Crispy, golden-fried shrimp served with a tangy dipping sauce for a delightful seafood treat.

"After days of waiting to get a seat in there, I was amused by the high quality food and astounding service. Before jumping into the review, a huge shoutout for our waitress Ellie for being so kind, funny and lovely. For the food, appetisers were ravioli, burrata, fried shrimp and rocket salad. All were soooo good especially the fried shrimp(so crispy #dying). For mains we ordered the US sirloin and US fillet which both were so tender and tasty. The goodman burger was so good as well but I didn 't like the fries that came with it. The mac and cheese was delicious but was a bit heavy. For desserts, we ordered tiramisu which so full of coffe, my mouth was dry after that. I didn 't like the tiramisu tbh. The cookie sundae , on the other hand, was quite the thing, it was delicious."

"came here before a performance in the royal albert hall, a little early before our booking, but that was 't a problem and we sat immediately. service was a little slow to order, but eating was great! starters were chicken pliers and the popcorn garnel that was delicious. then we both got the bacon cheese smokehouse burger, which was also delicious. not too big, where you can't even hold it, great chips and beautiful 'schlaue. the BBQ sauce on the table was also delicious. tables very close together and busy atmosphere and she added a 12.5% service fee, which was somewhat annoying, but overall, a great experience, would return."

"For my main course, I had the halibut steak with baby potatoes, and it was outstanding! The fish was cooked to perfection, with a delicate sear and tender, fresh meat. The chef truly excelled with this dish! The baby potatoes were soft but had enough firmness to hold their shape, and the dressing on the plate was just right for enhancing the flavor. I also decided to try an oyster for the first time. The staff were very helpful in explaining how to eat it. Following a friend's advice, I added some lemon juice and Tabasco sauce, along with a few drops of shallot vinaigrette. Instead of swallowing it right away, I let the oyster sit on my tongue for a moment to savor the flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard oysters can be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit—even for a picky eater like me! The white wine I chose was a nice complement to the meal, with subtle fruity notes that were not overpowering, pairing well with the various fish dishes. If you appreciate high-quality, fresh food cooked to perfection, this is the place for you! I’d rate it a perfect 10/10 and have already recommended it to friends. A big thank you to the staff for a delicious meal and a delightful evening! For vegetarians, I noticed a few options on the menu, and the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate larger groups, making it kid-friendly as well."

"I've visited a couple of times since the restaurant opened, and while my first experience was excellent, this time it was quite disappointing. The twill rings tasted cheap, as if they were frozen and taken out of a package, and the jambalaya resembled rice pudding with small bits of processed meat. The waiting staff were friendly, but the overall experience was marred by the poor quality of the food. It seems like Poboyz is cutting corners, which affects the overall quality. I won’t be returning."

"Came on Saturday night with a friend, the food was good (it has been better before) the service was a bit odd, it wasn't mega busy but all the waitresses seem extremely rushed off their feet and it took longer than necessary to get drinks. We ordered sparkling water and it came in the glass rather than bottle, and we were then charge £2.50 for it. We were sat near the door to the kitchen downstairs with the smell of smoke wafting up. The waitress walked into my chair at least 4 times as she was rushing past and the bathroom was dirty. For a small place the acoustics are very bad and its extremely loud in the back room. Will come back and try again as maybe we just went on an off day!"

"My husband, who grew up in the area, had a reunion with a high school friend who also married an American. After visiting the abbey across the street earlier that day, we were surprised when they suggested meeting up at this restaurant in the evening. I have always enjoyed the food in the UK, and this place did not disappoint. I was thrilled to see braised pork belly on the menu, which was cooked perfectly and served in a generous portion. I had no problem with the black pudding, as it reminded me of a Filipino dish. The apple fritter, which I initially mistook for an onion ring, was a nice touch. For dessert, I had the warm, sticky ginger toffee pudding, which was a perfect ending to the meal. Our friends were regulars at the restaurant and had a nice table reserved for us in the back. The ambiance was lovely and it was a great place to enjoy a meal with friends. It would also be a nice spot for a romantic dinner for a couple. Keep in mind that parking is limited and tight, so be prepared to walk a few blocks if you can't find a spot right away."

"I really enjoy this restaurant; it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, and I love being able to sample a bit of everything. My favorite part has to be the teppanyaki counter—I love watching my food being expertly cooked right in front of me on the hot grill. This place is also great for picky eaters! My kids absolutely love the unlimited ice cream and chocolate fountain. Overall, this restaurant checks all the boxes for a simple family meal. The prices are reasonable, especially with the unlimited soft drinks."

"One evening, my wife, adult daughter, and I decided to visit this restaurant in Porthleven after reading previous reviews. We arrived around 6pm and were surprised to see how busy the pub was for a midweek night in November. It appeared to be a popular spot for locals, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Although there were initially no available tables, we managed to secure one after about 15 minutes, giving us time to look over the menu. I ordered the short rib beef pie with mash, mushrooms, and carrot, my wife chose the Megrim Sole with sauce and greens, and our daughter opted for the pepper sausages on a bed of mash and lentils. While all the meals were tasty, we were somewhat disappointed. My pie was small and shallow, more like a meat patty than a pie, and the portions were not very generous. Additionally, my wife's Megrim was delicious, but our daughter's sausages were the only hot items on the plate. Despite these shortcomings, we enjoyed the evening, the pub atmosphere, and the overall flavor of the food. However, we were disappointed by the portion sizes and the temperature of some of the dishes.Overall, while we may not return due to these issues, we did appreciate the experience and the taste of the food."

