnt work out where! Once we had finished our meals (we were offered takeaway boxes for leftovers we were sat having a drink and all of a sudden a panacotta with a candle arrived and all the staff were singing happy birthday to my husband, we really didn't expect this and it was such a lovely, special touch, especially considering how busy the restuarant was, it made us as a table, and my husband feel very valued. When we got yhe bill the staff happily provided emergency service discount which we appreciated and we again chatted which Michael. Overall it was a really lovely experience and the staff are fantastic and go above and beyond. Thank you Carlos and Michael for making it such a special night! And to the kitchen staff, thank you for the amazing food! We will definitely be back again. Merry Christmas!"

"good eating a little expensive. the staff was very friendly and helpful. cured meat selection was nice, but small for the price or at least the quality did not live up to this price. chardonnay white wine was fantastic and easy to drink. chicken liver was good, but slightly boiled. fried mozzarella was really delicious. we asked for broth and butter not very italian) the brot was not roasted and tasted like an under average white toast that is disappointing for such a place. that said, all was good."

"As a group of on a weekend away we bought Buy a Gift vouchers for Prezzo course meals with wine and even got a special offer discount reducing the price from to per couple, or just per person!...When we arrived at Prezzo, Grantham, we were shown to a table in an alcove, at a distance from other diners as requested, and the staff were attentive and helpful in taking our order. The starters arrived and they were delicious. When the main courses appeared we could not believe the size of the pizza and the burger and fries. The other meals, veggie bolognese and lasagne also looked lovely. We were all delighted with our meals and so impressed at the quality, especially considering the bargain price we had paid. Three of our party had the cheesecake for dessert which looked (and apparently tasted) absolutely delicious. As I have a lactose intolerance I reluctantly opted for the raspberry sorbet but it was lovely and very refreshing. All the food was tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented. We had glasses of wine and soft drinks with our meals which were fine. Throughout, the staff were perfect. Well done Prezzo. It is rare these days to be able to say that everything was perfect but, on this occasion, you definitely scored"

"I have been here for years and never disappointed. came with some friends to dinner and we ordered a vegetarian pizza, a ravioli and a penne piccante. the portion sizes were good to the ravioli. I found this a little strange, as the portions in the regular are quite generous until I can manage only a 2 cursor. Nevertheless all enjoyed their meal and I found the pizza especially beautiful, the mushrooms were particularly aromatic with a beautiful earthy smell. the mozzarella beautiful and cordy. the basic fresh made, well cooked enough to be solid, but still soft and fluffy. as always, the staff are friendly and helpful."

"My son made a reservation for a table of 6 in the evening. As a fan of local pubs, I immediately felt at home with the people at the bar, some enjoying a meal and others playing cards. The atmosphere was quite rustic, with a good selection of tapas that were reasonably priced. The service was excellent, and the overall vibe reminded me of a small bar you might find in the back streets of Bilbao - unpretentious and offering delicious tapas. I will definitely be returning, even if it's just for a beer and some Spanish cheese and ham."

"We came for lunch on a Saturday, we were advised that it would be a 30 min wait. The food didn’t arrive for another 55 minutes, and it came to us barely warm like it’s been sat on a hotplate so not sure if they forgot something. Other tables that had arrived well after us got the food well before we did. The food was mediocre, perhaps would have been better if it was hot. All the fried items like chicken or onion rings needed seasoning on the batter as it was quite bland. Overall a disappointing experience, we paid £70 for 3 people and it made us late for the rest of us our plans"

"100% would recommend this restaurant. They quickly made space for the 4 of us and the atmosphere was amazing with a cosy vibe, very friendly waiting staff too. I had the risotto with courgettes, peas, spinach and broccoli which was incredible, wish I lived closer to go back regularly! I also had the king prawns as a shared between the table which were amazing as well. The rest of the order included two pizzas, tagliatelle bolognaise, olives and cheese garlic bread. "I am at a loss for words. The Italian food we had at this restaurant was hands down the best I have ever tasted. It was clear that the dishes were homemade and they were absolutely exquisite. My partner and I cannot stop talking about this place, and I highly recommend that everyone give it a try. Do not judge a book by its cover, as I cannot emphasize enough how delicious the food was. It was not your typical bolognese and carbonara; there was something uniquely special about them. Both the chef and waitress we interacted with were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. I cannot stress enough how incredible the food was - I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. You will not be disappointed."

