"Myself and my daughter visited the shop, to eat in and enjoy a hot drink and a snack. When they were unable to provide items for a multiple item deal, I was rudely told that I couldn’t substitute another item in order to be afforded the same deal. My order was subsequently mixed up, and they tried to overcharge me for a hot drink. In light of current times we did not enjoy our visit to this coffee shop, and being one of our first attempts of heading out of the house, found the whole atmosphere cold. If you are looking for customer service I wouldn’t visit this place. The refreshments were tasty however."

I called in here for coffee and a mince pie just before Christmas. The coffee was excellent. The mince pie was superb with a lovely handmade buttery pastry and tasty mincemeat filling. I would return.

Found this by chance as visiting the bookshops BUT are we glad we did; the sausage rolls are better than Greggs (a previous favourite) and with coffee a fully enjoyable lunch was had. Back here next visit in October.

Freshly cooked food which was really tasty, in a good location with tables well distanced outside. Ordered 2 coffees both with syrup but they were sooo overly sweet and only tasted of the syrup that neither of us could finish them. View menu

Wouldn't bother to eat here again. It just looks grubby and the state of my teaspoon it was covered in stains as was the spout of the teapot. £3.40 for a small sausage in a bap with a tiny smidgen of margarine in the centre of one piece, no thanks! and a not very clean table sitting outside with all the smokers...

I came in for a take away, it was my first time here. When I asked for information I was given rude, patronising and sarcastic comments from what appears to be the manager or owner. Like many of the other reviews, you’d expect the service to match the prices. Set examples for your staff by being polite and considerate.

I am at a loss. I consider myself a kind human, and certainly strive to behave like one. For this reason I give one star. There’s really no other reason. I feel badly about that. If the prices matched the service, and food, I would maybe give 2 stars. I’m sorry but you cannot charge London prices and give a Margate standard. View menu

This is our second visit to Grind n’Bake, first time we found it by accident during the lockdown and second time made a point of going there, whilst we are in tier three. Excellent choice of delicious baguettes, and amazing sausage rolls served by cheerful friendly staff. Will look forward to be able to eat in, in the future.

Caramel cake was good but the bacon savory was not cooked enough in the middle and the white chocolate short bread just tasted of sugar, the chocolate wasn’t great quality. The drinks , latte and white hot chocolate were really nice tasting and hot , nice place to sit and staff were really good but overall a little too expensive for what they offered.

"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."
