We had starters, followed by pizza and lasagne for mains.... all really delicious. Excellent wine list too. Denise brought a birthday treat with candles and the staff to sing happy birthday.... "Been here for breakfast many times but never for dinner before. Atmosphere was as expected, the place has a shabby elegance of bygone days. We were very lucky and sat on a table in the window with wonderful views of the lead and the sea. There were a number of vegetarian choices that weren’t the usual pasta or risotto. Some thought had been put in to them. I would say that a few “tweaks” were needed with my choice of halloumichipsonion rings, mainly being a longer cooking time for the chips and halloumi. Partners steak was good evidently. Service was very good. Overall a pleasant evening that is good value. We would return"

"First time at the restaurant. We had cancelled our original reservation. The restaurant reached to ask why. I was impressed by that personal customer service so we booked for another night. We had the Burrata and ‘Nduja Topped Foccacia, the Lasagna and their signature dish, Penne Giardiniera. My husband and I both thought those dishes were average and probably wouldn’t order them if we go back. There are many other interesting dishes we would try though. The service is excellent and we hat was very nice. Some of their baked goods look good and we’d like to try breakfast there."

"Upon arrival, we were greeted by the welcoming staff and led to a lovely table for five by the window. We were the first guests in the restaurant, so it remained peaceful. The drinks and food came out promptly and were very delicious. The dining area was clean and pleasant. The only downside was that the restroom was located down some steep steps, but there was a disabled toilet available on the ground floor."

"For an evening where the restaurant was not overly busy the staff were very inattentive. It took nearly 25 mins to be offered a drink on arrival. In addition, whilst we asked for a break between our main and dessert after more than 20 minutes nobody came to enquire I'd we were ready or would like another drink even. We left and had dessert elsewhere."

"Went for a birthday dinner. The tomahawk steak was well cooked medium to medium rare in the center although i can't say its the best steak I've had in London. The waiter we had was friendly and attentive but a server spilled some drinks as he was bringing them to the table. They spilled over some of our things and on one of the people in our party and the server didn't seem too bothered or apologetic. He offered to get replacements which was the least he could do but they weren't taken off the bill as a gesture or anything. We didn't let it ruin our evening but it wss a shame the service and overall experience didn't live up to expectations."

"I was surprised to receive a text while en route to the restaurant stating that my table, reserved for 6:30 PM, would be needed again at 8 PM. Having to finish an expensive meal in just an hour and a half is quite disappointing! Fortunately, the restaurant was quiet on Wednesday evening, with only five tables occupied. However, given these conditions, we won't be returning. When I made the reservation, there was no indication of any time limit on our table."

"we had a nice table at the window, the staff was excellent and welcoming, we were efficiently and well served, the food was all good, we had several different dishes, all were satisfied with their choice. We had to follow grills and steaks with sweet, one of everyone, all were good. we had a booking for 6 o'clock, it was quiet to start, but a little quiet as it was filled, but it was okay. I asked to take the meat home that we did not eat for our dog, and it was acceptable and I got it to take home, the dog was electrostatic."

"Was seated upstairs of the pub for lunch for a group of 6. Table was set up nicely. I ordered the rib steak on the bone for £45. Medium rare with peppercorn sauce. It was cooked well and it was delicious! Plenty of meat for me. Sides were great especially the chips! Wasn't a fan of the creamed spinach I think it has a herb or spice I'm not used to. Broccoli was also tasty. Would rate 5/5 if it wasn't so expensive "

"I went here with my client and workmates for a Christmas meal. It was honestly like fawlty towers at some points, drinks forgotten at the beginning and took ages to come when asked twice about them, then when offered more drinks in the middle of...service one drink was forgotten and had to ask again for it twice before it appeared. Starters were very good. One of the parties food was part burnt so that bit was replaced, it was much better when it was replaced, but I’m surprised the burnt bit got sent out (the waitress admitted it was frozen and that’s why it was burnt?!? Mains were good, my pizza was nice but VERY small amount of toppings especially as I paid extra for rocket and ham. I sent mine back thinking they had forgotten the ham, that’s how little there was on there! Prezzo used to be one of my favourites to go to, but unfortunately I’m now put off going again!"

However, if you order a thin crust pizza, there is a small chance it will come that way. "I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed, the food was amazing. The Camembert starter was lovely, also came with a generous amount of toast, could easily have been a sharing starter. The steak was to die for, so tender with plenty of flavour, definitely one of the best I’ve had.