"Very enjoyable meal, a complemetary flavour packed bruscetta. "We went here for a pre-theatre meal. We had told them at booking that one of our party was allergic to eggs and they did provide an allergen menu (paper and food stained). The food was served as though it was a favour and we...had to ask several times for our drinks. The food was ok but all the sauces were very watery and therefore it was like having pasta with a small amount of soup at the bottom of the bowl. When we had finished our dessert we were asked if we wanted anything else and we said no. We had just ordered drinks prior to this so they were mostly full. Within a minute the bill was “thrown” on the table without a single word. As we were just discussing the fact we hadn’t asked for the bill yet a member of staff turned up holding a card machine. Again she didn’t say anything. We wanted to split the bill and when we asked about this she disappeared and then came back with the split. The only time she actually spoke to us was when one of our party tried to pay by Amex. A direct quote “Use another card”. By this stage we just wanted out so we left. Definitely will not be back and has put us off going to any of the restaurants."

"Dinner last night. Food was excellent. The four young table staff were very good...smiling, friendly and professional. In general, we really enjoyed it. So why am I only giving it 3 out of 5 ? The 5th member of staff, was much older, grey hair and glasses and was possibly the head waiter. Not once did he smile, nor give anyone eye contact. When we arrived and spoke to him, he seemed to just grunt, and told a waiter to take us to our table. Really not welcoming. The only word he said to us was ...finished, as he took our plates away, but didn't smile or ask if the food was OK. Twice he chastised a member of staff in front of diners..not good. "While staying near Kings Cross and craving Italian food, we decided to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, our experience was not pleasant. The coke we ordered was flat and the limoncello was not enjoyable. The garlic, tomato, and oregano pizza bread we ordered as a starter was the worst we have ever had at an Italian restaurant. My calzone main dish was decent in taste but lacked filling and had a thick and unappetizing pizza base. My girlfriend's salad with grilled vegetables also fell short, as the ingredients did not seem fresh. Despite the friendly staff, we were disappointed overall with the food and drinks. We were surprised by the restaurant's rating of 3.5, as in our opinion, it is too high."

"I have reviewed this restaurant in the past, but after a wonderful meal last night, I am reviewing it again. Typically, I go with my entire family, but yesterday, I went with my husband to celebrate his birthday. We both had the best burgers (he had beef, I had chicken) with delicious truffle oil fries that we can't stop thinking about! We also enjoyed the fried mozzarella, prawn, and gnocchi starters. Our server was very friendly and helpful, the drinks were cold, the atmosphere was lively (especially for a Tuesday evening), and the service was efficient. I definitely plan on returning soon. I have a taste card, so I can take advantage of the 2-for-1 offer during the week, but I am also willing to pay full price for a weekend meal here. While looking into some of the negative reviews, it seems that many of them were from around September/October 2021, possibly due to staffing issues. I would recommend giving this restaurant a chance if you haven't been before."

"We shared a calamari starter, which was a bit oily and had too many crumbs, with a strange plastic taste. The kids loved the mozzarella bites, but weren't too keen on the vegetable sticks. For our main courses, we ordered a margherita royale pizza, which had a tasty dough and was well-presented. My wife had penne with salmon, which was well-mixed and had plenty of flaky salmon pieces with a good level of spiciness. The kids had spaghetti and meatballs, which were large and delicious. For dessert, we had tiramisu, which was very tasty and beautifully presented. The standout dish of the night was definitely the pizza - it was worth raving about!"
