Crispy, golden-fried shrimp served with a tangy dipping sauce for a delightful seafood treat.

"Possibly the worst chinese food I’ve ever had. Every dish was padded out with huge lumps of spring onion and sliced white onion. This is how restaurants and takeaways save money, throw in loads of onions and skimp on the proper ingredients.Everything tasted of the worst quality and cheapest oil, barely managing to cover the taste of the poor quality meat. We only ate some of the food and threw most away, it was that bad.One star is way too much, but at least the staff were friendly.Might be good to eat from here if you’re really drunk and are beyond caring what you have."

"We both had a burger, which was tasty, definitely not of the frozen variety like many places. They were busy but informed us there would be a wait, we didn’t mind, it was well worth it. The brownie was huge, great for sharing, we will be returning, Thankyou to the lovely staff."

"The best Chinese takeaway, HANDS DOWN! My partner has never been a big fan of Chinese food, usually finding it too greasy and sickly, or too orange and padded out with carrot and onion. But I do love noodle dishes and really fancied a takeaway.. so scoured reviews of Chinese takeaways within reasonable driving distance of home.. Eventually found King Wok and tried them for the first time a few months ago. They're a 30 min drive from home.. but it's worth it!! Really delicious, fresh Chinese food that my partner now requests every few weeks. She loves the Aubergine in Hot Bean Sauce (not something I've seen on any other Chinese takeaway menu .. and the Classic Spring Rolls are the best we've ever had! We won't go anywhere else now! Be warned... they can get very busy on Friday/Saturday and there can be quite a wait for food. So order early on those days to avoid disappointment!! (Last time I tried ordering on a Saturday I called at 6:15pm and they said it would be at least 8:30pm before they would be able to have it ready as they are so busy.. they're supposed to close at 8:30pm.. that how busy they were!"

"Tuesday 24th. We waited for approximately 50 minutes for our order, which included a burger and a katsu curry chicken, to be served. During this time, we had to endure disruptive children running around the pub. The staff noticed the situation but did not take any action, even though it was clearly bothering guests like us who were seeking a quiet dining experience. We also witnessed a group coming in, but they were discouraged from ordering food, even though the pub was nearly empty by then. There were only a few of us and a few others still waiting for our meals to arrive. The group eventually gave up and had to find food elsewhere. When our food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, while we were trying to eat, a group of guys sat right next to us, watching football and making it difficult for us to enjoy our meal. I would not recommend this place and do not plan to go back."

"This is the only curry takeaway in King's Cliffe, we live in Yarwell Country Mill so used it quite often, tonite Sunday 15th we went and picked our order up, up till now nothing to complain about, good food and a tasty curry, tonit I ordered the chicken Madras, it was a half filled carton with a few and I do mean a few bits of chicken in it well I think it was chicken, no taste at all, the wife had Chicken Tilka Massala, what she got, again half a carton of what can only be described as a tomato soup with a few bits of chicken in it and again we think it was chicken, these curry takeaways get so complacent that they think you'll come back week after week they think they can sell you slop, and it's not cheap, there's so many to choose from we won't be spending our money here again, I'd rather go into Stamford and collect next time, so if you want a decent curry DON'T GO TO THE KINGS CLIFFE CURRY TAKEAWAY, one final observation the staff are not very friendly, not a big deal but when your giving them your hard earned cash a polite and friendly face is not alot to ask, is it!! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"Make sure to visit Casey and the team on a Sunday for their delicious roast dinner. There's nothing better than enjoying a roast on the beachfront on a Sunday afternoon to cure a hangover. This was my first time having lunch there and it was amazing, but make sure to get there early because tables fill up quickly! The price per person is between £10-20 and the food, service, and atmosphere all receive top ratings of 5."

