"The Restaurant was a great find. Went there as a party of 3 for my birthday lunch treat today. The lunch menu has limited number of dishes compared to the evening one but are very well balanced. I have never seen kadhi chaval and channa jor garam on a uk restaurant menu, so well done for being so original. The restaurant is located nearest carpark 2, so best to park there. The restaurant decor has many traditional Rajisthani puppets hanging high above the restaurant entrance, nice touch. We ordered 3 starters (Street food) which we shared, they had the correct balance of sweet, hot and sour tastes, although I did compliment mine with additional tamrind, chilli and coriander sauces. We ordered different versions of the Thali. This was impressive indeed. The variety of items, presentation, flavour, temperature and amount of food served in the thali (the circular stinless steel plate) was perfection itself. Every dish had its own traditional Rajisthani unique flavour, could not fault it. Thank you Sohan for your personal courtesy you showed us, the table you had reserved for us, my birthday wishes and for having created a truely great, clean, restaurant with a memorable menu. This was amongst the very best food I have ever had, a great birthday feast. It was a true gastronomic delight for my tastebuds. The restaurant is now firmly on my agenda, a great find indeed. "This is our local Indian restaurant which has a reputation for high end asian food. We have frequented it since it opened but now we feel it has dropped its ' standards largely through lack of staff training. I tried to book a table for 2 but the website wasn 't working. I rang at 10 a.m. The call was taken by a rather unprofessional individual who simply said Hello? It sounded as if I 'd woken him up! When we arrived at the restaurant we were shown to our table but no attempt was made to pull out my wife 's chair for her, so I did it whilst the waiter looked on. The table was sticky, indicative of not having been cleaned properly. Later in the evening we saw first hand that by way of cleaning, the tables were simply scraped with a crumb scraper rather than being disinfected. Cutlery was placed directly on the table nonetheless. We were handed very grubby menus. My wife 's was annotated in pen. We suspect it was for staff use. We ordered drinks immediately so that we could have a drink whilst we read the menus and made our choices. They did not arrive until the starters arrived more on the starters anon . My wife ordered a Bombay Sapphire gin and Fevertree Mediterranean Tonic. The drink finally arrived with all the tonic already added so we never saw the bottle, it could have been anything, and in any event my wife would normally only use half the tonic to avoid making the drink too diluted. For starters we ordered popadoms for one and some onion bhaji bites to share between us. We stipulated that we wanted them served at the same time for that purpose. 60 seconds later the waiter reappeared with the popadoms entreating us to be careful as the bowl was hot. I suggested that the bowl would be much cooler by the time the bhajis were ready and asked that he take them away and serve fresh popadoms with the bhajis as originally requested. The starters finally arrived together. The dips for the popadoms were very thin. Of the 3 bhaji bites 2 were undercooked and the third so undercooked as to be almost raw inside. I couldn 't eat it and asked for it to be taken away. The waiter returned to say that the chef had apologised so that 's alright then! . I suggested that a more meaningful gesture would be for us not be charged for the bhajis and indeed we were not. For her main course, my wife had the Goan Prawns. Whilst tasty, they were served in a vast sea of sauce which necessitated a trawl of the bowl to get the prawns out. I had Chicken Tikka Madras. Again, very tasty but to my mind the chicken had had only a brief relationship with the appropriate marinade and an even briefer flirtation with a tandoor. Nonetheless this variant attracted an additional charge. Throughout the meal there were no signs of attentiveness from the staff. Unused and empty glasses were not taken away without prompting and apart from the usual irritating is everything ok? , waiters and front of house staff walked by without ever casting a glance at our table to see if there was anything they could do to help. Finally, throughout the evening the waiter and the manager would refer to us as you guys . After this happened for the umpteenth time I collared the manager and told him that referring to diners in this manner might be appropriate in MacDonalds, but we didn 't care for it in a Bib Gourmand restaurant with high end pretensions. Quite incredibly, the manager had no idea what that accreditation meant, nor that the restaurant he was working in had one! Taken in isolation, you might think that our grumbles were minor. However, taken together in an establishment that used to pride itself in not being just another curry house, they are disappointing to say the least. On previous visits we have commented on the fact that asian people obviously rated the place and attended in numbers. Not so this time, there were only 16 diners in the restaurant at its peak which is not impressive on a Friday night. When we pay £75 for one and a half starters, two main courses and a couple of drinks each, we expect better."

"We had booked K2H before their NYE menu came out and were really looking forward to the experience, having heard good reports about the food. The evening started well with a warm welcome by a lovely young lady with great personality. We were given menus, drinks orders were taken and promptly delivered and then we were forgotten about. More than 30 minutes later the same young lady returned to us embarassed that our food order had not been taken. She then took the order and departed. 20 or so minutes later our starters arrived. We explained that we hadn 't had our poppadoms/chutneys and were told they would be brought over. The starters were delicious however the poppadoms didn 't materialise. When the starters were cleared we again requested our poppadoms and then after approximately 10 minutes we asked a waitress for them. Another 10 minutes passed and we asked yet again. The poppadoms arrived but seconds later our mains arrived leaving no room on the table for our rice or naans. We therefore asked for the poppadoms to be taken away. Two of the meals were very tasty however my chicken tikka dish was not good. The sauce tasted like tomato soup (yes, Heinz! with some spices added and the lamb dish (not the Rogan Josh was similar with an extremely mild korma type sauce. My dish was advertised as 2 chillis and was exceptionally mild and the lamb dish was also extremely bland. The chicken dish which we were told was jalfraizi hot was very tasty andhot, as expected. My husband 's rogan josh was quite spicy (2 chilli 's in contrast to my extremely bland dish. The rice and naan breads were very good. Our third round of drinks also took forever to turn up and we had to ask for them several times. Following our complaints about the poppadoms/drinks after the restaurant had thinned out we suddenly got lots of attention from the staff which felt too little too late. Prior to that we truly felt that we had been forgotten. It did detract from our enjoyment"

"The service wasn't great. We had literally sat down and asked a wine list when another staff member came and ask where we ready to order. They return took our food and drink order together. Our starters arrived very quickly, before our drinks. The prawn starter was tasty but 6 tiny prawns and a bit of lettuce was not much for the price and the flavour was good. Drinks arrived as we where finishing our starters and we where asked if we could just pour the wine ourselves, which was odd but fine. Main course arrived very quickly once the starters where cleared. The service was abrupt staff arriving at the table and shouting the name of the dish. Then setting them down very awkwardly on top of cutlery, while telling the kids the plates where seriously hot. So now the kids where left to try move roasting plates! The staff seemed very rushed and under pressure. No one checked if we had everything we needed or was the food ok. Thankfully the main course was delicious monkfish curry was amazing and the beef fillet penne as really good too. Naan bread was so disappointing in comparison. Looked like it had been bought in a supermarket very cheap version and garlic butter poured over it. Not a good texture or taste. We sat with dirty plates for at least 30 mins. When the plates where cleared we where asked would we like desserts and we said no so I'll just bring the bill then? Also like great at least thats another table gone. No up selling of sides or drinks throughout the meal. The table beside us had the same experience, they gave up and got up and paid leaving dirty dishes on the table which where still there 30 mins later. The main course was amazing but the service was not good at all. Would definitely put me off returning."
