"This was our first visit which I wish we had been sooner . The manager greeted us and escorted us to our booth which was ideal. He explained the menu and gave us some great information on the food. We ordered some recommended dishes and we wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and totally diffrent from your run of the mill indian restaurant. The portions were just right. We had red wine and bottled beer that was lovely. shame not draught but no problem. We carnt wait to return. We would recommend the Raj Minkey to anyone who appreciates a different curry experience. Great food good drink friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere."

"I tried this because it was featured in the Coventry telegraph as a Deliveroo award winner But I was in for a huge disappointment This is why u shouldn’t waste ur money food took an over an hour to arrive the sambar was...watered down and tasteless the Bombay sandwich was a thick slice of boiled potato, onion, tomato, a slice of processed cheese and mint sauce in toast the masala chips were not cooked enough and was just chips fried in old oil with a sweet sauce thrown on it the plain chips were also fried in the same old oil and not cooked my dad ordered the meal deal and they gave him the wrong dhal the rest of the food tasted horrible. The desert he ordered was nice Overall it was wasted. Very disappointed On a final note I think it was the husband that delivered the food and he was just plain rude"

"If you like good Indian food, you will love this place. we moved to the opposite a few months ago and went to this restaurant a few times uncertain what to do. it was hard to imagine an Indian restaurant that found its environmental foot in an old Victorian pub. However, after seeing the michelin guide and other food guides favored stickers, we finally decided to try it last week for dinner and were pleasantly surprised how beautiful, intimate and cozy the restaurant is. after selecting the different menus, my man treats us the tasting with matching weeps. the food was delicious, inventive, well dosed and well decorated, and the service was attentive and friendly. I liked the spicy selection of cocktails, with zimt, kardamom, chili or saffron as very original. the place was with the festive amount of abuzz. a true neighboring cheek."

"we have rejoined and as we come into the door, we are warmly welcomed by the young people who keep the door. they welcomed us on our table and we were really impressed by service and atmosphere! this restraunt is very well decorated. we ordered our popodums and they were the best we ever tasted and we have a long history of curries! they were as fresh as a goose blooming and the sauce was beautiful. the young polite waiter came with our net in a short waiting period. they wanted to die! absolutely amazing eating the owners came to us and had a friendly chat and told us how he did his curries. they could taste the flavor very and it was very mouthwater! I recommend a visit here! by brandon, walsall"

"I used to love going here, despite living an hour away. This was our first visit for some time, though, and I think it was probably our last. The quality of the food is really poor now. It's just not worth the cost and the long journey. The staff were brilliant. Service was good. The starters were nice. Desserts were also alright but there's very little to choose from now. The chocolate they now use in the chocolate fountain is awful. Really cheap and nasty. The stir-fry was burnt but undercooked. The guy didn't use enough oil and didn't cook it for long enough. The curries were really bad. The sauce is alright, but the meat was awful. One contained only bones and bits of skin. No actual meat. The others had really chewy, rubbery pieces of chicken. The lamb was just fat. They were really horrible. How can you eat that? The curries are the main meals and they can't use proper meat. And that's what you're paying for. I don't know why businesses cut back like this because why on earth would anyone go again after a poor meal like that? Whenever we used to go here, you'd always see lots of Indian families in large groups, but I don't recall seeing any on this occasion. That speaks volumes. I don't think it's worth the hour's drive for us anymore, so we'll give this a miss in future. Which is a shame because it used to be amazing."

"I almost don't want to give Lilu more praise as getting a table is tough already but for all the right reasons. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel exceptionally welcome. The staff were all very knowledgable and attentive without making you feel watched. The food arrived at a relaxed pace and was nothing short of sensational. This is most definitely not your usual indian restaurant. Both the food and service live up to it's Fine Dining strap line but in a friendly and informal setting."

"I had a fantastic dining experience! The food was delicious, especially the Shahi Paneer Masala, and the service provided by Shubham and Abid was excellent. The ambiance was enhanced by enjoyable music. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!"

"We were a group of five at Amber. We ordered 4 chicken dishes and 1 vegetarian dish. After the food arrived, my girlfriend and I (who had ordered the same dish) noticed that we were served fish instead of chicken. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he adamantly denied it and said that the chicken had been grilled beforehand, which may have altered the taste. When I asked him to try the chicken meat (which was translucent and did not have the texture of meat), he said he didn't need to because it was chicken. Besides the fact that it smelled strongly of fish, I found this to be unprofessional.. very disappointing. The others at my table who also ordered chicken dishes did not experience this issue, and the comparison of their dishes confirmed it. I can recommend the naan bread and the ambiance, but I will not be returning to the restaurant as I expected at least some sort of acknowledgement, especially since I returned the dish almost untouched."

