"Went to Mings for our anniversary and was greeted by a waiter wearing a hoodie and a wooly hat.... I kid you not!!.......we were then dumped on a isolated table upstairs and forgotten..............after 25 minutes I went to bar and ordered a bottle of wine.....when the waiter asked what table we were at...I replied. the one you forgot about ...... the meal was ok but the battered asparagus had no tips just stems..... some Chinese background music would have been nice.... soft jazz didn't seem right.... all in all a bit disappointing!"

"Just had lunch. Roast of the day, roast pork with roast and new potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meat was fine but one of my roast potatoes was not cooked in the middle being hard to cut and the vegetables were over cooked and a bit soggy. However, my biggest issue is the totally inadequate wheelchair access to the pub. The ramp is excessively steep and the two doors are too close together to operate independently. I was pushing and found it difficult to negotiate, a wheelchair user on their own would find it impossible."

"The Chinese food here is just average at best, and they really need to rethink their pricing. They charge £68 for a duck and pancakes in a small village, which is quite outrageous. Even takeout and restaurants in larger cities don't charge that much for the same dish. We opted for half a duck, which was still a steep £35, and although it was decent, it came with insufficient pancakes and accompaniments. Save your money; there are plenty of better Chinese restaurants in the Holme Valley."

"Been going here for 13 years and it has generally been fairly good but in the past 3 years or so the standards have slipped significantly. In particular we ordered salt and pepper king prawns which were completely inedible pre cooked prawns re heated and dry and way over salty. Have given them the benefit of the doubt too many times now. Great shame that they don’t seem to care any more."

"Start with the negative, it was the first date night in over a year for the wife and I and as we regularly have cinnamon tree as a takeaway but never actually eaten at the restaurant, we decided cinnamon tree was the restaurant of choice for the evening. We are relatively new to the area and was a little surprised to see that the building looked run down and the sign only spelling out cinnamon r on the side. However, stepping inside took the dread away. The decor is minimal but stylish and inviting. Now we arrived when the restaurant had only just opened with a last minute booking, when we arrived there was only 2 people in the entire restaurant so we was astonished that the waiters decided to seat us right next to the pair of girls. Personally if I can see that a couple are coming for a meal I would seat them in a more private area unless there was no option, however there was plenty of option as the restaurant was empty. The next downside was the drinks, the wife had a bacardi and coke and I, a pint of Cobra. The beer was almost ambient temperature and the wife's bacardi tasted slightly off as in the coke was flat and bacardi tasted like it had been sat there a while. Anyway, looking past these issues we felt uneasy as we could hear the girls conversation and felt we could not relax and have our own conversation as they would obviously hear ours. Not a date night feel at all. The food was amazing though, thoroughly enjoyed it, I ate until I was in agony and couldn't fit any more in, I was determined to complete everything even my wife's portion as she felt too uncomfortable to eat having practically been sat on the same table as the only other people in the restaurant. We will return for a date night and ask to be seated in a more private location if the restaurant is quieter, the food is delicious and excellent value for money. We will also continue to get takeaways from this establishment as it is our favourite Indian restaurant in our area by far. Definitely recommend a visit here, but ask for a more private table if you are on date night!"

"I traveled from East Kilbride to visit this restaurant after hearing great things about it. This clean and comfortable family-owned restaurant had spacious tables, which set a great tone for our dining experience. The owner, who was very friendly, greeted us and asked about our preferences for curry dishes. He offered suggestions from a unique menu that featured different dishes than a typical curry restaurant. We tried a variety of starters and main dishes, all of which were outstanding. The Bhel Poori, consisting of pulses, nuts, red onion, and coriander in tamarind chutney with mini poppadoms, was fresh with a refreshing lime flavor. The '65' chicken, marinated in garlic, chilli, and curry leaf with butter and cream, was similar to a pakora and truly delicious. For mains, we enjoyed the Chicken Chettinad and Lamb Passanda with rice and Onion Kulcha bread, all of which were also exceptional. We couldn't resist trying the Ferrero Rocher Ice cream and Pistachio ice cream from the dessert menu, both of which were deemed the best ice cream by my wife, an ice cream enthusiast. The quality of ingredients and flawless cooking techniques were evident in every dish, and the fair prices reflected the outstanding quality. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a unique and delicious curry experience. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes next week!"

"I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is amazing, the restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and the staff are friendly and polite. I recently spent over 4 weeks in the hospital and am now homebound and bedridden, so a friend kindly picks up takeout for me since I live outside the delivery area. Last Thursday evening, I enjoyed tofu with mixed vegetables, asparagus with cashew nuts, mixed vegetable fried rice with egg, and chips with satay sauce. My friend opted for mushroom fried rice, while sneakily stealing some of my asparagus! We typically also order edamame and vegetable spring rolls for me, and chicken in black bean sauce and hot and sour soup for my friend. Tonight's meal will consist of tofu and mixed vegetables, vegetable gyoza, satay sauce, egg fried rice, and a side of chips. I cannot express how much I love the food here! While it may not be the most affordable takeout option, I am more than willing to pay higher prices for exceptional quality and flavor. As a vegetarian for 45 years, I have struggled to find good vegetarian options in traditional restaurants, but New Regent has been a lifesaver for me and my carnivorous friends. The service is top-notch, and the average price per person for dinner falls between £20-30."

