"Diwali wasn’t my first choice in North Camp as its Google reviews scores are the lowest in the area. There’s a lesson here: don’t always trust the numbers – it’s without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in the ‘hood. I’ve dined here at least once and often twice a-week whilst staying in Farnborough. The food is enjoyable, especially the Chicken Chettinand (with extra green chillies), Tawa and Naga when accompanied with Jeera Rice (which itself is not often offered by Indian restaurants). Diwali is also reasonably priced with a curry rice often being a few pounds less than other establishments, and given the food is good, represents very good value indeed. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and every visit is a pleasure. So, if you’re reading this you can be sure I’ll be returning when in Farnborough and, if you’re thinking about a visit I’d recommend it."

We had a work meal here this evening and everything was fantastic. Food was great, service was top notch and the price is really reasonable. Definitely recommend it

Everytime I'm visiting Farnborough, I have dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Great service and even better food. I simply love the spicy Naga Chicken. Highly recommended. 5 stars, AAA, 1

This restaurant never disappoints. My wife loves the Chettinand dish, but the variety of food available is always excellent. If you decide to order takeout, I recommend picking it up yourself and arriving before the requested time. View menu

Food was okay. Ordered papad, Veg and Chicken momos, chicken and lamb biryani. Chicken momo was good but veg one's outer cover was not soft. Biryani was not upto the point, it was tasteless although served with peas and beans curry. Ambience and service was good.

We made a very last minute, very large, and unique order for our school PTA event. The staff were so accommodating to take on the order when another place had let us down. The service was excellent, the food was utterly delicious and the value was fab. Thank you Diwali and we will defo be coming again. (so will all of the people at the event!

We have been ordering from Diwali for 5 years now. Food has always been consistent. Have never had a bad meal. Their Chettinand is my favourite and is an absolute must. I have recommended it to so many family and friends. Delivery time is always hit and miss but good food always comes to those who wait. Thanks for a great experience everytime! View menu

Takeaway ordering was simple and delivered slightly ahead of time. Food was OK, but I felt it was anglicised rather than authentic. Quality was good, but nothing to rave about. My personal opinion is that there are better Indian takeaways in the area, but I'm not saying you shouldn't give them a try. Just not what I expect after enjoying genuine authentic Indian food in Wolverhampton. By all means give them a try; they may be what you're looking for and I cannot fault the service.

Not bad, but there are better options in the area. The Lamb tikka was a bit tough, but flavorful. The Papudoms were fresh. The Onion bhajis were slightly undercooked. The Garlic chicken (vindaloo hot) didn't taste very authentic. The chicken was dry, but there was plenty of sauce without any oil. The Mushroom rice (extra mushrooms) was alright. In general, if you're looking for a large portion but aren't too concerned about authenticity, you might enjoy it. The delivery person was friendly.

"Update 2023: Against my better judgement I thought I’d give this place one more try, and it was a mistake. The food was actually worse than I remembered. The fish was freshly cooked this time which gave me false hope of an improvement, but unfortunately I was to be left disappointed again. Had to be the greasiest fish I have ever been served. The batter was completely saturated, was very thick, and had broken into pieces during cooking so the oil had soaked the fish inside too rather than steaming it inside a light, sealed batter case how it should be. I now feel like I’ve drunk a litre of cooking oil. The chips were soggy, limp and also extremely greasy with not the nicest flavour. No complaints about the mushy peas though they are evidently capable of microwaving those without ruining them. The portion sizes of the cod and especially the chips were very large for the price £9.50 for cod, chips and mushy peas) but this was a definite case of quantity over quality. I wish I had gone somewhere else instead and will not be returning. I would recommend that the owners pay a visit to Silver Sea in Frimley Green for an example of how properly cooked fish and chips should be and hopefully pick up a few tips. Original review: Not great. The fish is pre cooked rather than being cooked fresh to order, and kept warm in the counter for who knows how long before being served. Heavy, greasy batter. Average chips. Not recommended probably the worst fish and chip shop in Farnborough, which is a shame as it is my closest one."
