Tender chicken pieces cooked with aromatic ginger and spices, creating a flavorful and savory dish.

"Years ago, and before going veggie, I'd had lots of decent meals at this restaurant. We were so excited to visit Spiceland, because yes, they have a separate vegan menu with lots of choice. The service was great and very friendly. The restaurant is immaculate. The food arrived piping hot, but just didn't quite hit the mark. Some of the food lacked depth and flavour. Not sure we'll be rushing back. Updated from previous review on 2023-05-21"

"Diwali wasn’t my first choice in North Camp as its Google reviews scores are the lowest in the area. There’s a lesson here: don’t always trust the numbers – it’s without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in the ‘hood. I’ve dined here at least once and often twice a-week whilst staying in Farnborough. The food is enjoyable, especially the Chicken Chettinand (with extra green chillies), Tawa and Naga when accompanied with Jeera Rice (which itself is not often offered by Indian restaurants). Diwali is also reasonably priced with a curry rice often being a few pounds less than other establishments, and given the food is good, represents very good value indeed. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and every visit is a pleasure. So, if you’re reading this you can be sure I’ll be returning when in Farnborough and, if you’re thinking about a visit I’d recommend it."

"the menu could be somewhat larger, and it could be two portion sizes for the choice, but otherwise, error-free and consistent standards. they know that there is an effort in the preparation of the food when the frying sprouts are plucked at the front and back, the fried wobbles are made to house and the taste healthy and fresh. I am not a fan of chicken soup, but I love the grilled noodle soup and the salted vege and tofuss soup, which also has a good mushroom taste. good asian aromas and quality. with Singaporean and Malaysian connections, so for those looking for grilled suppenaromen similar to in SG/MY, this could be as good as in Britain."

"Booked for double birthday, party of 7, nice big table and plentiful prawn crackers before we ordered. Super friendly staff, one in particular (presume owner was so cheerful and made sure everyone was having a good time. We went for a set menu, blimey, so much food! Starter selection was good, although not keen on the crispy basket things, not my taste. Duck was good, pancakes a plenty so didn’t run out. Nice breaks between courses as well so you could let the previous one go down before the next. Main dishes were great, the Thai curry was fantastic as were the king prawns. So much food there was enough left to box up for the teenagers dinner the following day. Meal was finished off with an ice cream with umbrellas and candles for the birthday people, and everyone in the restaurant was encouraged to sing along (courtesy of the owner! . Embarrassing? Maybe if it had just been us celebrating but it seemed every table in that night had a birthday so it was sung at least 5 times, all good fun!"

"We tried this place for the 1st time ever, please don't be put off by the location or outside appearance which is a natural instinct for most people, id driven past for years and paid zero attention...the interior is homely but the staff quickly put you at your ease, we opted for the all you can eat buffet, it was very high quality for £14.99pp, highly recommend the crispy chilli chicken which arrived piping hot, and was 100% homemade and you CAN tell the difference immediately, drink prices were average you would find in most restaurants, service was fantastic the lady looking after us was mind blowing, really lovely, eagle eyed and couldn't do enough, our 4.5 year old twins were a little under the weather so not their usual angels but she wasn't fazed at all....small tip...you make want to take your time and even skip the starter platter as the mains courses are so much better than any other Chinese restaurant that I have tried, absolute perfection and the fact that the restaurant is a little jaded only adds to the charm...brilliant..."

"We absolutely love this restaurant! We used to frequent their sister location in West Kirby, which we adored, so we were thrilled to discover this one here. The all-you-can-eat buffet is incredible, offering the best Thai food we've ever had. The staff is also incredibly kind. Definitely worth a visit, or many visits actually. You won't be disappointed!"

"This Chinese/Thai restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It was my first time dining here and I would definitely come back again. We started with sweet bread and chili sauce, which was the most delicious bread I have ever tasted. Other restaurants should take notes! We also had prawns wrapped in filo pastry with chili sauce, black beef, fried rice, sticky rice, and pork fillet. Everything was delicious and you won't be disappointed dining here. The chairs were comfortable, the restrooms were clean, and the service was exceptional. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. 5 stars from me!"

"I visited this restaurant on Friday for an early weekend dinner because it was conveniently located near where I was staying and looked appealing. We were greeted by a friendly young waitress at the bar and placed our drink orders while we decided on our food. The menu looked impressive with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options. I chose the 'vegetable and bean chilli' while my friend opted for the gammon. The gammon was well-cooked and delicious, but unfortunately, the chilli left much to be desired. It was watery and lacking in flavor, with no vegetables or meat substitute - just beans in a sauce that resembled canned tomato soup. I believe the chef could benefit from more effort when preparing non-meat dishes. I would be willing to return to the restaurant to train the chef myself, so they can improve their skills and create more flavorful dishes with the introduction of herbs and other essential ingredients. Despite the disappointing food, I would give the restaurant another chance to try different dishes and see how they compare. I also want to commend the waiter and waitress for their excellent service, as they were both very helpful and friendly throughout our dining experience."

"First time visited for a family celebration. We didn’t realise how busy it would be which we admit was our fault but where we were sat was dark and dingy, the noise was absolutely HORRENDOUS,the food was not good at all. After we had finished or should I say left our food we sat forever to have the plates and empty glasses to be removed and in the end had to go to the bar and ask for someone to clear the tables. This is not the service we expected especially from a city centre venue. The staff we had any dealings with were not friendly which didn’t help how we felt our experience had left. Sadly we would not return and would not recommend to our friends."

