"the third time when eating in social dhaba, great atmosphere, beautifully decorated, personal was really friendly and polite. they've checked us a lot, but not intrusive. eating was delicious, but as always we had ordered some appetizers and they were all quite spicy, even for the chili lovers of our party. we drank a lot of boundless water. "GAIL's Bakery was a phenomenal find on our recent trip to London. I'm a foodie from Portland, Oregon, so I always seek out quality food options for my family when we travel. We first stopped in for a loaf of sourdough bread so we could make quick breakfasts at the apartment. We're not big pastry eaters, but the mix of savory and sweet pastries were appealing, so we ended up coming back the next day for breakfast. We especially loved the ham and cheese croissant, but the sausage roll, pain au chocolat, and the 10 other things we tried were fantastic as well. We loved the coffee and the kombucha too. We came here six times in four days! I was shocked that we were all so satiated and had stable blood sugar eating from a bakery so often, but the sourdough process and the lower sugar content really matter. GAIL's was always bustling but we found seating, enjoyed the dog-friendly atmosphere, and staff that were willing to answer my quality and sourcing questions. The prices at GAIL's are fantastic for the quality. We just went for a similar breakfast at home and literally paid twice as much for things that were half as delicious."

"indian essence has a first-class call and a red letter experience gift of a 3-course dinner with prosecco for two we got high expectations. sad we were not awakened by the experience. we received a limited menu and the dry over cooked garn starter was certainly not what was expected. the ambiente was good and service ok. but £6.75 for a pint on beer was a bit above the tip."

"I was very disappointed with my meal. The Veg Sharing Platter, which the manager recommended, was not impressive. The lamb and seekh kebab were served cold, and the other items were merely lukewarm. Overall, it wasn't great. The service, however, was exceptional; our waiter was fantastic. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, as this place seems to be overrated. Additionally, we were charged for mogo chips that were never delivered, and now we have to wait for a refund."

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"

"we had a party of four to dinner in thali and we are able to go on a Friday night, so was concerned that it could not be as good as the reviews; that was quickly wrong. the wee are cheap, although a small selection we have skipped the appetizers, with taking off papadams, and just went for the main course. the table had lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka makhani and tandoori chicken. the lamb was excellent, spicy but not hot, tandoori chicken was nice, but a bit dry so that the mint sauce was required. "I was in Bath for the weekend with my family and we decided to order an Indian takeaway from Ruposhi on Saturday evening. The restaurant was only a 2-minute walk from where we were staying, so we decided to give it a try based on its reputation as the best in Bath. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. We had to wait for 2 hours for our food, which we were picking up ourselves, not waiting for a delivery. The quality of the food did not make up for the wait - the naan bread was burnt and tasteless, and the rest of the meal was lackluster. In my opinion, Ruposhi could learn a thing or two from Indian restaurants in Birmingham."

"Salaam Namaste is located down one of the many back streets of London, not far from Russell Square Station and has recently undergone a revamp of both its menu, and interior. The restaurant has won lots of accolades in its time and most recently become the winner of ‘Best South Asian Restaurant’ at the Asian Curry Awards and both The Guardian and Evening Standard have praised it in its time. I made my way down to find out exactly what head chef Sabbir Karim has up his sleeve to make this restaurant so well talked about. Chile has long been investing lots of money into the marketing of one its favourite grape varieties Carmenere, something they say works very well with the loosely termed ‘curry’ and surprisingly i think it does, on the whole though not with everything (unless you're drunk). Salaam Namaste serve a bottle from well know producer Concha y Toro, a must to go with your meal. Some poppadoms and chutneys arrived before the meal, something us British can't live without before"

"I came to the restaurant with my partner for my anniversary. The service that we received was outstanding. We went for the set menu with seven courses. Every course was well explained by our waiter as we were not familiar with the Indian cuisine. The food was extremely tasty and our waiter was excellent. He was busy with a large party, but we didn't feel neglected. When we booked we mentioned that was our anniversary. We had a dessert with Happy Anniversary written on it! How nice it is. We asked the waiter name, Vishnu. He was so friendly and professional. We will be back very soon."

"I went here with a friend for an evening meal. We were there for 7pm and it was very quiet, only about 5 other customers, so had extremely quick service. I had to ask which items on the menu were vegan, and the waitor was very helpful. Turns out almost everything is vegan, or can be made vegan, so there was plenty of choice. We started with poppadoms and pickles (only the raita isn't vegan), and the food came so quickly, we hadn't even finished these! For mains, we shared a dosa (large with good flavour) and a vegetable curry (it was top of the menu, but can't remember the name!)which was nicely spiced, although mostly carrot rather than the advertised exotic' veg! There were a lot of waitors around, so the service was really good. They were continually topping up our water and were quick to bring the desserts menu and bill. A really nice little restaurant, with a convenient location in London, plenty of choice and good value for money. I'll definitely be returning to try some more items on the menu!"