"The first thing you'll see when entering this restaurant is the number of Japanese people eating here. We were the only westerners there! I loved it : The food is like the one I've eaten in Japan. Certain, it is not a cheap place, but I can vouch for them on authenticity (been many times to Japan . Service is ok, there is one girl that's a bit grumpy, but after you come a couple of times she is less. I would recommend to take one of the sets. The fish freshness and quality is outstanding, presentation of the dishes as well, very neat. I come here regularly, worth the trip! They have a private area/room downstairs which you can book and reserve. If you're on a budget, come at lunch time, the sets are very good price-quality. one only negative thing: sometimes the floor is sticky because of the product they use. Ah, and I was expecting a full Japanese toilet, shame they don't have it (they have normal one, of course ! Reserve ahead if you go on a weekend or Friday night."

"Attended today 5/11/23 for a family get together. Mandy the young lady who kindly took a family photo for us was extremely helpful. Our meals were served to us by a very friendly and efficient male member of staff , unfortunately, whose name I did not ask. We were sitting at the round table overlooking the car park at the front of the building. Well done everyone and thank you for a great experience. Food: 5"

"This is possibly the most dog-friendly pub we have ever been to. We pre-booked for Saturday lunch for six people with four dogs. Good job we did as the rest of the tables were quickly taken. At one point there were nine dogs in there. No problem for the pub. There is another bar, I am not sure what the dog situation is in there, so if you are dog-phobic, I would recommend contacting the pub in advance to see what the score is. "Delicious, cheap, all you can eat! I can't wait to go back to this place. It had a small variety of about 15-20 dishes but because of this all the food was hot and fresh. It all tasted natural and delicious. I easy ate 4 plates without feeling bloated. The dining area was much smaller than most other buffets but it wasn't crowded. Small range of deserts but much better than other places. Homemade ice cream and fresh cakes. The one thing I noticed that seemed strange is there was no salad I believe it cost £5 -6 well worth it Parking: A small parking area is available out front that can fit about 10 cars then there's a side street. I've never had a problem finding parking here Kid-friendliness: Kids love it. They can easily reach all the food and the deserts are great for them. They will always remember this place Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Spring Roll, Chicken Wings Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"We always enjoy coming to this cosy pub on our visits to Windsor, and today was no exception! We had a nice friendly welcome, and the staff were very helpful with explaining what a ‘substantial’ meal would be to accompany our drinks in line with government restrictions at the time of writing. We really loved the carrot soup of the day a real winter warmer on what was a chilly december day.We also really enjoyed our big chunky tuna sandwiches and tasty salads too all at a very reasonable price from what was a great menu. The atmosphere was cosy and quiet, with a big log fire in the other bar and we loved all the christmas decs.Well done whoever chose the music too it was mainly classic rock music, on at a low volume, and really added to the enjoyment of our visit. It’s great when establishments get this small (but important) thing right. We really enjoyed our visit, and it was great to come back this real jewel in Windsor’s crown literally on the doorstep of the castle back open. If you’ve never been, come and see for yourself!"

"had to pay £5 per person for a table of 5 for a Friday night and there was only one other table all night they had no Sirlon-Steak who had the cheapest steak. so had a 'going solo' as it was the next best option for the price that was steak, huh, lamb and 3 chicken wing chips and coleslaw and salat. chips were perfectly seasoned and a change to normal steak chips. I would have liked to have added a few tweeper rings. I had a pint koks and they said that they did not do pints it would be two doses that cost £5.00 for two doses of pop! the young girl who works was beautiful and very chatting."

"The clams were not properly cleaned and the ritz-cracker crusted haddock was soggy. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but it has undergone a disappointing change. The food is overpriced for the low quality. I would recommend looking elsewhere."

"Visiting Hull for the first time. Fancied a Thai meal. Booked but found the place virtually empty at 7.30 on a Friday night not a good sign. Ordered the set meal for 2. Waited over half an hour for food good sign I thought obviously freshly prepared. Whilst we waited the bin from the kitchen which was full was wheeled through the restaurant. Then once emptied wheeled back through. Prawn crackers eventually arrived looked like a whole meal version not great. Eventually the starters arrived. Pork skewers which looked like a piece of bacon on a skewer one of which was stone cold. A Thai fish cake which was like a piece of rubber with no flavour. Prawn toast without a hint of prawn. Thank goodness for the peanut sauce which made the tasteless rubbish edible. The mains arrived. The first dish was bland and watery. The next two had a little taste but not great. My partner said the food has made me grumpy that has never happened. Paid quickly and left feeling sick. Headed to Tesco for chocolate. Do not waste your money."

"I went to this restaurant tonight and ordered Chinese food. I have never had any issues with this place before, but the meal I received was absolutely terrible. The chicken fried rice was dry and tough, the chicken balls were rock hard, the chicken satay skewers were burnt, and the duck chow mein was dry. The curry and sweet and sour sauces were very watery. Everything was extremely salty and unappetizing. I tried to call to get a refund since I didn't eat any of the meal, but couldn't get through. I have been a customer of this restaurant for years, but I will not be returning after this experience."