"My Son and partner came for Easter, we were recommended to try there meals. after a day out on Good Friday we had already booked to be sure of getting a seat as always busy. We arrived at 5pm and were welcomed with a smiling waitress who show us to our table. We ordered our drinks which were swiftly brought to our table. Looking at the menu at the mouth-watering meals, my son chose good old fish and chips Lou his partner ordered half chicken and chips, i ordered grilled plaice and chips with mushy peas. All meals were freshly cooked and brought to our table by the happy smiling waitress. The food was excellently presented and nothing was to much trouble. We all enjoyed our meals that were freshly cooked and very tasty. Thank you for your team effort. Will return soon"

"Wow! What a find! We thought we’d pop in to check out the gin and we ended up spending the whole afternoon and evening there! We were greeted by the lovely Josh who was so knowledgeable about gin and really made us feel welcome and after a guided tour of the distillery he suggested we try the gin tasting paddle. It was only £9 and worth every penny, we shared the 8 little shots and the bar supplied us with complimentary Fevertree mixers! The gin and rum selections were sensational and we just had to buy a couple of bottles to bring home. We then spent a few hours chilling and chatting to Josh and the rest of the staff and decided that we couldn’t go home without trying their gluten free pizzas! So we headed over to the restaurant area and enjoyed pizzas and loaded fries. We then made our way to the comfy leather sofas in front of the welcoming log burner and ordered a Banana Rumba cocktail lovingly made by Josh who was a real master cocktail maker !! and an Affogato with a shot of hot coffee and spiced rum! We didn’t want to leave and honestly it really made our visit to the Isles of White memorable. Couldn’t recommend the Mermaid bar enough! Honestly it’s fab and we can’t wait to go back."

"The best sushi I've had in a great location and affordable. Service is great, a family run restaurant that cares for the customer. Always attentive, kind and warming. I've coming here for 4 years now and as a sushi passionate I've tried many around London, but none of them gets even closer to this one. Highly recommend"

"Came here while on business and the service was amazing and the food was just as amazing. I ate alone on a Sunday night so not a busy time, but I throughly enjoyed my meal here. My meal was only a basic one course meal. Beef Korma and rice along with keema naan. It was fast and fresh straight from the kitchen, the portions are not huge but Indian food is filling and turned out to be about right, no need to waste food. The prices are not cheap I believe this is a place for quality. I’m happy to pay for quality of food and service, COVID-19 precautions are also well managed as much as they can be in a restaurant. Temperature taken at the door and masks on all staff, I can not imagine a restaurant is an easy place to wear a mask but this was all followed. Next time I’m in the area I will be sure to visit this place again"

"DISGUSTING PLACE Bad restaurant, bad experience Firstly I must mention to you that my friends and I, we like trying new cuisines flavours, we go out for food at least twice a month and we usually don't pay over 20-25e per person. I must also declare to you that we don't have strange willing on food. We decided to go to this restaurant We ordered some food like pork braised(no taste mediocre food) dumplings (4/10) as per drinks lemonade and bubble tea,the drinks started to come when I noticed that the waitress drinks from my tea ,I ask her why she drinks from it then she get quiet I proceeded to ask for a replacement when she gets irritated my partner was horrified seeing what was happening,we decided to stay as our food was coming and after a long day we were hungry,we pay when we saw the bill we were not satisfied with the service and food, and we decided to not pay for service charge 5£ when the waitress lady got angry and she kept asking if we are sure for cancellation is like they force u to pay ,(please check your bill as u have the right to cancel service charges)and we cancelled as the whole thing was a bad experience,I’ll suggest going to Mc Donald’s instead of this horrible place the whole place is a mess the kitchen is near by the toilet where u can see how the food is made which is not in a hygienic environment so dirty plus seeing the chef preparing the food on the floor in a dirty pot disgusting this place should not exist STAY HEALTHY AND DONT BE FOOLED BY ALL THESE ,,GOOD REVIEWS “"

"I 've eaten here a few times over the years when it was Bubba Gump so thought it was a safe bet for a birthday celebration meal before a night at the theatre with my husband. How wrong I was! There was no great welcome with lots of standing around in a cavernous space at the top of the stairs waiting for someone to eventually come to the desk. Then it was not clear if it was a queue or a crowd as the people who got attended to were in no particular order. We had booked and noted it was for a birthday. Maybe I should have mentioned that the birthday person was well into middle age and then we wouldn 't have been seated in the midst of a lot of families with young children more with an atmosphere more like a fast food 'restaurant '. We asked to move but the only other place was a table looking onto an open area where the staff congregated to chat and serve drinks. It didn 't look too clean and was an ugly view. The food was okay but very overpriced for what it was. The main courses were all over £20 and the cocktails were £10. I 'd have expected a lot nicer surrounding and better food for this even in central London. I had the New Orleans Shrimp which were tasty but there was hardly any sauce so was very dry and I couldn 't eat the rice without sauce. I will not be returning."