"We were holidaying nearby, and it's become something of a family tradition to try out a local Thai for some takeaway food. This place seemed to have good reviews and it didn't disappoint. All the food was tasty and good quality. Four stars not five purely because we've had a lot of Thai food over the years and five stars is reserved for very few places at the very top of their game but absolutely no criticisms of this place. Would happily recommend and/or visit again."

"This was our first visit to the New Inn after recently moving to the area. We visited on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy but we were quickly shown to our table and given the menus. The service throughout the evening was excellent. We had the set meal for 4. All the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Desserts and coffee were included. The bill, including drinks was around £130. I would certainly recommend the New Inn and we will be back before too long."

"I and my two grown up children went to Thai paragon and I was very unhappy with the attitude of the staff. I was shown to a bare table despite all the tables around having lovely tablecloths etc I asked if I could sit at the next table which was nicely dressed and told over the waitresses shoulder as she walked off ‘no that’s for bookings’ I had booked over a week earlier! so we were the only people in the entire place sat at an undressed table, I certainly felt that the staff , especially the man who appeared to be in charge, looked down their noses at us, despite us spending £80 on the early bird menu. It is a shame as the food was lovely but I will not be visiting again, there are many other lovely restaurants in culcheth that know how to treat customers I felt really uncomfortable throughout and the man in charge did not once crack a smile, asked how our meal was or thank us as we left! Very rude"

"The salt and pepper tofu was incredible! It came in a large portion and was packed with flavor. There were excellent options for vegetarians, and my partner really enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken. The prices were reasonable, and we didn't have to wait long at all; we went in, placed our order, and the food was ready in just 10 minutes!"

"Order was delivered 30 minutes later than the end of the estimated time frame and it was cold. I had to reheat it in the microwave. The just eat app didn't give me updates on the delivery time either, it just said the courier was waiting at the restaurant but when I called the restaurant to ask how long it would be they said it had already been collected. Then it just arrived. App was literally updated about 60 seconds before the doorbell rang. And when I opened the food I discovered it was cold. Not the best experience."

"While on holiday in Westbury with my dad, we decided to enjoy a Chinese meal and chose this restaurant based on its high ratings on TripAdvisor and Google. It's easy to see why it receives such praise. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, certainly among the best Chinese restaurants we’ve visited. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good Chinese meal. I also suggest making a reservation, as it can get quite busy. When we visited, there were only a couple of tables occupied, but it started to fill up by the time we left. I would definitely return. - Keith Parking: Plenty of spaces available on the street, so no issues there."

"It was loud and busy when I visited. The ramen was good, but my order got a bit mixed up. I asked to remove the spicy oil, but still add the kimchi despite it being spicy. What I got was the opposite the spicy oil seemed to be there, but the kimchi was missing. The taste was still good, but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed, since I was excited to try kimchi Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Beef Ramen"

"This little gem is located in Balham, South London. I visited with a large group of friends for a very special event. Shazia the manager is a delightful, smiley, welcoming host and an outstanding chef! Everything is homemade and is really fresh and flavourful as a result! I especially enjoyed the crispy fresh Poppadoms with mango sauce and lamb kebabs (which had a delicious kick to them!! . My mouth is already watering reminiscing about the traditional lamb curry, chicken jalfrezi and saag paneer!! A definite try is their dessert Gulab Jaman aka 'Grandma 's Recipe ' the texture and flavour is to die for!! I would rate Punjab House 5 Star all round The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation (which you can watch , presentation, to great value for price, very pleasing indeed! Atmosphere was very comfortable and I did not feel rushed at all!! Already booked to return with different circle of friends!! I simply can 't wait!!"

"This is by far the worst meal out experience I’ve had in my life which has driven me to leave this review as soon as we left sitting in my car. They took other people’s orders before ours and totally forgot us, waitress was getting frustrated at us when we asked questions to do with the menu (also didn’t make eye contact but just huffed and puffed, they brought us a number of wrong dishes that they later changed and my sons dish happened to be wrong that I realised halfway through him eating it. Steve (their waiter and a very nice man) acknowledged it was wrong and said it would be knocked off the bill, the man at the bar along with the female waitress who took our order proceeded to literally shout at me because we notified them about that dish at the end. To start with, she said it was right until she checked with the kitchen, but still she wouldn’t apologise. Never have I felt that disrespected and verbal aggression towards be by restaurant workers. Even 2 other tables next to us told my wife that the service had been terrible. And just to top it off, mine and my wife’s dishes had no flavour whatsoever! Avoid this place, it’s expensive and you’d get a better meal and service at your local takeaway. Photo is the dish they tried to tell us was ‘house hot spicy chicken wings’, when Steve (their nice waiter) clearly told us that it was their ‘house Cantonese wings’! I know Chinese, and this dish was clearly Cantonese sauce!"

"I have Thai food pretty much anywhere I go, and have been about Thailand. Reviews were great here grabbed a take away but I was a wee bit disappointed. The chicken starter in the leaves was dry and the pieces were very small given the price I'd avoid that starter. I bet the others are better. The stir fry dish I had was very watery. Not sure about the crispy noodles. I'd stick to sticky rice if I plan on going again"