"This is one of the hidden gems in Torquay! I's rare to find a well run family business but this one exceeded our expectations on a number of fronts. Firstly the young daughter greeted us with a warm friendly smile and we were seated promptly. The father was also very polite and welcoming and brought us out some delicious complimentary Pholourie Verna’s popular Apple Garlic Trini dumplings. The food was amazing and fresh and came out promptly. We had the Chicken curry Rotti, coconut rice and peas, salad, Potato and Chick pea Rotti and Fried Plantain. All of which were to die for! My only gripe is that I cannot manage dessert (my own fault)! Although we didn't get to meet Verna we have to say her cooking was magnificent and you can tell from the presentation and taste of the food that she is passionate about cooking her customers high quality and great tasting food! I would also like to add that all the staff there were very welcoming with our young 5 month old baby girl, who occasionally screamed with glee. And last but not least, the restaurant also offers a lovely view of the harbour. Too bad they are planning on retiring soon, so get there before they do!"

"We had a mixed visit this time. Myself and my daughter come here when we can. We had two slight negative situations happen. I get them out the way first. I have a fish allergy, so as always the manager came to take my order however another staff member had taken my daughters order. We both ordered the same Chicken gyoza and ginger +chicken udon noodles. My daughter 's food came first and my came a bit later. (This is normal practice especially as the chef has to clean everything to cook my food! As my daughter started to eat she noticed her Udon meal had a shrimp in it. (There are 2 Udon noodle meals on the menu, one with chicken and shrimp the other with just chicken The manager came over and took the meal away and got the chef to cook another Udon meal. Not the best, however the situation was handled well by the manager. The second negative was more of a technical one. When you get seated you get told your table number and shown a QR code which takes you to an app to pay.So to you don 't have to wait to catch a staff member. At the end, I went to pay and entered my table No but someone 's else 's food order came up. I tried a couple of times but in the end we had to get a staff member so we could pay. No idea what happened there! Now the positives. Waga:s is our favourite Dad+daughter day out. We love the food and love the O2 venu. The food (when it 's right is the best and comes freshly cooked. The Gyoza 's are our go to 'starter ' with the Udon noodle Ginger chicken as a main. It didn 't disappoint this time. So fresh and piping hot. The female manager (sorry, didn 't catch your name was a delight and extremely polite. Even when I started waffling on about my fish allergy the female manager was polite and attentive. The other members of staff who served us were also polite. All in all a good lunch even with the slight hiccups. The four stars is because of the order mix up!"

"Absolutely amazing service and and food. Highly recommended for food that can't be replicated at any other restaurant chain that creates a flavour explosion in every mouthful, our server Noula wad absolutely perfect, we never had an empty glass nor did we need to even shout her over, even with a packed venue, I'm shameful I can't give 11 stars for the service and food I've received. Second to none once again Wagamamas comes out on top for friendly attentive service and food"

"me eagerly anticipating my meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was very inviting and I could tell that the attention to detail was high. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that we had a great dining experience. The dishes that we ordered were beautifully presented and tasted even better than they looked. I would highly recommend Kai to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience."

"Can't fault this place at all. Booked a table earlier in the day, turned up on time, food came out quickly and was good. Steak and ale pie had decent pieces of steak in it and Emma thought the sausage was really good. Emily enjoyed the kids meal and absolutely loved the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream Betty, our collie loved meeting all of the other dogs Will definitely go back next time we are up that way Didn't stay there. Popped in for some dinner. But had to rate them on it."

"We went to this restaurant for dinner in the evening and after reading some reviews, we decided to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how rude the bar staff were - very unprofessional and unhelpful. We considered finishing our drinks and leaving, but since it was late, we decided to order. What a mistake that was! The Lamb Shank appeared to be frozen, the mashed potatoes were instant, and the green beans were from a can. It is best to avoid this place at all costs."

"Simply excellent Chinese food! In my experience a good Chinese takeaway is actually a very rare find. Chinese food is so often greasy and over-flavoured not so at the summer palace! We have tried many of the Chinese takeaways in Padiham and yet over...the last three years we keep coming back to summer palace simply because of the quality of the food. Service is generally very friendly, especially so recently. We live locally and always choose takeout, because the restraunt’s decor itself is a bit shabby: the lighting is quite harsh, there is yellow high vis tape tying things together and it feels like it hasn’t been refurbed in 20 years. But we don’t care! The takeaway food is thoroughly excellent, and so we keep going back (despite the slightly higher prices) and we want this business to thrive and succeed."

"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"We dined on the Indian tapas menu on a Friday night, having made a reservation in advance. It's a cozy place, so I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of house red for £13, and the selection of curries was excellent. The ginger and kalka curry was particularly flavorful, while the chasni wasn’t to my taste. However, the garlic chili chicken was fantastic! Overall, it’s a must-visit in Ayr."

"I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the special house chow mein and was disappointed to find that there was no chicken or prawn in sight. The dish was mostly noodles with small pieces of tough beef and greasy pork fat. The ginger chicken was slightly better, but the portion was small and filled with inexpensive vegetables. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the egg fried rice did not actually contain any egg. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant."
