"During a recent visit to your restaurant, my teenage daughter placed our order, paid for the food and drinks, and then collected our beverages on the way out. However, she was mistakenly accused of not paying for the drinks by a staff member. After a brief check, it was confirmed that the payment had been made. The lack of apology from the staff member was quite embarrassing for my daughter and the other customers present. I suggest providing receipts to customers after they have made a payment to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future."

Forgot our fish so we had to go back. Given the fish which was covered in chips that made the whole lot soggy. Won’t be returning.

The fish and chips at this restaurant were disappointing. The batter on the fish was excessively hard and greasy, with very little actual fish inside. The only saving grace was the chips.

Sausage was great but chips were a massive let down. Despite ordering only 20 mins after opening they were luke warm, all soft and stuck together making it very difficult to eat. Also despite asking for salt and Vinegar that was also lacking. Bland! Won't be returning.

Gone down hill. Chips are stodgy, and a lot are black from bruised potatoes being used. Order has been wrong past couple of times also. Has happened twice now, wont be risking it for a 3rd time. Young staff obviously dont want to be there, in turn running the place into the ground slowly. Used to be great food, shame.

Thought I'd try these as it's been few years since. Wish I hadn't bothered. Batter was chewy on the fish no idea how they managed that. My daughter had cheesy chips, which she couldn't finish and chicken popcorn seems to be missing the vital ingredient chicken!! My second daughter had veggie burger, she rated it 1.5 out of 5. Won't be returning ANY time soon, if ever.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. They didn't have bags, so I had to walk in the cold. When I realized they forgot my fish, I had to walk back. The staff then gave me someone else's order of fish and chips in a box. By the time I got home, the food was cold and I had to sift through the chips to find my fish, which was broken up. I will never be returning to this place.

Absolute terrible service from 2 members of staff over the telephone. Made an order through the app which then arrived incorrect. I called them up and was greeted by absolute disgusting attitude, so argumentative and even hung the call on me. I had to ring them back and attitude was even worse. When I mentioned their customer service is appalling I was replied with ‘really’ in a sarcastic way. Never will they have my custom again, the food was also disgusting, just like their attitude! Not even an apology was given!

"I know that cancellation policies are in place for a reason, for the 'no shows ' and for people who do not respect the 24 hour cancellation policy. I can only assume that this is the reason that this establishment has this in place. Sadly, on the morning of the booking, I had to rush my father to A and E. My husband rang to let the restaurant know as soon as we knew that we would not make it. This was because we cared and wanted them to be informed as soon as possible and provide them with the opportunity of securing another booking. My husband rang at his earliest opportunity which was about 9.30 am. We were aware that the restaurant does not open until 12 but we wanted to reach them as quickly as possible. The answering machine came on so my husband kept trying until he eventually got hold of someone. Once my father’s condition stabilised, I also emailed the restaurant to extend our sincere apology and to explain the situation. During the telephone conversation I am speechless not about the non-refundable deposit) but about how the restaurant responded. Even if the manager was not prepared to change our booking to another day, could she not have been more kind with her response? At least 'a sorry to hear about your father, but unfortunately... ' The whole telephone manner was rude, abrupt, and uncaring. I understand that business is business but please have a heart as well. This is why I am writing this review. We were not being rude or abrupt. This was about a family emergency and we were letting you know whilst in the midst of it all. This was a booking for two people, not a party of 10. Does the restaurant not operate a waiting list? Did they make every effort to find customers to replace our booking? Times are tough for many of us right now and a little bit of human kindness goes a long way whilst citing your well publicised terms and conditions."
