"We arrived at the parking lot on time. I assured my partner that there was no problem as I had booked a table. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was completely full. The sofas were occupied, and we were told there would be a 5-minute wait."

"The food is great but giving it one star for the service, the waiter serving us made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome. Not too sure if he had a bad day at home but if I am paying a premier price for the food in an otherwise grim looming restaurant I expect basic courtesy from the staff, good food is not enough. We were told our table was booked after 9PM and will need to leave by 845PM. While ordering desert at 8PM he started looking at his watch. On asking the portion sizes for ordering the right amount the answer was a plain and rude “I can’t tell you that”. It was a very odd experience and I am certainly not stepping foot in that restaurant again. All in all, my experience was bad due to one bad egg, if you are reading this I would say the food was really good and I had been there before, but that certainly was my last trip."

"I had some of the dishes on this vegan menu and they were all really good, appetizer and net. I recommend the aubergine. the employees in this restaurant are always so friendly and chatting for me! the owner told us he was inspired to create a vegan menu from his sister who is vegan. this place costs definitiw much more than they expect, especially given the amount of cheap Indian food they can get in london."

"the best curry I've eaten for a long time, I ordered the chicken bemisaal and it's as it explains incomparable in the menu. when it first arrived at the table, the aroma of zimt and nelke mouthwater was and yet once I started eating, it was not at all about powering. the chicken was perfectly boiled to the melting point of melting in mouth and the perfect balance of everything. I went with my family and was very impressed by the advice offered for the likes and dislikes of my young children who, by the way, cleared their teller!. the restaurant itself is very open and spacious and currently follows all Kovid restrictions with clear signs everywhere. we can't wait, back very soon."

"Visits Monday night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great! We drove through Reading and stayed at the hotel (one night), so wanted to eat something on site. We had read a few reviews that say it was something meh, but our experience wasn't that! We had both appetizers that we did not regret later on because of the quality, but because none of us could finish our net, which was absolutely wonderful!!!! The butter Chicken sauce was completely divine! Upstairs when out, the house Pinot was cold and sweet and the Cobra beer was fizzy. Both perfect compliments for our meal. If we go through reading again, we would absolutely not hesitate to eat there. 5 stars of us!"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"My opinion of chilli pickle has diminished almost as much as their portion sizes. Service was fine but the fOoD, what happened? We paid £60 for two mains, two sides and a starter. The sides were bigger than the mains, and we just bought rice and a supermarket bought naan bread. Nepali Hot wings Achari paneer sizzler Sigri Kesar Jingri Coriander and garlic naan Pilau rice The starter was decent (Nepali Hot wings) but the mains were ridiculous. Maybe this place is run by a team of rabbits, I'm not sure why else I got charged almost £20 for 6 prawns and raw spring onion (Sigri Kesar Jinga). it appeared as if someone had literally walked outside grabbed them, and stuck it on a plate. The Achari paneer sizzler featured 4 slices of paneer over a handful of red onion and was £14. Great place if you're on a diet and have too much money because this was about 200 calories. Would've been quicker for me to throw £60 in the bin than waste it here."

"The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, giving me a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of India. The music is soothing and enhances the dining experience without being intrusive. The service staff is friendly and very polite, contributing to a wonderful experience during Diwali night. Thank you!"

"Been going here since it opened and always felt it well priced, imaginative food and good ingredients. Last night it could only claim to be one of the three. The flavour of the scallops in my starter was killed stone dead by the spicyness of...the XO sauce which was good in itself, but the scallops belonged nowhere near it. My main of fish cakes and prawns was a disaster due to the poor quality of the ingredients. My hake a grey colour and mushy, not the firm white glistening piece of fish I would expect for a dish. The prawns also soft and mushy, clearly not fresh. The fish cakes were in fact potato croquettes fish in these was nonexistent. My dining partners dish of lamb was dry and as a slo cooked piece of meat one would expect the opposite. I suspect not freshly made for it to eventually dry out like that. His gnocchi hard from being re heated and fried, the element of mint was there but fading. Service was average as our table piled up with empty glasses and an empty water bottle I had to pile them to the side to make it obvious. White and rose wines are chilled to death. Its a rather annoying trait that they swirl ice in each glass to make it cold then pour refrigerated wine into it. A Viognier I ordered was barely recognisable. The rose I suspect oxidised by living a long lonely life in the fridge. It was drinkable though. Trip advisor need to update prices here. Starters are and mains start at for chicken and for veggie option but most with fish and chips Gone is the early bird menu."