"Zamana is our top choice for a meal. We absolutely love the food, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the decor is so inviting. The dishes are fantastic, especially the starters, tender lamb chops, chaat, and lahori boti. The lamb and chicken karahi paired with warm, soft naan are simply delicious. Don't miss out on the gajar halwa for dessert—it's a must-try! The owner is always welcoming, and they go out of their way to accommodate us, even during busy times. I highly recommend giving Zamana a try; you won't be disappointed."

"We placed an order tonight with Roshini and were pleasantly impressed by the service. As a family, we can be quite picky when it comes to Indian food, but we decided to give this restaurant a try. The food was excellent, with generous portions of meat in the dishes, rich flavors, and it arrived still hot. The staff, from taking our order to the delivery, was friendly and polite, and the food was delivered right on time. We will definitely be ordering from here again in the future."

"Unfortunately we waited for 1.5 hours for our main courses and no explanation was given until we asked. We would have liked to have been told what the problem was and also given some food to stave off the hunger. Otherwise the meal was delicious when it finally arrived."

"I visited this restaurant on Wednesday evening with friends to dinner and what a great experience. the team goes the extra mile to make sure that they eat and enjoy the atmosphere. eating is exceptional and they have the choice of buffet selection, of which was excellent or the al la carte menu. either they will not be disappointed. they make sure that if there is something they want differently, there is no problem, I wanted a dish that was not on the menu and had an additional heat with meat. wow a fiery little number on our table appeared and all I can say is that the curry was fantastic and hit all the big marker set (picture below). many thanks for a wonderful experience and we...read more"
"This restaurant in Leeds is truly top-notch. The decor is comfortable, cool, and spacious. The staff are friendly and the portions are large and satisfying. The prices are cheap and the value is incredible considering the quality of the food. The taste is amazing, especially when enjoyed hot and fresh. Even their delivery is quite good. I highly recommend dining in to truly appreciate their delicious dishes. The menu offers both general and vegan options. The only downside is that they only open after 5pm. However, this is definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in town - no matter what you order, you will be impressed!"

"came early to dinner, but was sitting immediately. only one woman was there from the beginning to the end of our meal. incorrect ordering was served on the table, however, when it was taken to the staffing of the server, it apologised and changed the order quickly. everything was good, but was not happy with the Biryani(prawn and huhn tikka) very sticky with granatapfel and rosin. Perhaps most customers in this restaurant enjoy this recipe of biryani. overall I would definitely come back to this restaurant."

"Visit with friends. Arrived and the restaurant was very empty at that time of the evening. Shown to a table that had been allocated to us. Asked if we could move to another and I was initially given the impression that that might be difficult. Just to say again that the tables were allocated rather than reserved. Another customer was making a similar request and after some back and forth we could both move. Not the greatest of starts. This restaurant specialises in Punjabi cuisine. That is what attracted us in the first place when reviewing the menu online before we booked. Starters were of a generous size but rather stodgy. Perhaps more filling for a starter than you might expect particularly if you had ordered a main course and were intending to have a dessert. In contrast my wives dessert was very small for the price charged. The main courses were very spicy even though we requested mild. I appreciate that is a preference on our parts but my wife felt the same. We went with a friend who was visibly sweating. He comment on his main fish course was that under the spice it was a little bland. A lady I took to be the owner asked if we were enjoying our main couse? We commented on how spicy they were and asked for some yoghurt to cool them down. This was supplied with no issues and in fact my wife's prawns (only three found sadly) and my lamb main course were taken back to the kitchen to have I assume some of the chillies taken out or additional yoghurt added. This was done very politely and efficiently. Just to add we have absolutely no issues with regional food differences whether they may be. Perhaps our preference in this instance for less spice takes away from the experience the restaurant seeks to give. However requesting when ordering a mild version, and when asked what we preferred as well, makes the customer right. To drink. A beer for me and our friend. A cranberry juice for my wife which apparently tasted like a squash. Service left something to be desired as well I am afraid. On our initial table three menus supplied. On the second only one and had to ask for two more. Table wiped down after our main courses but only one corner? Had to ask several times for the bill, having asked the lady above who dealt with the spicy food issues. In fact she was eating her evening meal behind us with other customers and jumped up and apologised when she realised she had not let us have our bill. The waitress who we dealt with initially about our table allocation asked at the end of our meal if we had enjoyed it and if we would return. Afraid we said no to both. We had a mutually respectable conversation as to why not and discussed the issues above and others. So a disappointing evening I am afraid. However this is a true reflection of our experience from our perspectives."
