"I had the most amazing chicken masala here recently. I didn't even know this place existed. I had a business meeting in the restaurant and I am very impressed with the food. definitiw one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. they were looking forward to going back there, they also had a nice pinot grigio I forgot to get the name. the person with whom I had pasta and was also very impressed by their meal. as they can see from the photos, it was also beautifully presented."

"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"The wait to place our order was quite long, and it took even longer for our food to arrive. We ordered a shared starter, which came along with the two main courses. After we paid and were about to leave the restaurant, staff approached us to see if we wanted to charge the meal to our room card—this felt quite intrusive. To add to our disappointment, a service fee of £7.50 was added automatically to our bill. On a positive note, the food was good, and the staff were friendly and humble."

"a nice afternoon dinner. we booked for a table of 10 for a afternoon dinner and had a good time. it can be difficult to book online so we arranged the hotel marriott and they booked us in carluccios. tony called me the day before to make sure we were still before our booking. at the arrival the manager (a woman) did not know that we were pre-ordered, but her colleague has laid our table and waited for us. all staff were very nice and professional, service was prompt and friendly. the food was traditional Italian fare and well cooked. the drink selection was also very nice and the cocktails went well down. dephran took care of our table and was extremely professional and friendly. we celebrated a birthday and the personal brought a cake and extra cutlery, nothing was too much annoyed and they did it with a smile. the restaurant is spacious and has a beautiful feeling, with seating for groups, families and couples. it is located in the marriott hotel, which is a beautiful bar and lobby area next to the restaurant. there is a fee for parking, but there is a lot of space. if they are well cooked Italian cuisine in west london in a beautiful environment with good service then carluccio is definitely worth visiting. we will definitely visit again. thanks to all the staff."

"I organised a 60th Birthday Party there for myself on Saturday 1st April (No, this is NOT an April Fool! There were 33 of us there at lunchtime, and we had between us seven (7 different starters, seventeen (17 different main courses and seven (7 different desserts from the menu. There were absolutely no quibbles or problems with any of them (which speaks volumes about its kitchen staff, who were so amazing , and the waiting staff were superb and could not do enough to make it a birthday meal to remember. All of the food was seemingly excellent. On previous occasions I have waxed lyrically about the Tiramisu that they serve there, saying that it is the best I have every tasted anywhere, so a large number of my guests decided to try it; none said afterwards to me actually, it wasn 't as good as you said , so clearly I am not exaggerating. A fantastic and memorable occasion and I need to thank everyone who works there for making it such a success."

"visited here with 5 friends and after a bit of a shaky start (it took the waitress 3 attempts to get a white wine spritzer, with soda, correct) the meal was lovely. Although there were 6 of us we weren't kept waiting and the food order was correct as well as everyone enjoying their starters and main meals (we didn't have desserts)."

"If you’re looking for a classy yet affordable dinner out, Scicly Da Scalzo in Victoria is the place for you! I visited Scicily Da Scalzo tonight to celebrate my 3 month anniversary with my partner. Located next to Victoria coach station, this centrally placed restaurant maintains the cozy feel of being back in Nonnas kitchen. We started our meal with tender Kallamata oliver (both green and black were provided) along side some warm soft bread. For drinks I ordered a bottle of wine, these vary in price starting from house vino at 22.50. (Of course cost of living crises, so bought the cheapest). Service was excellent, all staff were itallian (or mainland European) which made it feel so authentic and they were able to give the best recommendations to us. We used a £50 voucher on the fork which was applied to the entire bill. A great place if you are deciding where to spend some well earned Yums ️."