"I booked on the line, which was simple, but could be easier. Maybe the use of my phone was not a good idea. the day and the time were available. we were met by a beautiful maitre de who sat on a beautiful table. he was polite, friendly and helped to choose our drinks and meals. eating was extraordinary. I had the whispers and the juice was very garlic. delicious. partner had fish and chips. they offered garden beans because he doesn't like muddy heels. we have not been rushing. the restaurant was busy, but it felt not tormented. a beautiful meal in a beautiful environment"

"I dined at this restaurant on Saturday evening with five friends after receiving a recommendation from a family member. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant was empty except for two other diners, and the lighting was very bright and unwelcoming. Despite the initial setback of the staff being unaware of our booking and not having a table prepared for six, they quickly rectified the situation and we were attended to by a very attentive waiter. Our food selections were excellent, but the waiter's recommendations were even better. I would recommend this restaurant, however, the ambiance could be greatly improved by adjusting the lighting and upgrading the tableware. Adding tablecloths and candles would also enhance the dining experience. A more welcoming atmosphere could potentially attract more customers."

"We were looking to try a new restaurant for dinner tonight, and after passing by the New Talbot several times, we finally decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed! The service from the staff was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Our meals arrived quickly and were served hot and fresh! As curry lovers who have dined at some well-known places, I can confidently say that the New Talbot ranks among the best. We highly recommend it, and we can’t wait to return to try the mixed grill. Thanks, Jo and Neil! x"

"first visit, certainly not be the last. nice relaxed feeling, because it from the city (i.e. sevenoaks) most customers probably go there, so likely to win regular instead of a more transient customer base. eating was fresh and well presented, good variety they support a local junior school by building a fund to promote the night for them so good connections to the community."

"Had a couple of pints here the other night with my mate. It has a small, but pleasant enough outdoor seating area. Camden Pale was a pint. Reasonable service, with staff bringing the drinks out, and wearing masks. Card only, which is annoying. Interior...is fairly spacious. Toilets are upstairs. The Gents' toilet was out of order. Broken toilet seat in the Ladies'. Vegan options on the menu."

"I don't use to write such a bad review, however they gave me no choice. I have never had such a long and mediocre experience in a restaurant. We sat at 7.30pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. After a while we ordered 2 starters and 5 main courses. The starters arrived in 20 minutes and the rest of the food at 9.40 when we were nearly leaving the restaurant after have asked few times about our order. The food was OK. Expect my order who was wrong. I received something like peas and zucchini when I asked for a mix grill. They brought me another one which was supposed to go to another table. The meat and the fish was dried and not so tasty. We ate everything because we were really starving at that point but I actually didn't finish mine, so I shared with my friends who agreed with me about the quality. We paid our bill and after that we said we should have been entitled to have a discount. The answer was that the service charged hadn't been added because of that. The service charge is optional and, of course, we weren't willing to pay for that. A discount and an apology would have been very kind and shown some respect for the customers. Inconveniences happen but the attitude was unacceptable. Please don't go. Ps:the table behind us waited 2 hrs as well, the table in our right was out in 20 minutes. Basically, everything is randomly served."

"I ordered from Just Eat, but unfortunately, the system they provided to the restaurant was malfunctioning. So, we decided to visit the restaurant in person and were warmly welcomed in the lovely setting. The food was prepared remarkably fast, and we were back home just ten minutes after ordering. They offer a wide selection of vegetarian dishes along with all the classic curries for those who prefer something familiar. The food was absolutely delicious – even better than we anticipated. We will definitely be ordering again and look forward to dining in soon!"
