"We did not visit this restaurant for the food, so we cannot provide a review on that aspect. However, we would like to share our experience with the staff. On a Sunday afternoon at 4:15pm, my friend and I were wandering around Cambridge city center when she needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, we did not realize the restaurant had already closed at 4pm, which was our mistake. Despite this, my friend entered the cafe hoping to use the facilities, but was rudely told to leave by a male staff member. Even after my friend promptly left the cafe, the staff member followed her outside and scolded her in front of other customers and locals. When we explained that we were unaware of the closing time and asked him to be polite, he responded by mocking us in a disrespectful manner. We decided to leave the area to avoid any further confrontation. The behavior of the staff was unnecessary and certainly unprofessional. It is disappointing to see a hospitality business act in such a manner. We cannot help but wonder if the situation would have been handled differently if we were male customers or accompanied by male partners. We had no intention of dining at this establishment, and after this experience, we will not be returning."