"We have been to cotes many times 9 out of 10 times it has been excellent. This was a 19:30 Sunday evening birthday booking to be fair, a glass of kir royal was given to me on arrival. We ordered our food which on the whole was excellent.....The Ribeye steak was perfectly medium rare....The Breton Chicken was delicious and, once again being served as a spatchcocked half chicken, after a brief spell of getting two legs for half a chicken!! A couple of things spoilt the almost perfect evening; The opening page of the Cotes website is a crab...guess what? No crab maison! When asked if we needed any condiments for our meal........ No vinegar.!...How can you have a restaurant without vinegar?, You can't serve chips without vinegar...... Especially when there is a Co-op supermarket 100 yards away!! The other thing I would point out was that i didn't think that gratin dauphinois potatoes, which accompanied the chicken was french for slices of undercooked potatoes in milk! because that's how it came! For some reason the atmosphere, especially from the staff was fairly cold. As though something had happen earlier. On past occasions the staff have always been talkative friendly. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it felt as if something was wrong. There was a very large party in there, so it might have been the pressure of that. We like going to Cotes, and despite these small doubts will continue to visit. My advice to the restaurant?......iron out these small faults quickly, because the big guns....ie Wagamama, Mama Loves Spaghetti, Giggling Squid etc. are moving in!! also.......get some vinegar!! "During our first visit to Great Britain two years ago, we had breakfast at a Carluccio's and the experience was so memorable that when we returned in September, I insisted on going back. Although we tried another restaurant this time, the experience was just as fantastic. Carluccio's truly serves the best eggs Benedict I have ever tasted. I can no longer enjoy eggs Benedict in Canada because it just doesn't compare. Their beans are also delicious! The Earl Grey tea they offer is unique and unlike any others I have tried - I wish they sold it because I have not been able to find anything similar in stores. The servers are friendly and it's great to browse their selection of gifts and snacks after our meal. I recently tried their cocoa meringue and it was absolutely delightful. A meal at Carluccio's has become a staple of every trip to Britain for us."

"We are regular visitors as we knew the owner from many years at Rinaldis. We often get emails offering 20% off which means we can come more regularly. Last night there was some confusion over the 20% and we were charged for 2 course meals which we hadn’t had. We had shared a garlic tomato bread and had 3 pizzas. We queried the bill but it was as though they didn’t want to give us it. As a result, the young girl tried to sort it and even though the bill was cheaper than the previous bill, £6.15 service charge had been added. We’ve been coming here since the restaurant opened and I’ve never been charged service charge as I always leave a tip. So in the end the 20% was a waste of time and was barely a saving. The stress of sorting it all out was such a hassle so won’t be going now. There was an older guy there who may have been the manager but he didn’t say anything about it. When we left, nobody said goodbye or thank you. Disappointing."

"I had lunch in Goodfare Restaurant today and it was awesome. The menu had plenty of choices (that's why me and my friend we took forever to decide). We both decided to get the lunch menu, main course and desert. I had roasted chicken, which came along with gravy, potatoes and veggies, and apple crumble with custard cream. My friend got spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu she's half Italian so she's very picky with Italian food but she loved it. And I myself adored the meal. They also serve take-away meals and sandwiches. It's a big restaurant, we came early and it was half full already, but there was people waiting on line to seat when we left. So, yeah, it is good. It is popular. The...read more"
"Recommended to us by a friend, Italian Pizza Connection is an authentic Italian pizzeria with ultra friendly staff and gigantic, thin crust pizzas. Since it was very near our hotel in Bayswater, we decided to check it out. It had been a particularly long morning since we had just checked into our hotel (yes, we got lost on the way there), we had nearly nothing for breakfast, I almost missed my morning coffee (I am pretty much a monster without my coffee in the morning), and we were famished by lunch time. A giant pizza sounded perfect. As soon as we walked in, we got a big waft of baking pizza, rich tomato sauce, smells of freshly baked pizza crust and smokey smells of herbs and spices....read more"

"Confusing experience that I unfortunately regret how I handled it. Me and my friend went for dinner. As we were looking over what to eat we heard a couple who were a few tables down ask the waiter if the food was two for one on starters and mains. He responded yes. When the waiter came to our table I asked him the same question and he said yes. Me and my friend proceeded to order two starters and two mains between us(before I ordered I also asked him a further question if we could mix and match the orders. He also said yes) When the time came to pay only one starter and main was on the bill including our drinks. We paid the bill. Only then after the waiter asked if we had a card to show we get two for one on food. We were so confused at this point because not once from the start I enquired about the deal until we paid did he mentioned we needed a card to be eligible for this deal. In fact why even take payment before confirming. He spoke with his manager and they said we’d need to pay full price. I wish I hadn’t but I didn’t want to make a big fuss. It seems like a big oversight on the restaurants part not to check these things. In terms of food. My calamari included deep fried courgettes and bell peppers which I found baffling. I ordered calamari not calamari and vegetables. My friends pizza was underwhelming and the lemon spritz was not nice. Avoid if you can."

"I got the Salmon with baby potatoes and I have to say that price-quality is good. On the other hand, service is not great the restaurant was busy and the staff did not how to work under pressure so they were really confused and service was too slow. Since we got the first starter until we got the main dish we had to wait for several minutes, one waiter offer us a free drink for the inconvenience(when we ordered the free drink the other waiter told us that “free drink” means only coffee or limoncello…so I got the limoncello that it was terrible. Additionally, some glasses were dirty."
