"Victors have changed it is more like a tapas style restaurant where dishes arrive at different time. Just very unorganised some people in the party received their food 30 minutes after the rest of the party had finished. Waitress was nice and very pleasant but the kitchen were unable to accommodate any slight change to a dish. Wouldn’t go back or recommend."

"I went out with a friend, and we shared several dishes, which was perfect. The staff was attentive, and the restaurant had a spacious atmosphere. It's one of the few places in London where you can actually hear each other without having to deal with loud music! My only complaint is that the lighting felt a bit too bright. I'm not sure if it’s because the space is quite large, airy, and predominantly white."

"I had made a reservation for a meal on January 7, 2023, using OpenTable in September 2022. Unfortunately, the restaurant had closed in September and OpenTable failed to inform us. The booking experience was extremely disappointing and the meal never happened, so I cannot provide a review or recommendation. It was frustrating that OpenTable asked for a review for a booking that we were unable to experience."

"When I first heard Hotel Chocolate had opened a restaurant in London, I thought two things – is this a joke and how could they possibly succeed in such a competitive industry. For that reason I’ve been ever intrigued since the day it opened, but like a lot of other restaurants, simply not got round to visiting them yet. Finally after nearly two years since it opened, I’ve made it to Rabot 1745 and I’m so glad I did, because the food here is certainly not a joke – its actually very serious indeed. While the name Hotel Chocolate has always been in my mind for its delicious praline truffles, I’ll never look at the brand the same again, instead I’ll be craving something entirely...read more"

"Banyan on the Thames is a nomenclatural inexactitude because the banyan tree is an inhabitant of the Indian subcontinent, rather than being passed off as a floating ficus on the Thames. Belonging as it does to the fig family, the original banyan drops spectacular aerial roots from its branches to the ground beneath its immense verdant canopy, producing a most unique treat for the eyes. The name of this tree has been appropriated by the Raphael on the Left Bank hotel in London for its restaurant. Maybe it aptly symbolises the roots of the restaurant being in the subcontinent. What strikes one about the place on first sight is someone's apparent obsession with the Medusa, signifying the Versace brand, which appears on every table top and virtually all over. The second striking feature is the artificial grass laid out both indoors and outside in the so called “garden” where there is a profusion of fake flowers, creepers and shrubs. It looks tacky and creepy and screams fake. The atmosphere in the so called garden, was not helped by the music played at decibels that are designed to hurt the ear drums. Food was fair to middling in quality, taste and presentation. The standard of service was reasonable. On the other hand, the location is magical. You can spend quite a while looking out through the large glass windows as the world goes by. The Thames flows quietly, more water under Battersea bridge, while you are people watching. And if you are feeling energetic, one has the opportunity of course to refresh oneself by striding along the Thames in the company of others who may be ambling, jogging and strolling. In conclusion, it’s really nothing to write home about"

"I had a bottomless sushi brunch with a friend a week or so ago and I couldn 't fault a thing! A chilled atmosphere with holiday vibes, a view of the Thames and relaxing music in the bbackground and of course, the star of the show bottomless sushi! The food was absolutely amazing, with something for everyone. Whether you are a sushi connoisseur or just wanting to try and see if you like it you 'll be in the right place either way. And if you haven 't had enough of the delicious sushi dishes to start with, there 's also a 'main ' course of crispy duck or aubergine salad! And if you still have space for desert you must try their sweets and fruit plate it 's an absolute winner! We didn 't bring the kids on this occasion, but there was definitely something for them too. The manager was always on hand to make sure everyone was happy and the head chef was popping in and out to meet and great people and to ensure everyone enjoyed their meal! Overall, a fabulous experience which i wholeheartedly recommend and will certainly be going back soon."

"We were two couples visiting London found this truly amazing Persian restaurant. The decor was welcoming, clean and bright. The staff were friendly and helpful and advised us on the dishes as we needed some help selecting from their menu... lots of lovely food...to choose from. When the food arrived... wow! The presentation was good but the taste was even better! We all loved every single dish and were very happy with the entire meal and experience. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely return when we can. Well done guys, thank you for looking after us!"

"We've visited Chino Latino several times, and we usually have a great experience. The quality of the food and drinks is consistently high! However, last night the service was a bit slow; we waited around 15 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order, and it took a while for the drinks to arrive afterward. On the bright side, there was live entertainment featuring a wonderful three-piece band; the singer had an amazing voice. Overall, it was a good visit, and we look forward to returning soon!"

"The food at Dar Marrakesh was once again absolutely fantastic, which is why I returned with my entire team for dinner after a long day of meetings. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service this time. The young lady serving us seemed annoyed to be working and was not very helpful when we asked about the menu. Despite the delicious meals, we had to wait almost an hour to pay our bill, which was unacceptable. I hope this was just a one-time experience as we had not encountered this type of service at the restaurant before."

"However, our initial experience with the service was not ideal. When I went to check in, there was no reservation under my name, despite having an email confirmation with the date and time of my booking. They explained that it hadn’t been entered into their system, so there is definitely room for improvement in their organization. Fortunately, the restaurant was completely empty, and they were able to accommodate us. I can’t help but wonder what they would have done if they had been fully booked—would they have turned us away? I certainly hope not, as this was an error on their part. Once we settled in, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with Prosecco, which was definitely worth the money. While I know this isn’t the hotel's fault, I would have appreciated a few more guests to create a livelier atmosphere, as it was just the two of us in a completely empty room."

"I want to be fair here, as service was lovely and we were not charged for the two mains that we had, but it doesn’t change the fact that it was disappointing. Duck leg was dry and pork belly was also overcooked and a bit slimy. Have to say that I loved the cooked apple that came with pork, but that’s not supposed to be the main star of the dish. Based on the texture of the meat, my suspicion is that the meals were reheated. Saying that, my liver parfait starter was delicious. Perhaps I’ll try this place again for a light lunch."

"Lovely little restaurant but we were ignored largely and took 15 minutes to take our drinks order. The food was lacking freshness with chicken dry from being over cooked and vegetarian moussaka was cold and bland. We didn’t say anything as no one came to ask how it was and no one came over until we flagged someone down to pay and leave."

"This was booked as a treat to help a friend who has had a medical diagnose that was not expected. The Crowne Plazza Hotel Reading, restaurant employee firstly said we have no booking and tried to show us back to the exit. We a asked him to check again he refused and said we had clearly made a mistake and walked away . We spoke with reception who had no issue finding our booking which said was made only today. Re confirmation of attendance was made today after email received asking me to do so.. Booking made 3-4 days ago Reception offered a free drink while something was rustled up!!. 30 mins later sat at a table in thorough fare outside the main restaurant layed up area. Food was poor , with tea served in huge builder mugs. No one checked on us re quality of food. On asking for bill to pay and name of hotel manager, restaurant manger appeared and said he would take 20% off bill. The charge of £25 pp but for x 2 was charged £40 was not good value for money. The attitude of restaurant staff was very unprofessional and un welcoming. The restaurant and foyer area were not busy at the time of this visit. Eventuality had name and email address of hotel manager. Restaurant manager unhappy about giving me this info as I have given you a discount already Madam Unfortunately a very poor experience from start to finsh."

"The service was particularly slow during our visit. We were the only customers in the restaurant, yet it took more than an hour for our meal to arrive. When the food finally did come, it was only lukewarm. The two servers seemed unfamiliar with the menu and had to check with the chef multiple times about what was available. Overall, the food was highly overpriced given the quality."