"It was a very busy Saturday and staff were dealing with a huge number of customers so it took us a while to be seated. We were a group of six and all really enjoyed the Chinese section of the buffet, really diverse and delicious, we also enjoyed the puddings, although my partner who is egg intolerant could not eat a lot of the desserts. Only downside was the Indian, the vegetable curries especially were very lacking with no depth of flavor, although the pakoras were delicious. Overall a very enjoyable evening but at the premium weekend prices, go hungry to get your money's worth!"

"Lovely meal, good portion and quality food with lovely homemade chips, beautiful area to sit outside with canal next to it.... HOWEVER... the menu prices online on the website are NOT the actual price... The menu states alot of the meals are £5, i.e gammon and chips, burger, cod and chips etc but this is not the case. When the bar lady told us the price after ordering I was abit shocked, thinking it would have cost £10 before ordering but when asking for the money she actually asked for just over £25. This is a BIG difference. We mentioned that the menu on their website does not state this, and she said she would get it sorted as they're no longer doing them meals at that price, the other bar lady knew. This should be a priority to sort or meals should be given at the advertised price? The place is lovely with a beautiful outside area, food is lovely and the waiting staff are helpful and friendly... I've had to knock a star for the misleading information on their website though... That being said, will probably be back.... Just sort the website out"

"A trip to Great Yarmouth is never complete unless you travel a few miles up the road to Norfolk's best chippy. Fluffy cod, delicious chips and fresh vegetable oil make this place a favourite of mine. To keep my cod and chips warm, I simply...turn my beanie hat upside down and put the bag in. I can then walk down to the beach and eat my amazing meal while it stays piping hot throughout. Just don't use too much vinegar as your head will smell later in the day. Washed down with an ice-cold Orange Tango, this certainly beats the overpriced pretentious food they serve up in remainer-infested, elitist Islington. Plus it's always nice to visit somewhere where no one recognises me and I'm treated like every other fashionable, middle-aged baldy. Am already looking forward to our return next week. The prices are great and I love the staff. Wit woo! See you soon! Dom x"

"Unfortunately, this place disappointed me greatly. I was asked to change the place that was previously indicated to me (reason my clothes); slow service (with little traffic); the staff does not understand English very well, which results in mistakes; the food is average; when paying the bill (for several people) I was cheated. Generally expensive, average and problems with service. Mistakes are unacceptable these days. Often a roadside place in the deep countryside offers a higher level of service, which has often pleasantly surprised me."
"During a recent visit to your restaurant, my teenage daughter placed our order, paid for the food and drinks, and then collected our beverages on the way out. However, she was mistakenly accused of not paying for the drinks by a staff member. After a brief check, it was confirmed that the payment had been made. The lack of apology from the staff member was quite embarrassing for my daughter and the other customers present. I suggest providing receipts to customers after they have made a payment to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future."

"It was lovely to see a restaurant that still serves chutney with their poppadoms—something that feels like a thing of the past, but I really enjoy it. I ordered the tandoori trout, while my friend had the chicken pasanda. We also shared mushroom bhaji, aubergine bhaji, and a peri-peri dish. The tandoori trout was delicious, and the pasanda was equally delightful. However, the aubergine was sliced a bit thick compared to what we usually have, so it wasn't quite as appealing as I expected. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, although the service was somewhat lacking. We weren't given menus initially, and it wasn't until they came to take our order that they realized it. They were also not very attentive throughout the evening. Despite that, I would definitely return."

"Went to this restaurant for a special birthday outing for my father with the family, there was 6 of us. I arrived late to the party but nonetheless still ate their with the family. Can't quote much on the service unfortunately as I only had time to eat the food before we had to end the evening. The food overall was extremely bland and oily. The special friend rice had some spice to it but that was it. It tasted like plain rice with pepper in it. The crispy seaweed was extremely oily, I felt like I was just drowning in oil. The food wasn't that hot. It was barely lukewarm to be honest. The prawn crackers seemed to be the only thing that hadn't gone completely wrong. Even the mini spring rolls were soggy. The food choice was very limited for a buffet (and they had no desserts) but I guess the only perk was that it included a single drink. My advice is to save your money and look for somewhere better other than spend it here. It wasn't worth a single penny in my case."
